KODALINE IN CONCERT:

Dublin-based rockers Kodaline are quickly rising to the top, exhilarating fans worldwide with their catchy pop tunes and infectious energy. Inspired by love and heartbreak, Kodaline's rich sound is packed with emotion, often striking a chord with fans during their live shows. Whether they're belting out hits like "High Hopes" or covering Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' "Same Love," the band pour heart and soul into their electric live performances, and their upcoming tour will be no different as they treat fans to hits from their No. 1 debut album In A Perfect World.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Kodaline got their start when childhood friends Steve Garrigan and Mark Prendergast brought their guitars to a summer camp in Dublin, spending the days penning songs together. Originally performing under the name 21 Demands, the duo added Jason Boland (bass guitar) and Vinny May (drums) to the lineup, forming Kodaline in 2011. Since then, the band has had a successful run with their 2013 double-platinum debut In A Perfect World, which peaked at No. 1 in their native Ireland and spawned two Top 10 hits. They've played massive sold-out shows and a number of festivals, earning a cult following in their short time together. The band return to the stage alongside Kings of Leon and Justin Timberlake for their upcoming shows, delighting audiences with fan-favorites along the way.

    Kodaline was completely amazing

    by graced11 on 10/18/13The Sinclair - Cambridge

I highly recommend both Kodaline and the venue, the Sinclair. Kodaline was on point, sounded better than their album, and even performed an a Capella cover (no mics, just an acoustic guitar), which they were only able to do thanks to the awesome Sinclair. Everywhere was a great seat, and the venue was small enough to make the experience personal. The opening act was none too shabby either, Diane Burch, and her album was being released the day of the performance.

Kodaline was absolutely incredible. They are all so talented and adorable. Steve Garrigan's voice is flawless. I also met him outside before the show and he couldn't have been nicer. Just an all around perfect experience!

Amazing concert The only reason i gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they ran out of shirts

    I was left speechless (literally)

by bananaa on 10/16/13The Sinclair - Cambridge

Kodaline gave me CHILLS. First off, Steve, the lead singer, is an incredible vocalist. If you think he sounds great on the album, you should see him live. Mark, Jay, and Vinny are also great vocalists... the entire band can SING! All four are so freaking talented, and it is evident that they know what they're doing. Second, this band brought so much energy to the venue; the crowd was beaming with good vibes. People were dancing, singing, laughing, yelling, and cheering. Not one person was just standing there. I was actually left speechless because I lost my voice from singing and cheering. Third, they were so polite and humble. Steve mentioned how they had played gigs where no one showed up, and he thanked all of us coming; selling out a show in Boston is a big deal. The show was so intimate, and the band was so interactive and friendly. All in all, this is a band that has captured my attention and stolen my heart. You do not want to miss a Kodaline show.

    Going far

by GHOT on 2/3/13Mercury Lounge - New York

A friend introduced me to them. It was a grat gig. Talented musicians full of youthful energy. I think they will go far. Sony exec's in the room and some celebs is always a good sign. I wish these fellow Dubs great success.

Kodaline are an awesome band and I'm glad to see them now before they make it big. The Mercury Lounge is a great place to see an up and coming band.
