About

Leanne Morgan on Tour

A seasoned comedian with a uniquely Southern charm, Leanne Morgan tells stories that are as relatable as they are hilarious. It's no wonder audiences across America have connected so strongly to her funny, warmhearted and sometimes outrageous tales about juggling the demands of career and family, getting older, joining Weight Watchers for the seventh time and generally doing her best to raise her kids without going crazy.

Raised in rural Appalachia, Morgan was a stay-at-home wife and mother of three who caught the comedy bug while trying to entertain customers for her short-lived jewelry business. After honing her skills as an MC for events near her home in Tennessee, Morgan became one of the brightest new talents on the comedy scene thanks to appearances at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival, a finalist spot for the Nick at Nite TV competition show The Search for the Funniest Mom in America and her performances with Southern Fried Chicks, the hugely successful all-female comedy tour.

Morgan has shared her homespun, family-friendly brand of comedy on Dr. Phil and The View. When not performing stand-up in venues all over the country both as a solo act and with Trish Suhr and Karen Mills on the Country Cool Comedy show, she's collaborating with Home Improvement writer-producer Matt Williams on a forthcoming sitcom of her own.

Who is Leanne Morgan?

Leanne Morgan's frank, funny and relatable comedy style is deeply rooted in her experiences growing up in rural Appalachia and being a wife and mother in her own bustling family in Tennessee and Texas.

After attending the University of Tennessee and becoming a mom, Morgan discovered a love of performing when she started a part-time jewelry business and realized she liked entertaining the customers best of all. With her lively, engaging wit, she soon found enthusiastic audiences beyond her community. Appearances at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival and The View led to a breakout spot as a finalist on Nick at Nite's The Search for the Funniest Mom in America.

Morgan's three years with the top-grossing comedy tour Southern Fried Chicks and her many live and TV appearances with celebrity chef Paula Deen further increased her following nationwide. Appearing in venues across America, she continues to delight audiences with her tales of career, marriage and motherhood both as a stand-up solo performer and alongside Trish Suhr and Karen Mills on the Country Cool Comedy show.

    I love LeAnn Morgan

by Dixie on 11/8/21The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

The venue was small and intimate with Covid precautions. The first comedian was okay. As far as LeAnn Morgan, 50% was old material with 50% new material. For the price, the show was about one hour and half. Not sure it warranted $200 a seat.

One of the Best Comedians. Ever. You will smile, chuckle, laugh, guffaw from beginning to end. I still had tears in my eyes as we were leaving the auditorium. If you have a weak bladder, wear Depends.

    Plesently Surprised

by Rufus Firefly on 11/8/21The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

Was concerned with the 80% female dominated crowd, but had a great time and laughed consistently for an hour. Leanne has a great delivery and timing. She seems so comfortable with herself and her performance. The Tennessee twang in her voice is refreshing. Nice to listen to someone who avoids politics in her act. Humor without politics can be done!!

    Great Performance

by DebJ on 11/8/21The Maryland Theatre - Hagerstown

Leanne was wonderful! She kept the show moving with her wonderful tales of everyday life for middle-aged, married women. She is relatable and hilarious, making us laugh at things that too often get us down. The venue is exquisite and comfortable! The opening act was meh. I would go see her again and again!

    Great show

by JH on 10/26/21Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

Really enjoyed both Leanne and her opening performer, Karen. My only comment will be that at times Leanne’s punch line was hard to hear from laughter around. It would have been great if her mic had been turned up a bit.

    Audio

by Marie on 10/26/21Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

Mrs. Morgan was wonderful…..incredibly funny and her opening act was funny too, from what I could hear. I know the Saenger theatre is an old building but you’d think they could put some speakers on the wall so those of us in the upper levels could hear better…..

    Fantastic Performance!

by sfejoe on 10/25/21Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - Montgomery

Although this show had been postponed several times due to Covid, it was well worth the wait. Leanne Morgan's performance was just amazing. I laughed until it hurt! Karen Mills, the opening act, was also fantastic. Both performers made light of things that were very real to me. I highly recommend seeing this act.
