Leanne Morgan on Tour
A seasoned comedian with a uniquely Southern charm, Leanne Morgan tells stories that are as relatable as they are hilarious. It's no wonder audiences across America have connected so strongly to her funny, warmhearted and sometimes outrageous tales about juggling the demands of career and family, getting older, joining Weight Watchers for the seventh time and generally doing her best to raise her kids without going crazy.
Raised in rural Appalachia, Morgan was a stay-at-home wife and mother of three who caught the comedy bug while trying to entertain customers for her short-lived jewelry business. After honing her skills as an MC for events near her home in Tennessee, Morgan became one of the brightest new talents on the comedy scene thanks to appearances at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival, a finalist spot for the Nick at Nite TV competition show The Search for the Funniest Mom in America and her performances with Southern Fried Chicks, the hugely successful all-female comedy tour.
Morgan has shared her homespun, family-friendly brand of comedy on Dr. Phil and The View. When not performing stand-up in venues all over the country both as a solo act and with Trish Suhr and Karen Mills on the Country Cool Comedy show, she's collaborating with Home Improvement writer-producer Matt Williams on a forthcoming sitcom of her own.
Who is Leanne Morgan?
Leanne Morgan's frank, funny and relatable comedy style is deeply rooted in her experiences growing up in rural Appalachia and being a wife and mother in her own bustling family in Tennessee and Texas.
After attending the University of Tennessee and becoming a mom, Morgan discovered a love of performing when she started a part-time jewelry business and realized she liked entertaining the customers best of all. With her lively, engaging wit, she soon found enthusiastic audiences beyond her community. Appearances at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival and The View led to a breakout spot as a finalist on Nick at Nite's The Search for the Funniest Mom in America.
Morgan's three years with the top-grossing comedy tour Southern Fried Chicks and her many live and TV appearances with celebrity chef Paula Deen further increased her following nationwide. Appearing in venues across America, she continues to delight audiences with her tales of career, marriage and motherhood both as a stand-up solo performer and alongside Trish Suhr and Karen Mills on the Country Cool Comedy show.
Both comedians were excellent. Hardy laugh all night long.
Karen and Leanne was awesome laugh from beginning to end. Love them
Leanne was great but I couldn’t hear her or the opening comic. The seats were too close together and uncomfortable
So refreshing to have a great night out during this pandemic. Life has been exhausting, what a breath of fresh air to just laugh!
I love Leanne Morgan. She is awesome. I was shocked at the venue’s lack of Covid protocols. I had read that masks were required as was proof of a negative test or vaccination card. None of the above things were true. It was a bit unsettling to be with 2500 people with no required mitigation.
Leeanne Morgan and Karen Mills are just what the doctor ordered to make you forget all your worries and laugh until your face hurts. Truly one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Laughter is good for the soul. Everyone’s soul was smiling at then end of the show. Best money ever spent on a ticket. I highly recommend them if they come to your town.
Leanne was great- started on time and was as funny and lovable as can be- the gal who opened for her was great as well! Ticketmaster was a bit of a pain with trying to get our tickets once the person who bought them for us tried to share them- we had to rush and create accounts and it worked for 1/2 of us - would definitely of helped if a screenshot would be permitted. The technology isn’t easy for the age group attending some events- that needs to be considered!
Leanne put on a great show. She is so darn funny and her accent is amazing. I laughed so hard. Highly recommend the show.
Leanne is so funny we had a great time and would go see her again !!
The opening act was super! Then Leanne came out and we didn’t quit laughing the entire night. She is a gift. Haven’t enjoyed an evening like that in a very long time.
Leanne Morgan is a beautiful, funny lady. She had me laughing so much my jaws hurt and I had tears running down my face the entire show.
Leanne was great, but we were disappointed in theater. We thought info stated masks and vaccination or negative tests were required. None of this was true. Theater was packed plus ventilation was bad since theater was so warm. We had no complaints about Leanne—just about the Taft.
Karen Mills was an amazing opening act! So funny ! And Leanne Morgan did not disappoint! She was so funny, on point and didn’t miss a beat ! Love love love her !!
Thoroughly enjoyed the show. She is so funny without using vulgarity.
Not Ellen was the warm up person. She had the crowd roaring! Leann was beautiful, classy, and brilliantly funny. Couldn’t have been any better.
The Taft staff was very helpful. The opening act was not previously known to us but she was very good! Leeann was awsome and did not disappoint us!
The Taft is so comfortable and pretty! I had great seats! Karen Mills came out first and was pretty funny. Leanne is hilarious! She just cracks me up. If you can make me laugh out loud you are funny and that's just what she did!
Our girl's night was a yummy success! Laughter overload! I related to so many of her stories! Awesome performance!
I love that everything was relaxed and pretty easy to figure out. Leanne Morgan and her opening act were GREAT!!! Loved our time and experience for Girls Night Out!!!
The Taft Theater is beautiful and not a bad seat in the house. It was hot and stuffy but not miserable. Leanne was hilarious, as usual. We had a great time.
