Ready to book next year's jazz Christmas concert! The Tennessee Theater is a wonderful treasure. The event is loaded with plenty of Christmas spirit and the music is top caliber.
We’ve been going to this concert since it started. Great jazz and the best venue in Knoxville. It wouldn’t be Christmas without the KJO at the Tennessee Theater!
When I moved from New York to Knoxville, Tennessee, I truly though that I was entering a jazz desert. The Knoxville Jazz Orchestra proved me wrong. As all their previous concerts, the December 20 concert was a delight. Featuring steel pan musician Victor Provost, 3 singers, and 18 phenomenal musicians, the band played a series of hip and inventive arrangements that helped put me in the Christmas spirit even if only for a couple of hours. I would recommend suggesting this band out.
Knoxville Jazz Orchestra is full of awesome jazz musicians. Fun! I want to do it again!
Have seen several of the Jazz orchestras show. This was one of the beast, not the otheres ere ot special. Thais had an extra touch. Thank you.
Amazing the band the artist the entire presentation was amazing
excellent.....................................................................
Beautiful experience and such talent! Would definitely recommend!
It was an amazing experience to see and hear a group of incredible musicians in our town. There is nothing like live music to be shared. We are very lucky to have such talent locally. Invited guests are always a surprising gift, coming from international stars or soon to be stars.
There were 9 in our group that attended this concert. This has been an annual tradition for us for the past 10 years or so. We were so happy to be able to attend together in person. This concert always makes our holidays a little merrier. There is one in our group that is not a lover of jazz music, but he looks forward to this concert each year!
The Knoxville Jazz Orchestra is second to none! The theater was perfect. Ticketmaster did their job well.
Excellent concert. So fun and festive!! We are privileged to have such talent in Knoxville.
We have attended every KJO Swinging Christmas show since it’s inception. The orchestra was at its finest and Warren Wolf was excellent. The perfect setting for getting every Grinch into the Christmas spirit.
The concert by the Knoxville Jazz Orchestra featuring Warren Wolf was terrific. Not only were the arrangement very incentive and the soloists creative, but the audience was very receptive. It was a pleasure to listen to top notch jazz in Tennessee.
The Jazz is for Lovers concert by the Outstanding Knoxville Jazz Orchestra was a hit this year as it always has been in years past. Our area is blessed to have an orchestra of this caliber available to us.
Great Band w strong vocals ! The evening went by too fast!
Jeff Hamilton's dazzling, lyrical drumming propelled the KJO to the top of the game. His brushwork establishes him as the master of masters. "Salt Peanuts" done side-by-side with just himself and Keith Brown with brushes and snares was a good-humored, spellbinding event. Will Boyd, Alan Wyatt, Don Huff, and the rest stole the show moment-by-moment--until Jeff Hamilton and his phenomenal Trio with bassman John Hamer and pianist Tamir Hendelman dashed out to snatch it back. Bravo!
great venue great christmas show...................................................................
My wife and I were anticipating a good concert and a nice evening but were completely overwhelmed by what we experienced. This was our first KJO concert, but definitely not our last. They sound was amazing, rich, and full. The mood was celebratory from the first note to the last. The arrangements felt fresh and inventive. The guest artists were exceptional. The venue was perfect. I always love going to the Tennessee Theater. Concessions were a little pricey, but not unexpectedly so. All in all, a perfect evening. I left in a completely festive mood, I'd even say inspired. Looking forward to our next KJO concert and already planning on subscribing next year. Can't say enough about this talented group and the wonderful evening they provided.
