Kodak Black In Concert
Florida rapper Kodak Black's rise continues apace. Released in December 2018, his second album, ‘Dying to Live,' shot to No. 1 on the Billboard charts, thanks in large part to the irresistible steel-drummed jam "ZEZE" (featuring Travis Scott and Migos' Offset) and the tropical-trap earworm "MoshPit" (with Juice WRLD). Kodak is hitting the road in 2019, supplementing his minimalist beats with live guitar and keyboards on a spring 2019 tour of small theaters and superclubs.
Kodak Black Background
Southern Florida has been at the forefront of the moody lo-fi hip-hop subgenre known as SoundCloud rap, and while Pompano Beach MC Kodak Black has skirted the peripheries of that scene, he's really a product of Instagram. The raspy-voiced, face-tattooed rapper born Dieuson Octave acquired the neighborhood nickname Lil Black as a kid growing up in the Golden Acres housing project, before adopting the Kodak Black moniker as his Instagram handle and stage name. In 2013, when he was just 16, Kodak released ‘Project Baby,' the first in a series of mixtapes that showcased his raw, lyrical perspective he came by honestly. His big break came in 2015, when, following the viral success of his freestyled single "No Flockin," he signed on with Atlantic Records, and his induction into hip-hop's upper echelons was further confirmed when Drake posted an Instagram video of himself dancing to Kodak's trap slow jam "Skrt." Kodak finally dropped his proper full-length debut, ‘Painting Pictures,' in 2017 – a star-studded effort (with guest spots by Young Thug, Future, and Jeezy) that debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200. A few months later, he released another mixtape, ‘Project Baby 2,' featuring "Roll in Peace," his hit collaboration with SoundCloud rap's reigning enfant terrible at the time, XXXTENTACION. But Kodak's most notable achievement of 2017 wasn't even his own track — Cardi B's world-beating smash single "Bodak Yellow" didn't just reference Kodak in its title, the entire song was built on his "No Flockin" flow.

Kodak was FOUR HOURS late bro we got there at 7 and he didn’t show up until around 11. Then about half an hour into his set he perc’d out and it was done. Kinda want my money back
Showed up 4 hours late with the crowd not knowing any information on what was going on.
It was supposed to start at 7 pm. He did not come on until 11 pm and only came on stage for 30 MINUTES. Ridiculous. Literally worst concert ever.
Kodak was late and barely sang the words to his songs. The event seemed very unorganized.
The concert started at 7 pm and was meant to end at 11 pm. However Nardo Wick only came on at 10 pm and played do 20 to 30 minutes. And Kodak only came on at 11 pm and everyone was annoyed at that point. He came on for only 20 minutes and did not sing in the mic at all. He barely sang on the mic and only did adlibs. The producers who were hosting the concert brought out random artist and had twerking contests to make time past. Overall it was a terrible experience due to the lack of performance and the timing of all the events.
Awful. The concert started at 7 and he showed up t 10:30. He then only performed for 30 minutes before the lights came on. The DJ was annoying and there was barely any real dancing or singing the whole event.
This genuinely was the worst concert I have ever been to. The concert was advertised as a Kodak concert at 7:00 PM. I understand how openers work but the fact that Kodak did not come on until almost 11:00 PM is absolutely ridiculous. He played for 30 minutes repeating songs and hardly actually performing. There was no set up, horribly planned out, absolutely awful. Kodak did not apologize for coming out so late he didn't thank us for coming did not even say goodbye he just turned the lights on and left. The DJ was awful and kept making sound effects that were ear piercing even over Kodak's performance. I seriously want a refund for this event and am mad that I have been denied one. Not to mention the fact that I rushed to get my tickets on time just for them to go 30% off right before the concert. The fact that I had to pay 120 dollars for nosebleeds for a performance that terrible is ridiculous. I am no longer a Kodak fan after that concert and want a refund.
Show started at 7, each artist did 2 songs an hour.. KB didn't even come out til 10:45 than rapped like 4 words a song. Like watching drunk karaoke. Ms B Havin was the real star!
When Kodak, finally, came on stage after long four hours of listening to horrible openers, he was barley singing. The big crowd on stage made it impossible to see Kodak. Additionally, he was on stage less time than each opener. I do not recommend attending, save your money and patience!
Was pretty bad. Doors opened at 6 and he didn’t come on until 11. It was a college event so I knew it wouldn’t be the full deal but still. Came onto stage clearly VERY high and probably a little too gone to perform. Performed maybe 8 songs and talked a lot over the course of 30 minutes maybe. Overall would not pay for his show again even though I’m still a fan of the music.
Concert started at 7 Nardo didn’t come out till 10:15. The sound echoed. It was so horrible I left at 10:45 because Kodak had not came out yet
He didn’t come out until 11, Nardo Wick only played for 10 minutes and the DJ was actually trash. I want a refund
He showed up 4 hours late, management apparently did not know where he was at, the Dj stalled for hours by having twerk contests and playing mid songs with a lot of siren noise buttons pressed. It was the biggest waste of time. And when he finally came on stage he didn’t really perform his songs he just danced around the stage smoking a black and mild to his songs being played. Then he mumbled in between songs going on rants people couldn’t understand. Before the venue kicked everyone out after 30 minutes if that of seeing him.
Made us sit through two twerk contests and the supplemental performers were terrible, the songs were bad quality and the actual artists (Nardo and Kodak) didn't come on stage until 15 minutes before the O'Connell center was supposed to close.
The concert started at 7p. Kodak comes dragging out at 11p and hardly performed once he was out there. The 4 hours in between were filled with no-name artists and twerk competitions on stage. Such a disappointment!!
three hours of obnoxious dj, kodak and nardo 3+ hrs late, 10min sets
not worth $250 that was ridiculous he came on so late and didn’t even perform he just danced the whole time
Kodak showed up for hours late. He didn’t even sing he just danced. I wish it “coulda been different.”
everything about this concert was god awful. I wish I could give this 0 stars because this was such a waste of money. I am disputing this with my bank because this concert was titled a "kodak black" performance when he in fact did not show up until the concert was scheduled to be over, didn't even play more than 5 songs, and stayed on stage for about a total of 20 minutes, and don't get me started on the other artists. This was a KODAK BLACK concert. So I'm wondering why all these little no-name artists were performing more than the headliner. Also, the DJ was terrible blaring airhorns for god knows what purpose and telling us every 10 minutes to put our flashlights on because "Kodak was in the building," when he was not even there. I am more than disappointed and working to get a full refund. Ticket master, what happened?
