About

Kings Kaleidoscope is an American alternative rock band based in Seattle, led by producer, singer and songwriter Chad Gardner. Their music features an eclectic range of electronic, woodwind, string and brass instruments, with a musical style described as indie rock meets hip hop production with a sprinkle of Disney.

The marriage of electronic and analogue soundscapes is a love letter to Motown and math rock, with illustrative lyricism that runs the gamut of haunting, uplifting, and resolved. Singer/songwriter Chad Gardner carries these lyrics with a soulful treatment that complements calculated drum work to create a balance between groove and mathematics.

Often described as designed chaos, Kings Kaleidoscope's high energy live performances bring a collective spirit of improvisation and audience interaction that creates memorable moments night after night.

  • Intimate was the way to go

by Josh on 6/9/24House of Blues Anaheim - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen Kings K once live before and they were big and bombastic, and I had a blast at that concert. I came into this one expecting the same thing, but then it was calmer and more intimate. One of the things that I’ve always enjoyed about Kings K music is how authentic and raw it is. This authenticity paired beautifully with energy of the evening. Just before Kings K started, the group I came with was talking about the lost art of music video making, and then we saw his they used the overhead projectors on the stage to create a live at piece/live music video. We were all captured by the creativity and the visual addition to an already wonderful auditory experience. We left feeling rejuvenated, having spent time worshipping our creator, and doing so in such a unique way. My 2 Kings K concerts have been on opposite ends of the spectrum in a number of ways, but every time they bring their all and I can’t wait to do it again.

  • They are just Amazinh

I have been to two of their concerts both were mind blowing and incredible. The amount of effort and artistry that goes into their work is quite apparent during these shows. One of my personal favorite aspects definitely was the community, the people are so sweet, and everyone respects each other and personal space. Kings are great and so is their audience. 10/10 recommend :))) God bless

My husband and I had a wonderful time during the Detroit Show. We purchased VIP tickets last minute and were able to enjoy a private show for VIP guests! God showed up at this event…Can’t wait to see King’s Kaleidoscope in person again :)

  • Too much

by Suzy Wong on 10/17/23Gramercy Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I love Kings kaleidoscope Chad Gardener and his energy and performing are always inspiring and motivating. The sound quality was disappointing because the subwoofers overpowered his vocals. I walked away LOVING the performance. But the sound quality needed to be adjusted.

  • The vibes where immaculate

by Mandy on 10/17/23Gramercy Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The show was absolutely amazing. The energy in the room was so high and the music is just beautiful. The was the music honors God and is relatable at the same time, so it really hits you in the soul. I love how they made the show feel so intimate and even went into the crowd to play a song before closing out the show. 10/10 would go see Kings Kaleidoscope again. I left the show wishing it was longer!

  • AMAZING PERFORMANCE!

    by D. T. on 10/14/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The band sounded amazing and Chad sang with such passion and energy! I loved that they came into the crowd for a little acoustic set too; that was an extra treat. You can really tell that they’re all a family by how the interact with each other during the songs. One of the guitarists definitely had me howling when he was playing the guitar with his mouth!

The concert was great! I especially loved how they interacted with the crowd, even coming into the middle at one point and doing a song full on acoustic!

  • Extraordinary energetic experience!

by The Christwin on 9/4/23The Fillmore - San FranciscoRating: 4 out of 5

It was my first time seeing Kings, and it was super fun! Chad and the band really brought the energy, and I loved how they did fun little mix-ups and added extra musical flare that you don't get to hear on online music apps. Love ya, Kings! My encouragement would be to have someone onstage do something like a short little gospel message/invitation- I think there were probably a lot of people there who didn't know Jesus, and it would've been a great opportunity to tell others how to get saved. After all, that's what life as a Christian is all about, right? (Having said that, if YOU'RE wondering how to be saved, go read the gospel of John.)
