    VIP Disaster

    by Quinlynn W on 8/30/23

I had anticipated this concert for months and had talked highly of it to many people. I bought 2nd row floor tickets for my friend and I and flew out from Montana to see it. You can only imagine my frustration when after spending a couple grand on the trip(plane tickets, hotel, rental car, parking, food, ext) that the concert was cut an hour short. I took time off of work, worked hours of over time to afford the extremely expensive tickets only for it to end way sooner than advertised. If that wasn’t enough I also bought VIP packages for my friend and I. What a Mistake! We were given very little notice that they had decided that the schedule was changing and check in was an hour and a half earlier than scheduled. It caused us to have to cancel previous plans, and then even after accommodating to the new schedule stood in line for an hour and a half in the scorching sun. I had purchased VIP package B and while waiting in line they announced that package A(only difference being a send off that they didn’t even get to do) could cut in line! We had everyone behind us start getting in front! When we finally got inside the building it was complete chaos and we searched for our group(AB6IX) to get photos with, only to be told that they were done taking photos(AN HOUR BEFORE THE END OF THE MEET AND GREET TIME). I was then told if I wanted photos i would have to jump into the Cravity line. when we were about to meet the members I was yelled at for not forming a GROUP OF 10 people when i never knew that it was MY responsibility to do so or that it was no longer a group of 5 but a group of 10. luckily a group behind us needed more people and accepted us into the group. To call the a Meet and Greet is extremely misleading since there was at most 2 minutes from start to finish that was completely consumed with staff yelling at us to sit down, taking two photos, and yelling at us to leave. I broke down in tears because it was not the experience I payed for and worked so hard to make happen and then on top of it all I dragged my friend into it all. This by far was the biggest waste of time and money and I genuinely hope other’s experience wasn’t the same as mine, but after seeing post on social media I don’t think that’s the case. very sad that some people had even worse experiences

Worst Kpop Concert/ At Least all the Artists were there

    by Connie on 8/29/23

Disorganized. There was entire sections that were not filled and the stadium looked the mostly empty. The performances from each artist was professional and fun - as in, if each performance was top tier busking rather than a concert. Unfortunately, the crowd/audience wasn't giving the energy that was deserved. The only concert I've been to where most people are sitting during a performance rather than dancing or standing. The MCs did not know how to read the room - readily asking the same question to the artists about their experience in NY while the artists are huffing/puffing from completing a performance. The transitions from one artist to the other could have been more congruent, but it felt like rough cuts to one act to the next with Krazy concert screen just glaring into the audience. I wish there was more "hyping up"from one act to another w/ visuals alongside MC engagement with audience. JRE has a really good presence online on his social channels, so I thought there would be more of him connecting to the audience as a Kpop fan; especially, introducing a relatively small/unknown artist and building up to the artists most people know of. If the concert was in a smaller location, then the seats would be more filled and feel a bit more engaging. I am aware that this is the first concert but the time to promote or advertise this event felt more last minute.

    Arrangement

    by Chen on 8/29/23

Most of all it was great. The staff were very helpfull But unfortunately the organizer need to look up for some things 1. VIP check in. Since they were few VIP category, but all category A& B were queuein at the same line. Take me 2 hours fom 12 - 2 PM from the end of the line. At the end they told VIP A holder to move forward since it’s already time for us to start line up for meet & greet 2. Meet & greet also as far i can see some VIP B holder were in front of us because they made it to check in earlier than us the VIP A holder. 3. UBS arena : no food can be bought until 4PM, when the first meet & greet group is done by 2.30-3.00 pm. 4. No designated smoking area for the smokers, one of the staff told me if you want to smoke you can go outside bu do at your own risk because you cannot re entry the arena, or maybe it’s time for you to stop smoking. Very helpful statement rather than finding a solution to accomodate the smokers. At the end of the day there was a terrace that can be use for smoking but it was not open until 6PM!!! And we have to find it ourself

    Behind schedule.

    by Sky on 8/29/23

I did the VIP experience. Nobody knew anything about anything going on. Meeting with the idols, you were supposed to get a chance to talk, but we didn’t. Early merch was nonexistent. The concert itself was even delayed! The only group to go up right after the previous was Monsta X Shownu & Hyungwon. Jinsol, Cravity, AB6IX, and Monsta X Shownu & Hyungwon sounded great! The girls on the other hand, I don’t know if there were tech issues with their mics, but they sounded screechy, like they were struggling or screaming. Overall, even though it wasn’t organized well, I still enjoyed it.

Great concert, but cut short by one hour

    by Susie on 8/29/23

The concert was well done! The performers were incredible! However, the concert was cut short by one hour. I felt i did not get all that I paid for in this event.

    Pretty Good

    by Kundun9 on 8/29/23

IVE was amazing, as was MonstaX. However, the lame cheesy DJ interview question & answer part was annoying and a waste of time. The groups could have performed more songs. Additionally, they should have had a 3rd female group since they had 3 male groups. NMIXX or XG would have been a great addition to the lineup. Alternatively, you could have omitted AB6IX, and let the others perform longer, since they were awful.

    More!

    by Ww on 8/29/23

Concert was amazing! bring more shows to UBS. Headliners Ive and Monsta X should’ve had bigger time-slots.

    Great performances but with shortcomings

    by canadian on 8/29/23

Lighting on stage was too blinding to the eye; it would've been better without. The big screen could've been larger because it was hard to see at the balcony. The whole concert ended earlier than scheduled so the time could've been better managed maybe with more performances or talk time with the idols. I hoped for all the participants to come out at the end of all the performances and say a final farewell to the audience but the ending was abrupt.

Concert was great but vip package…

    by Mia on 8/29/23

I bought the vip B package which promised 5 fans in the group picture as well as allowed us to take pictures of the idols until we had to get our own picture taken. Ended up to be 10 fans in the picture and not allowed to take pictures or videos of the idols in the room. Disappointed about that.

Monsta X shownu and hyungwon are AMAZING

    by Cath on 8/29/23

The monsta x subunit shownu and hyungwon were so so good they are both so talented and put on the best show. The only complaint is this festival schedule had each performer going for 30 min when in actuality they went 15 min so very disappointed with this.

    Great experience!!!

    by Jessie on 8/29/23

I had a lot of fun! However, the only think that I can mention is that they didn’t notified us in time about the send off. Also, even if there were seats in the floor, people just stayed standing as for me I couldn’t see since everyone in front was taller than me. Apart from that, it was great!!!! Recommend 100%

    Poorly Organized

    by Anonymous on 8/29/23

The performers were great but the organizers of the event were horribly disorganized. They cut set times so the event ended 45 mins earlier then the schedule they provided, they changed seats without notifying guests ahead of time, and had a host who didn’t even know what they were meant to say before. It was honestly comical how badly planned it was. I feel bad for the performers for getting roped into this.

Great Artist performance but poor organization

    by SC on 8/29/23

I went to this event as a VIP A and the problems started the day before the event. This event came to public knowledge almost 2 months ago. They had enough time to plan it out, but I guess they focused too much on marketing, which didn’t go so well either. Overall it’s was a good experience bc of the performances and artist interactions, but the format was not the best. Below are my critiques: 1. They changed the check-in time like the day before the event. By one hr which still got ppl in late. 2. They promised ppl to get pictures from 2pm-3:30pm but that was delayed and ppl were lined up inefficiently. 3. Staff from venue confirmed thru DM that ppl were allowed to have phones while walking into meet and greet experience but that then that changed during it. 4. Rules of what can be done and what cannot was found out during the picture. Staff would shout at u for doing hearts with an artist. Like they could’ve made that known before for everyone what ppl can do and not do instead of alarming them or embarrassing them. 5. Since it took so long to get ppl sorted, the promised 5 ppl per artist group turned to 10 for some. However, u would then see other ppl getting away with either 5 or less with their desired group. 6. The performances for each group was cut short and the event ended one hr early. 7. Ppl who had VIP A were promised a send off with all Artists and were made to wait upstairs after the performances. However, only one artist showed up and then staff came by saying they’re sorry and that other artists were not coming. 8. VIP package merch was not great either. Ppl were mostly given XL tshirts and the tote bags were given to only certain package types. At least everyone got a light, they had to figure out themselves. In sum, every individual tries to make it the best experience they can for themselves and we can see the staff tried. However, with 2 months of planning, they could have tried harder. After all, a lot of money was on the line. I know ppl would agree with what I have to say. And I hope ppl are given back their money for what they were owed.

    Great show

Had a wonderful time. Great performance by everyone. Just like all concerts wish it was longer.
