About

Kings Kaleidoscope is an American alternative rock band based in Seattle, led by producer, singer and songwriter Chad Gardner. Their music features an eclectic range of electronic, woodwind, string and brass instruments, with a musical style described as indie rock meets hip hop production with a sprinkle of Disney.

The marriage of electronic and analogue soundscapes is a love letter to Motown and math rock, with illustrative lyricism that runs the gamut of haunting, uplifting, and resolved. Singer/songwriter Chad Gardner carries these lyrics with a soulful treatment that complements calculated drum work to create a balance between groove and mathematics.

Often described as designed chaos, Kings Kaleidoscope's high energy live performances bring a collective spirit of improvisation and audience interaction that creates memorable moments night after night.

    Professional entertainers with heart

    by Stu on 8/23/23

King's K left me with the feeling that they often have performance in mind when they write their songs. The mixups and breakdowns do so well in a concert setting. They create an engaging experience and outshone the other performers of the night. They covered a wide selection of songs speedily, and often with creative transitions and combinations. If you like King's K in a multi-album way, you should see them in concert. If you don't already, you probably would be persuaded to after seeing than live.

Amazing atmosphere and music giving glory to Jesus! The joy that was in the room was incredible to be a part of and it was a fantastic night of worship and praise.

    Half crowd

    by Diego on 8/23/23

Half full venue felt more intimate. 8pm start time on a Sunday is hard to fill a room. Bands were great, sound was pretty good, drinks were overpriced.

    by Rho on 8/22/23

This was my first Kings k concert and I loved it! I love their music the audio was great but lighting was great the vibe was great! The opening bands not so much though. It was a little weird that the opening bands weren't Christian artists as well

    Amazing Show

by Timo on 6/21/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

I've been to a dozen solid concerts this year - this was better than all of them. Kings K is one of the best performances I've ever seen.

    Great small concert

by Cheese on 6/16/22Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

King's K was great to see live. They are solid musicians who mix things up while performing, making each concert a unique experience. Overall the concert is super loud, which is great if you like that sort of thing.

    Life Giving

by Seth B on 6/15/22Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

Kings Kaleidoscope was not only one of the best concerts I have been to. It was rejuvenating. It was a much needed break to the chaos around. It was the voice of hope amidst the oversaturated dispare that is filled in our media and the daily conversations everywhere you go. Can't wait for next year!

by Bogers on 6/14/22Varsity Theater - Minneapolis

Amazing show put on by an inspirational group in the perfect, intimate environment at the Varsity Theater. Strong, constant, and full set left us in awe! Hopeful to see Kings Kaleidoscope again soon!

    Amazing

by Keith on 6/10/22The Shelter - Detroit

I loved being able to see Kings K again after many years. They're absolutely one of my favourite bands and I'll do whatever I can to see them again. The only disappointing part was the venue itself. The stage was barely higher than the normal floor so many people couldn't actually see any of the band members.

    Wicked, Ballsy Show

by Nic on 6/10/22The Shelter - Detroit

They played a whole, yet-to-be-released album for us live, and then gave us all the hits as a chaser. It was bloody brilliant. Packed house. Awesome atmosphere. 10/10 would drive 6 hours to see them again.

Kings Kaleidoscope continues to change the game. Their new music is powerful, electric and raw. This was such an awesome show, it was so great to see them live again after the pandemic.

    Ineffable

by Jake on 6/10/22The Shelter - Detroit

I found this to be an experience that by attempting to summarize it, would be doing it a disservice. You can’t describe the thoughts and feelings that come with seeing a collective in such an intimate setting. I can only imagine they’re not playing arenas by choice. I felt like appreciated music more. These guys are no joke. Chad understands his purpose on stage and means everything he says.

The most thrilling concerts I’ve been to

by Joey on 6/7/22Bowery Ballroom - New York

The venue was so nice and we’ll set up. They had a merch spot and I bought a lot. I came with a few of my friends and we all had a fun time. They played songs that I knew by heart and some new songs which left me it actual tears. It was a wonderful experience to finally see kings k in person and everyone was very nice and into the songs. Overall, I loved the way it was set up and the Holy Spirit was definitely moving in there. “You’re the kaleidoscope” God bless đŸ™đŸœ

    Great Concert

by Meggie on 6/7/22Bowery Ballroom - New York

Kings Kaleidoscope was amazing live, and I would highly recommend anyone who is a fan to see them. The only gripe I have about this event is the poor communication about the timing. My friends and I were under the impression that would start performing at 8 pm or soon after based on the information on the website, and we did not know until we got to the venue that they wouldn’t come on stage until 10 pm. We got there at 7:30 pm and had to wait quite a while, and probably wouldn’t have arrived that early if we knew beforehand.

    AMAZING

by Baldie on 6/6/22Bowery Ballroom - New York

Kings Kaleidoscope is such an incredible group that powerfully performs every song on their roster. It was amazing to sing along with Chad and jam out with the rest of the band. The venue was great for the crowd and I am so thankful for the opportunity to see them in person. Opening band "The New Respects" was great, as well--high energy and wonderful opener.

    Incredible

by Nick on 5/29/22Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

Full transparency: I work in live production and generally don’t enjoy live events as an attendee because I just criticize everything instead of enjoying it. But Kings Kaleidoscope was incredible. Such talented performers. Any time they’re at Center Stage, I will def come see them.
