About
Los Angeles Clippers History
The Clippers joined the NBA in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, an expansion team located in Buffalo, N.Y. The franchise selected future star forward Bob McAdoo in 1972 with the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft. He was named NBA MVP in the 1974–75 season, and remains the only player in the history of the Clippers franchise to win that honor.
The franchise, led by new owner Irv Levin, moved to San Diego in 1978 and was renamed as the Clippers. The franchise's stay in San Diego didn't last long. Levin sold the team to Donald Sterling in 1981, and he moved the franchise 120 miles north to Los Angeles.
The Clippers began their best era of success in 2010, when they drafted Blake Griffin with the No. 1 overall pick. One season later they acquired Chris Paul in a trade with the New Orleans Hornets, and "Lob City" was born. They advanced to the second round of the playoffs that same season, recording their second playoff series win in 36 years. The Clippers followed that by setting a new franchise record with 56 wins in the 2012–13 season, which began a streak of five consecutive seasons with 50 or more wins and a playoff berth.
During the 2022–23 season, the Clippers, led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, again returned to the playoffs. They fell to the Suns in the first round.

by bench485 on 4/7/14STAPLES Center - Los Angelesseats at staples center are uncomfortably small. Also, anytime someone in your row has to get by, everyone else in the row has to stand up and scoot back as far as possible to let them by

Rating: 5 out of 5 Griffin was Amazing
by Anonymous on 3/26/14STAPLES Center - Los AngelesThe game was fun. We had pretty good seats. The players were friendly, High fiving childred with extended hands as they ran by, my son being one of those lucky kids in that seating area. The Staples Center is a great place to see our favorite team, The Clippers. It's clean, well lit up, and we didn't feel unsafe walking to and from parking. My only wish is that the good seating wasn't so expensive. We can barely afford to go once a year and would love to go more often.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Clippers vs Pistons
by Gabester21 on 3/25/14STAPLES Center - Los AngelesMy son's 13th birthday wish was to see a game at the Staples Center. So we drove over from Phoenix. As a long time Suns fan we were not about to see the lakers. The Clippers vs Pistons game was actually pretty entertaining. The sound system in the Staples Center was nothing like I had ever heard. It really was intense. All arenas need this sound system to get you pumped up. We had a great time. Clippers won.

Rating: 4 out of 5 Great game, bad parking
by Rusalien on 3/12/14STAPLES Center - Los AngelesWe really enjoyed the game and our seats. Since it was our first NBA event and we have booked it on-line we were completely unaware of the parking cituation. So webooked parking at the time we bokked the tickets for $25 and spent 40 minutes trying to find the parking lot. While we were making loops around the crowded and partially blocked streets we passed dozens of available parking lots for $20 and less much closer to the Staples Center than our parking lot. Besides the parking problems the game itself was very intersting with a lot of fun during the breaks as well.
Rating: 4 out of 5by Anonymous on 3/5/14STAPLES Center - Los Angeles Good game. If only it were actually a competition.
