    Average show

by R. on 10/31/19Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

I had a great time. The show was a little disappointing. In my opinion the weakest line up that stars and guitars has had. Randy Houser could barely perform with a throat issue but he gave it a valiant effort and no fault of his. Mitchell Tennpenny stole the show. It was just an odd mix with gone west and carley pierce.

STARS & GUITARS / UP & COMING ARTISTS

by M. on 10/31/19Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

A fantastic (!!) and intimate evening spent with country music’s newest talents!! The artist’s and just guitars to accompany provided a simplistic but rich music experience. The candor, backstories and appreciation shared by all of the talent was simply terrific!! Broward Center was a great venue for this concert.

It was my first time ever coming to the broward performing arts center and I was extremely impressed, the place is beautiful and everyone was so polite and helpful. Made my experience and the show perfect! I will definitely be back soon to see the Phantom :)

Event was awesome, would of preferred it in a Saturday or Sunday so as to not have to rush through weekday traffic to get to it.

    Awesome Concert!

by PSRH on 11/1/17Charles F. Dodge City Center Pembroke Pines - Pembroke Pines

The concert was amazing. It was up close and personal. All their voices and songs sounded fantastic. Luke Combs' voice is incredible in person. Brett Young and Easton Corbin are so nice and their songs were beautiful. Kane Brown and Justin Moore were great too. The concert lasted two hours; I wish it had lasted longer! The venue was beautiful and the view and sound were perfect. I think it would be better if people would only enter /exit from the back of the venue, instead of walking in front of the stage all the time; that was very distracting.

    Sound system needs improvements

by MattPacillo on 11/1/17Charles F. Dodge City Center Pembroke Pines - Pembroke Pines

If you are going to the new Pembroke Pines City Center for a performance I highly recommend you do not get upstairs seating. The sound system was not thoroughly planned for the room layout and while sitting in upstairs seating, you can hear the people in the section around you more than you can hear the music! The lineup of artists was great, but they were extremely laid back and not at all trying to get the audience amped up or involved. All artists performed from their designated seat on stage, nobody took center stage for their time to shine.

    Great lineup/ Poor venue

by RunGirl73 on 11/1/17Charles F. Dodge City Center Pembroke Pines - Pembroke Pines

This was our third year attending Stars and Guitars. The concept is fantastic, the artists are amazing, and the previous venue was perfect! This year’s venue— not so much. Let’s start with parking. Parking was a mess, with no one guiding traffic into the grassy field we ended up parking in. There was no one stationed to help control the lines of parked cars, so when we left, we found the entrance was blocked by parked cars. We ended up driving to the far side and jumping the sidewalk down to the road, in order to exit. Oh and the lights were not functioning at all, so it was pitch black in the grassy field. Everything seemed disorganized. We arrived at 7pm, thinking we were late. Nope. They had just opened the doors. So there was a loooooong snaking line to get inside. Once inside, the lines to get a drink or snack were unreal, so we skipped the idea of enjoying a drink. When we got to our seats, we sat on the second level and 1) our view of the stage was partially blocked by the balcony railing, and 2) the sound system did not carry well into the upper level. To be honest, we left early. And I’m glad we did, because of the above-mentioned problem getting out of the grassy parking lot. I really really hope the venue is changed back to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts for next year’s show. This year, we felt it was just a waste of time and money.

    Stars and guitars

by Lolo1202 on 11/1/17Charles F. Dodge City Center Pembroke Pines - Pembroke Pines

The performance itself was great. There were major issues with the event. The gates didnt open till 7pm which created a huge line. The drink lines were out of control. Waited in like for an hour for drinks and missed half of the show.

    Great Show

by jtyl on 11/1/17Charles F. Dodge City Center Pembroke Pines - Pembroke Pines

As the facility is new, there were a couple of hiccups causing a big delay in entering the facility (Almost 7 pm). Otherwise the personell were friendly and helpful. The participating acts performed spectacularly (AAA rating) as has been the standard since I began attending Stars & Guitars in 2014.

    Very poorly put together.

by MorrisGolf on 11/1/17Charles F. Dodge City Center Pembroke Pines - Pembroke Pines

The event was very poorly put together. There was no direction on where to go and the event started 30 minutes late. It was way more organized at the broward center and the event should definitely move back there.

Artists are always amazing. Venue horrific.

by Tayyyyyytayyyyy on 11/1/17Charles F. Dodge City Center Pembroke Pines - Pembroke Pines

This venue was the worst. The only way in and out of your seats was to walk directly in front of the stage. It was hot inside and cooler outside. The Broward center for 2016 was much more professional and classy. This Pembroke Pines venue was very subpar. I will not be attending again if this is the venue for 2018.

    Stars & Guitars Disappointed Fan

by SadMusicFan on 11/1/17Charles F. Dodge City Center Pembroke Pines - Pembroke Pines

We had VIP Box seats, which we have always purchased at the Broward Center as well. The venue at the Pembroke Pines City Center did not compare. The organization when we arrived was disorganized. The Valet parking was not prepared. The Sound system in the venue was SUBPAR. The way in the seats face the stage are not set up for any type of "SHOW". The complimentary food and drinks in NO WAY compared to that of the Broward Center and for the price of the ticket, was very disappointing. Frozen appetizers warmed up that were COLD after five minutes, are not acceptable. I have been attending this show for many years and not sure why they moved it from the Broward Center, but i will not return if it stays at the Pembroke Pines City Center. Thank Goodness the Stars held up their end; just disappointing that their music did not sound as good as it could have.

    Great concert

by 3Iowans on 11/11/16Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

This was an amazing concert! Wasn't sure what to expect with all performers on stage at the same time, but it was really well done. The music continued from one musician to the next and continued for a good 2 hours. They all performed current hits as well as some of their earlier songs. Was extremely impressed with the Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center. It was beautifully decorated and was able to get a good view even from the balcony area. Reasonably priced tickets and for a great cause!

    Stars & Guitars was AMAZING!

by PSRH on 11/11/16Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

The format of this concert was great. All the artists on stage at the same time, taking turns singing...no bands, just a few instruments they played while singing. Awesome performances. Had a wonderful time and hope to go again next year!
