    Delightfully satisfying

by Pasqualicchio on 5/24/15B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Our group of 5 were of an age range of 76 to 50. As decent, moral folks, we were utterly delighted and truly satisfied to be entertained by Mr. Murphy, Jr. We especially liked when he kept referencing his family. Hats off to his dear grandmother, his loyal sister ( who was in the audience). Also, I dare say, our little party were of mixed race. We all thought the innocent, respectful things he shared with us were refreshingly funny. We all laughed just as innocently and thoroughly enjoyed the amazing show.

    Enjoyable Show

by HugeCCRFan on 1/9/15Palace Theater - Greensburg

I have waited some time in hopes of being able to see Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. live in my area and it finally occurred. The show was well rehearsed and ran exceptionally smooth. The back up band was sizable. Mr. Murphy is a very talented and engaging entertainer. The drawbacks were that the sound mix left a lot to be desired. Mr. Murphy's voice could not always be heard and a number of the instruments in his band were not audible. Overall an enjoyable evening with an engaging audience who joined the audience in the lobby after the performance, nice touch.

    Great Show

by Chillyman on 12/19/14Carolina Theatre - Durham

This was truly a wonderful concert! Landau is a class act. He had/has great stage presence, an awesome voice and a fantastic band. He can be quite comical too. An added bonus was Leonard, Coleman, and Blunt from The Temptations, The Drifters, and The Platters doing a set of Motown material. They did some really great vocals and were very entertaining as well. Landau did some Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Bing Crosby classics as well as traditional and modern Christmas songs It was a very enjoyable and entertaining evening. As a matter of fact, my wife and I liked the show so much we're taking some friends to see him in Charlottesville, VA on January 10, 2015. If you ever get a chance to see Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., do yourself a favor and go! Another cool thing was he came out into the lobby after the show so we get our picture with him. I love this guy.

    I love Landau!!

by bestlisa on 4/9/13Charleston Municipal Auditorium - Charleston

The concert was more than I expected. It surprisingly turned out to be a variety of talent around the state of WV along with Landau. Was a nice surprise. Landau is still every bit the person that I was such a fan of on America's Got Talent. He is what West Virginia is all about!!

A show filled to overflowing with talent from many different genres. A total entertainment package that benefited other organizations as well. Best ticket buy I have made in years!

I was to upset & unhappy with having to set through the dance GIRLS my evening was shot! The sound system sucked-could not understand half of what Mr. Murphy was saying & we so enjoyed the last show we saw with him & his wife do.

Landau Eugene Murphy Talent WV Showcase

by RichDun on 4/8/13Charleston Municipal Auditorium - Charleston

My wife and I were very happy with the show that Landau put together to showcase some of the great musical talent that finds its roots in WV. The only aspect of the evening was the inclusion of the Charleston Ballet. Their portion of the show was quite a bit too lengthy to be characterized as an introduction to them and their talented members. The rest of the evening allowed a decent look at each of the groups of musicians and singers without centering on any of them except Landau.

    Landau and others

by Jolliee on 4/8/13Charleston Municipal Auditorium - Charleston

I was very disappointed in the show. We left shortly after the intermission. I paid for Landau and I did not receive Landau. I received a variety of other performers and Landau doing jokes rather than really singing Motown or even his old songs. We had a group of 5 and we were all very, very disappointed. We are, however, Landau boosters.

    Great Show!

by DLCAKC on 4/8/13Charleston Municipal Auditorium - Charleston

We could have done without the ballet, but that's just not our taste in entertainment. The music was phenomenal. There is a lot of great talent in WV!

    Landau was great!!

by MotherTrucker on 4/8/13Charleston Municipal Auditorium - Charleston

I enjoyed Landau very much. It was the first time that I had seen him in concert. However, I could have done without the ballet dancers. People paid to see Landau not ballet dancers. There was a lot of other entertainment which I also enjoyed but I wanted Landau to sing the most and it seemed like most of the time it was the other entertainment that we were watching. I also wanted Landau to sing Country Roads but he did not. I really enjoyed the young boy that sang the religious song. He was really good. I also enjoyed the group Davisson Brothers, The Carpenter Ants, and Taylor Made. I could have done without the kid that had been on American Idol last year or so. He needed someone to tell him that he had awful sweat stains under his arm pits. We were on the front row so they were very obvious. Someone needs to teach Landau's wife to sing better however. She sang a song with him and was really flat at times. It started late and lasted about 4 hours so it was also longer than I expected but overall it was really good.
