by Drock58 on 7/11/16Michigan Theater - Ann ArborThere is no doubt that Laith has a great voice and plays a mean guitar. Where he excels is on his own work yet he covers classics really well. Where he falters is covering legends that he can not hold a candle to. It's ok to cover Hendrix but when you can't play like he can, don't just throw out chords to the beat. Also with his BB King cover, he plays far too many notes when the key to BB's music is less is more. It's not how fast you play the notes it's how you play the notes. Keep up the great work Laith and keep writing music!

Rating: 5 out of 5 Laith Al-Saadi and band was magnificent!
by RHarlow on 7/11/16Michigan Theater - Ann ArborI have seen Laith play in bars and a few venues as a soloist and a 3 piece band but I have never seen him with his 5 piece band and they were something to behold. They rocked the house! Not only was the crowd having a great time but so was the band. The break out solo's for each member and the back and forth between the drummer (Mark Damian) and percussionist (Jeff Trudell) was fantastic. The entire evening was a soul moving performance!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 Incredible Show!
by DennyMovieExtra on 7/11/16Michigan Theater - Ann ArborLaith Al-Saadi not only has an awesome Voice, but he can shred his guitars with the best of them! He performed a full double-set 3 1/2 hour show! The first set consisted of classic Blues, ala BB King's "The Thrill is gone" to his original compositions while the second set was mostly rock covers, ala Jimi HendrixThe biggest (standing) ovation of the night was for an extended version of Santana's "Black Magic Woman" which featured solo performances from each of his band members who are all exceptional!. Looking forward to seeing him again soon!

Rating: 5 out of 5 LAITH AL-SAADI: a concert in a million !
by Wolf1951 on 7/11/16Michigan Theater - Ann ArborAnn Arbor's own son Laith Al-Saadi. It did not take "The Voice" to make him deserve general recognition. He should have been famous long ago. His guitar playing is extremely versatile; he owns all styles and genres. His Cocker voice causes goose-bumps and his band is so powerful and fun to watch. One of the greatest concerts I have ever (!) been to. On stage Laith is shy, vulnerable and friendly and yet he rocks like a giant and sure got the blues , a blend of music's finest: Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Santana and B.B. King and the like. What more could you ask for ??? My wife and I were excessively delighted. And it all took place in the very Michigan Theater in which Laith once celebrated his graduation from the University of Michigan. Everybody was cheering all through the concert. Pure Al-Saadi-Mania!!!
