Great number of fights, and also great quality of fights. Got a good show that lasted more than an hour and a half.
it was great, will attend the next event in october no question....
THERE was one match that lasted only 17 sec resulting in a KO and one that was real bloody i will go again.
The fights were good, event was well organized, and Cobo staff was very nice. I can't wait to go to another one! Come back to Detroit soon!!
The event was to start at 7pm and didn't start until nearly 9! The roster was cancelled/changed and the show seemed very unorganized!! At least some kind of entertainment while we were sitting there for 2 hours would have been nice!!!!!! This show was a joke!!
the event was good the fights were great there was alot of lag time between events that I saw caused others to leave early they should have more sideshow events to fill in the evening.
This event was a waste of time and money for me and those who attended the event with me. Waiting for 45 minutes until the main event was to start and it still didn't start on time.
prelim fights were short and 3 fights were canceled, so there was an hour delay before the main card. That being said, the main card fights were awesome! Plenty of knockouts for the true fight fan!
My husband and I had a blast at the King of the Cage Fights. We had affordable front row seats, the cocktail server took excellent care of us and the energy in the place was awesome. Nick Gaston won his fight (yay!) but Tony Lopez and John Murphy lost their fights. (I almost cried!) We still had a great time. The drawback: the view on TV is better. The support beams of the cage get in the way and it's hard to see what's going on when the fighters grapple. But the TV screens helped.
great card from top to bottom, the fights not seen on HDNETS were as good as the ones shown. Fighters walked around in the crowd and took photo's with fans and signed autograghs. 4 out 5 because the fighters were mostly unknowns. TONY LOPEZ is awsome for the sport and KOTC.
THE BEST FIGHTS WERE THE LAST TWO........AND THEY WEREN'T EVEN TELEVISED!!
Overall a good event. Knockouts galore. Good grappling. A great time with my girl.
The seating was great it felt like you were right there with the fighters. There was plenty of restrooms and beer vending. The staff were very friendly and escorted us to our seats automatically. The fights themselves were exciting and the announcer moved things along so there was very little downtime. I will definitely go again.
bought these tickets as a birthday gift for boyfriend, he LOVED it! the fight was exciting and had you on your feet yelling with the crowd.
The fights were worth it. But the seating was bad. No stadium or bleacher type seats. Just a lot of chairs that were to close together. But when the fights started, you forgot about that. We were 4 rows back and had no problems seeing all the action. We were close enough to hear a fighter's nose break when he was kneed in the face.
This was my fourth such event at the Inn and by far the worst! Fighters were generally mismatched (mostly one rounders) and most lacked skills. The one bright spot was the female fighters who were well-matched and fought with both skill and courage. They got the best crowd response by far despite the local girl losing to the out-of-state challenger. I left in disgust before the final round of the lackluster and sloppy "main event". This bout was billed as a world championship but turned out to be a bad joke. I can think of lots of better ways to spend my $100+ entertainment bucks. This event was low rent "entertainment" for a high rent price.
I had never been to a fight before- I cannot believe the professionalism of the fighters. The audience was really into the sport. The fights were spectacular especially, Mike "the Joker Guyman" fight! He was amazing!! I cannot wait to see the next fight!
This is a small venue but San Manuel does a good job. The King of the Cage fights are entertaining. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Usually some top-notch fighters there milling about.
This my first MMA fight.....ever. Never seen on TV. I have never watched UFC. It wasn't as graphic as some people said it could be and it was exciting. The call seemed like a bad call. The Heavyweight Championship was retained, but the audience booed, and I thought it would have been the reverse decision, hands down....and not an expert, but it seemed obvious. The Joker dominated the event with his extra-strong pinning and flawless moves. He was AMAZING! Will definately look into going to more local events. The venue was perfect and easy to get to, park, etc.
