    Kina Grannis killed it!

    by thuff7 on 5/15/14Birchmere - Alexandria

The impeccably charming Kina Grannis brought her new band to the Birchmere on her new album Elements debut mini-tour and completely awed the crowd. She quickly captivated the crowd's attention with a stellar performance of a wide selection from Elements sprinkled with favorites from her previous album Stairwells. They included Valentine, Cambridge, In Your Arms and an encore throwback to her classic song Message From Your Heart that debuted during halftime of the 2008 Superbowl. With a strong show of solidarity from her most-capable bandmates, she shed some of her endearing awkwardness and took complete command of her music. The Beatle-esque screams from the adoring audience were in no small part a show of excitement and pride for the clear mastery of the musician and the music.

Kina & Imaginary Future, amazing vocals!

by DCGuyinVA on 5/15/14Birchmere - Alexandria

First time seeing Kina and we had a great time. She even took soooo much time after the show to interact with fans, meet and greet, and sign autographs. Like all good concerts, the only draw was that it seemed too "short," and she didn't do all of the songs that I would have liked from past albums, but I was glad to be a part of her new album concert series and really connected to many of them. Birchmere location was great too - good sound, close to stage, comfortable temp, and good service staff in clean environment. Come back more often!!! :)

    Fantastic

by Anonymous on 5/15/14Birchmere - Alexandria

This is my second time seeing Kina and it was even better than the first. First was fantastic, second was fantastic x2. Kina is a wonderful performer, in touch with the audience, and you can tell she does this because she absolutely loves it. Second time at Birchmere as well and it's a great venue. Organized, prices aren't too bad, I definitely always check their calendar.

    Kina Grannis is my favorite!

by melissathimm on 6/23/12Aladdin Theater - Portland

Kina was more than what I hoped and expected for. She was humble, open to sharing about herself, and performed beautifully. It was also great to discover Imaginary Friend, her opening act. I thought it was so cool that she has her sister Emi there performing as well. She gave off the presence of a smart, charming and fun young woman focused on bettering herself as a person as well as showing focus on family and relationships. It's refreshing to see such an amazing role model up on stage performing so beautifully. I was smiling the entire time while watching and listening to her amazing art. Kina Grannis ROCKS!

    Kina Comes Home

by Humuhumunukunukukuapuaa on 6/12/12John Anson Ford - Los Angeles

Welcome Home Kina!!! What a magical evening outdoors at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood. It was general admission seating, but really not a bad seat in the house: very intimate, with excellent sound and sightlines. A mellow all ages crowd of Kina fans to be sure, along with family in the house. Her sisters joined Kina onstage for several numbers. Kina's honesty, strength/vulnerability, sweetness, compelling lyricism and superb fretwork won us all over, and had us hanging on every word. Definately one of the most memorable performances I've ever attended!!!

    Kina was a real sweetheart.

by jenick on 6/12/12John Anson Ford - Los Angeles

Kina has an innocence and natural beauty about her that is so missing from our society today. Her songs were from the heart and really touched me, especially the one about her mother being so ill. She was very engaging as the audience was pulled right into her performance - we were all hoping, as she was, for a deer to appear on stage. Bravo to Kina and her sisters!!!

    Kina is amazing!!!

    by BIGDAR53 on 6/12/12Aladdin Theater - Portland

I loved the show and I would buy tickets to see her again anytime. I only hope she comes to Eugene as we traveled to Portland to see her last show. This little dynamo is about to become very popular in the near future, that is a guarantee.

    Great voices!

by Anonymous on 6/12/12John Anson Ford - Los Angeles

Kina Grannis has a beautiful and sweet voice. I saw her and the opening act once before and she was just as amazing. And her opening act Imaginary Friend has an amazing voice as well, and his banter is entertaining.

    Better live.

by jamjellytoast on 6/11/12John Anson Ford - Los Angeles

Kina is better live and meeting her was awesome. Imagery Friend is a talent I never about but he was a good guest. Also Keith playing the cello w/ Kina was awesome. Watching her live is way better than watching her online. Also I was being taped for tour DVD which was awesome :)

    Kina Grannis was amazing

by Kinerd on 5/23/12Ford Amphitheater - Los Angeles

I was honestly hesitating about going to the concert, but I am glad I went because it was the best concert I had ever went to. I really wish I had a meet and greet ticket though and was really sad I didn't get to meet such an amazing and generous person in person. My favorite moment of the concert was probably the time she sang Message From Your Heart and had the whole audience sing it along with her and make the sound of the heart beat, or the time she sang Make It Go because her performance during that song was so honest I almost teared up.

    She will make you smile

by Anonymous on 5/19/12The Fillmore - San Francisco

Not only is her music absolutely touching, she herself made this show a wonderful experience. Kina was unbelievably down to earth, had a great sense of humor and made the audience really listen to her beautiful voice that, if I might say so, sounds even better live than on her records! I loved the combo of her guitar and the cellist, and was fortunate enough to hear both her sisters sing as her backup singers, which sounded great. Kina makes you smile and is inspiring in so many different ways. I'm glad I got the chance to go and you will definitely be seing me again at a Kina Grannis show!

Kina was the "Paradise" in "Paradise Rock Club"

by KGLove on 5/3/12Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Kina Grannis is always naturally beautiful, down-to-earth, and vocally mind-blowing. Her voice is smooth, soothing, clear, and wrought with genuine emotion; a blend of melancholy and hope. A person can't help, but, to smile after hearing her perform. Amazingly enough, she sounds just as great, if not better live than her studio recordings. Keith, her equally smooth and humble cello player made a nice addition to her set/the show. Jesse, a.k.a. "Imaginary Friend" also meshes very well with Kina's sound. Imaginary Friend is almost the male equivalent of Kina. His sound is somewhat like a John Mayer meats Coldplay. My only complaint was some of the staff members of the venue (Paradise Rock Club) were rude, apathetic, and pushy, especially, for an all-ages event. These certain individuals did not represent the artist(s)/musicians well.
