    Girl can sing!

by Hannah on 10/2/23Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

I recently attended a concert by Kiana Lede, an event filled with highs and lows. While there's no denying the artist's incredible talent, a few aspects of the evening left me with mixed feelings. First and foremost, let's talk about the star of the show – the artist herself. Her voice was nothing short of insane, and it was evident that the microphone was on. Every note and lyric she delivered was powerful and emotionally charged, reminding us of her exceptional talent. My love of her voice and music was solidified. However, the venue choice left something to be desired. The concert took place in a cramped room, and it was abundantly clear that a larger venue would have been more appropriate. The overcrowding resulted in a mildly uncomfortable experience, especially for those who prefer any personal space. I have been to many events here and have had good experiences otherwise. I think she may have underestimated the size of her fan base in Detroit. One of the most significant issues of the night was the artist's failure to tailor the performance to the venue. Most of the audience was standing on the same level, making floor routines challenging. Sadly, these routines were not kept to a minimum, making many of us struggle to catch glimpses of the artist throughout the show. Considering the ticket price, it was frustrating not to see her clearly. Furthermore, the sound quality in the back of the room was abysmal. It was nearly impossible to hear anything the artist sang clearly. Fortunately, I knew the songs well enough to sing along based on the music alone, but it was disappointing not to hear her vocals clearly. This issue could have been quickly resolved with better sound management. Lastly, there was a 15-minute sidebar during the concert that led to some members of the audience being reprimanded for not listening. This interruption felt unnecessary and disrupted the overall flow of the performance. It was a puzzling moment that left many of us bewildered. I appreciate that music is a form of emotional expression and is full of feeling and experience; however, we are there for a performance, and background and storytelling need to be straightforward and to the point. A traumatic dive into the artist's personal experiences was not needed, and reprimanding audience members for having conversations while the artist spoke came across as rude and unnecessary. Kiana Lede put on a great show, showcasing her undeniable talent. However, the choice of venue, floor routines, and sound quality need significant improvement. I hope future performances will consider these aspects to provide a more enjoyable experience for all attendees.

    Sleepy and over sold

    by Nevagonnagetit on 9/30/23

It took forever for her to get on stage. The show was supposed to start at 7 and they didn't even let us start going in the venue until almost 8. She didn't hit the stage until over 2 hours after the 7pm advertised start time. The music was so unbalanced that I couldnt hear her except when she performed a song that no one knew. Her stage presence just wasn't there. She just stood there and posed or layed/sat in the floor. No energy. We all started getting sleepy. To be honest. I feel like I wasted my money. I had to buy a booth when I got there because it was so overcrowded that the 6 of us couldn't see or fit anywhere. In the end I paid about $450 to see and hear Kiana and in the end I regret it.

    Grudges!

by Nix on 9/30/23Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

Kiana Ledé is the present and future of R&B! She is one of the very few artists who keep me having hope for today’s music. The vocals are phenomenal and her mic stays on! If I could afford to, I’d travel to every city for every show.

    Life Changing

by Shon on 9/30/23Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

Kiana’s music was the reason I came, but her presence, the way she engaged with us, her joy through the trials she shared with us is the reason people say artists change lives. Her show was life changing and life giving. Wow.

by AnnLopezATX on 9/24/23Scoot Inn - Austin

KIKI was just too good LIVE! Something I highly recommend you experience. She’s so beautiful, humble, and her voice!!!! Her voice and lyrics make you feel all types of emotions. I loved all of her moves and stage set up. She shared a personal, vulnerable moment with us and I truly connected with her. I could see and feel of the effort into her show! I would definitely go see her again.

    Small venue

by Brea on 9/24/23Scoot Inn - Austin

The outdoor venue was pretty small for the amount of people in attendance. The heat, while nobody’s fault, was unbearable. The performance was advertised for 7:30 with doors opening at 6:30. However, doors opened at 7:30 and she did not perform until 9.

    MIC WAS ON

by Rea on 9/24/23Scoot Inn - Austin

Stage was a little too low compared to standing view, she did some songs on the ground and I couldn’t see very well. Line to get in was a bit confusing seemed like a lot of skipping or just not redirecting people to where they needed to be. Ran a little late. Overall seeing Kiana live was amazing!
