LaLa Land was wonderful at the Bowl. I have seen the movie 8 times and it was magical each time. I am so glad this musical came to the Hollywood Bowl for a huge celebration. The live orchestra was a wonderful addition. I appreciate the practice that made each note match the film. It was a great highlight of my year. Best firework show ever, set to my favorite musical.

It is watching a movie, attending a concert, having a picnic with a delicious bubbly, enjoying fireworks - all at the same time. They are going on tour, so watch out for a city near you!
It was so amazing to see my favorite movie with love music at the same time. They honestly went above and beyond especially with the fireworks that were let off during the show

Was so excited for this, and go to the Hollywood Bowl 10+ times a year. This was one of the poorest productions I've been to. My biggest complaint was that the screen was hidden behind the speakers, so only half of the movie was visible. This wouldn't have been a problem if the movie was continuously being shown on the smaller screens, but they kept showing the orchestra. At the very beginning they had live singers doing the opening song and I'm sorry to say they were awful. With all of the talented people living in LA I was surprised that this was the quality of singer they had hired. The whole opening scene with the dancers running on stage was just a colorful, confused cluster. The only saving grace was the fireworks at the end of the show, but even then you had loud fireworks going off during a quiet part of the song, and silent fireworks blasting off over louder parts of the song. Just in general a poorly executed event for such a beautifully made movie.
I enjoyed La La Land more at the Bowl than I did at the theater. Loved the live music and loved watching the musicians -- especially the piano man. We were delighted when there were real fireworks at the Bowl at the same time they were in the movie, along with the fireworks during the credits at the end. The fireworks were not like the fireworks on the 4th of July -- loud, big, and explosive -- but were quieter and gentler, like the jazz in the movie.
Full Orchestra + Movie + Singers + Dancers = PURE enjoyment! What a treat!

What an incredible experience. Conducted by La La Land's original composer with special guest from the movie and jazz greats. Exceeded they hype in every way. Hope they do it again!
The show itself was wonderful. Not only did they have the movie playing to a live orchestra, many of the original singers, musicians and dancers where there on the stage. They even had some of the costumes from the movie displayed and fireworks throughout the show as well as at the end. The major disappointment was that we could not see about 1/4 of the movie screen. We knew buying the cheap seats more toward the back would not give us a close up view but we figured watching the movie on the big screen would still be fine. But the lights were hanging at an angle that blocked the top 1/4 of the screen for those towards the back. So we only got to see people's bodies from the chest down. I don't recall when buying the seats seeing a warning that they had a view obstruction or I would have paid more to get a full view. This is the reason I gave it four stars. It was very frustrating.
Watching one of my favorite musical with live orchestra at Hollywood Bowl, under the stars of La La Land, absoultely magical!
Fabulous!!!! One of the best shows we have seen at the Bowl. Everyone loved it.
If you loved the movie, this show will not directly ssapoint! We dressed up vintage Hollywood to the event... so much fun! Me and my Group of six girls had a blast! The orchestra was amazing and all the little surprises in between. The icing on the cake was the fireworks Show!! Spectacular!!!! Loved it! ❤️
This was an amazing show, including a full screening of the movie set to live orchestra music for the soundtrack. Some of the movie extras sang and danced on the stage, too! The best part for me was the fireworks throughout and the end of the show!
We had a great time. The show was exceptional. The orchestra was fantastic and the fireworks were so much fun.
My daughter and I had forgotten how much we loved the movie until the live to film concert. It was so much fun watching it over again with the orchestra. And the spectacular fireworks during the movie and the finale just added to the greatness of the experience.
First time seeing a movie live in concert and it was amazing! Can't wait to do it again.
