by Bones21 on 9/17/13Paris Las Vegas Event Center - Las VegasWe got to the event a bit late, but able to see the main Mariachis on stage. Sol De Mexico and Mariachi Vargas was amazing. Antonio Aguilar hijo was OK. The songs he sang were nice, but the mariachis were amazing. I am sure the younger groups were also great, just go there too late.

I have not missed one in 14 years and I know people that have attended every year since the Festival began. I have been to other mariachi events in other cities but, Las Vegas is definitely the very best! This year the Festival will have Mariachi Vargas, Mariachi Sol de Mexico and Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano on the same stage! I would bet that no events in the country can boast the same lineup. I got my tickets and I can't wait!!!

by Yalu on 9/19/11Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las VegasBeing that it was Mexican Independence weekend we decided to attend this Mariachi Festival in Las Vegas. We were expecting happy, fast-paced, traditional Mariachi songs along with flklorico dancers etc, etc, etc... Unfortunately this show was actually putting us to sleep on the first half. It was nice and the Mariachis had a lot of talent but their songs were way to mellow and at sometimes boring. I would have loved to see a more upbeat show since it is Vegas and Mexican Independence day was being celebrated.

by Joycea on 9/19/11Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino - Las VegasSorry, not being Spanish speaking didn't help having to sit over three hours through mariachi music until the main attraction, Vikki Car. She came on speaking and singing in Spanish, not that I expected her to do differently. After awhile, the performers all began to sound the same, but they were not short of amazing by playing on stage with no music and able to play/sound perfectly.
