Lavell gained huge national exposure on NBC's,  "Last Comic Standing."  Not only did NBC take notice, promptly signing Lavell to a holding deal with the network, but also Comedy Central, offered him his own half-hour standup special, "Comedy Central Presents: Lavell Crawford" which aired in early 2009.  Lavell's stand out work includes appearances on "Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam" which premiered on Showtime in December, "Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam" on HBO, "Showtime at the Apollo, "Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment", "Comic's Unleashed with Byron Allen", "Steve Harvey's Big Time, "Comedy Central's Premium Blend," "Motown Live" "BET's ComicView" and has appeared in the films "Baby's Mama Drama", "Beverlyhood", "Ghetto South Problems" and on the televised series "The Jamie Foxx Show,"  On stage, he played Ben in the hit play Men Cry in the Dark based on the Michael Baisden best seller. Lavell also recently appeared on stage with the critically acclaimed production Friends and Lovers, a stage production based on the novel by author Eric Jerome Dickey. Crawford played the scene-stealing "Bobby." He is also a frequent guest and host favorite on the popular E! late night talk show "Chelsea Lately".

Lavell has appeared at HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival (Aspen, CO),  The Comedy Festival (Las Vegas, NV), Laffapalooza and at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.

He will be shooting a new Concert Film this October in his hometown of St. Louis.

This was a good show. I laughed really hard. The taping made it long but it was worth it to support a native of St. Louis. Thanks Lavell. We luv you in St. Louis.

Lavell was awesome as expected! He delivered until late into the evening. Dominique was hilarious too. The Uptown was freakin HOT that night. Need to fix the A/C. I have seen many shows there and never had this problem before.

joe claire was a crack-up. very funny performance--monique was exceptional as well, but lavelle was the man as always keeping the crowd in an uproar. i thought he might use a lot of his old material but not true. he was amazing as he presented a lot of new material that i had not heard. simply amazingly funny. only drawback was the theater was exceptionally hot.

Saw Lavelle in ATL on 2/13/10 with Earthquake and Arnez J. Lavelle was the star of the show and had everyone falling out their seats. I have been liking Lavelle since the Comic View days and am very happy I made it to this show.
