About

Before R&B singer Keyshia Cole was headlining her own world tours, she was enlisted as a supporting act for such major stars as Nelly, R. Kelly, Kanye West and Lil Wayne. However, even as an opening act, Keyshia had audiences transfixed. She continued to release hit songs like “I Changed My Mind,” “(I Just Want It) To Be Over,” “Love,” “Let It Go,” “Trust” (a duet with Monica), and “Take Me Away,” and, as a result, Keyshia garnered a legion of her own fans worldwide, all eagerly lining up for tickets to watch her perform LIVE. Fans and critics regularly praise the stylish diva’s concerts not only for her vocal chops and dance skills, but for the way she’s able to emotionally connect with the audience on a deep level. This two-way exchange is enhanced by the fact that the star’s personal struggles were made public by her decision to star in her own BET reality TV show “Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is”—a brave move for any artist. Among her biggest influences, she cites the likes of Anita Baker, Faith Evans, Brandy and Mary J. Blige.

Keyshia Cole: A Different Me Tour

by Matty19 on 7/12/09Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

To put it quite simply the show was AMAZING!!!! This was my first concert in some time but I picked a great one to see. I am a big fan of Keyshia's to begin with but she also had Bobby Valentino, Keri Hilson and The-Dream all perfroming as well. Each act was sooo good! The tickets were also very cheap. For my ticket and parking at the Fox Theatre was about $80 which I think was a steal considering how many people were on the bill! Also my seats were about 15 rows back so I had a very good view of the entire show. Everyone on the show had high energy and sounded great live! Overall I was very impressed with the show and would buy tickets to see any of the 4 acts that participated in this wonderful concert!

    Keyshia Cole A Different Me

by JaiiR on 7/12/09Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Overall , I had a good time. I drank a little and jammed to some of my favorite songs. Even though Keyshia was the main headliner, I really came for The Dream. He rocked the house and I was hyped! Bobby Valentino surprised me by his performance because it was actually great. Keri, well I think she looks better than she performs, but she's a great singer!

Wishing for a refund on Keyshia Coles wack act

by Meshi on 7/11/09Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

Keyshia Cole was such a dispappointment! After seeing Keyshia do an awesome performance for half the cost initially I didnt mind forking out the extra for another good show but to my surprise this so wasnt a good or even decent show for Keyshia. The Dream made up for Keyshia's lack of entertainment. The entire show for Keyshia was a waste of time! Maybe she should consider choosing another show manager because her choice of songs, wordrobe, set, & act were a far cry from the Keyshia I seen just a year ago at Chene Park in Detroit. The cost was too much for such a crappy show, I wouldnt have paid that much to see the Dream but in all actuality he was the show stopper not the headliner.

    Keyshia Cole is so sexy

by who11vjonz on 7/11/09Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

You can see Keyshia evolving from young girl to woman right before your eyes. I was very surprised to see that she performed with a live band, I was even more surprised when she blew my hair back with her voice. I love Keyshia Cole even more, after seeing her perform live. She is really a gifted performer with a strong voice and a very high energy level. I enjoyed her command of the stage and I really enjoyed feeling her, I could feel her emotions when she sang a song. I have seen the best MJB, Patti, Nancy Wilson, and Gladys for sure Keyshia is a act worthy of comparison.

    My girl Keyshia impressed

by MissE on 7/11/09The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The concert overall was great! I enjoyed all of the acts that performed. It really helps that all of the acts are those that I actually listen to, its better if you know the songs. I was singing along to every song performed. Keyshia Cole is the realest, like MJB. and she's my favorite. Seeing videos and listening to the radio is one thing but a live performance is a must see, if the artist can really sing. Keri Hilson did her thang dancing (female Usher), I liked that. The only downside to me was the fact that the opening act (Bobby Valentino) didn't even get a apotlight on him as he performed, he almost sang in the dark, it was so dim in there. That was so disrepectful! Opening acts should get the same knid of love as the other acts. Nice to see Keyshia Cole dancing, I see she has taken some lessons. I saw her last year and her dancing wasn't good, she's getting there! The Dream (little R. Kelly/Prince) was alright, nothing special but good.

Keyshia Cole - From An Unsatisfied Lover

by INVU on 7/11/09The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Dearest Keyshia - The Chicago Theatre as a Venue really sucked - big fashion. Their audio system sucks and the seat arrangement is the pits. We happened to check Maxwell out there and should have learned our lesson then. For your concert we had pretty good seats in row L - but in row K there were two teenagers who stood up nearly the entire show and we discovered in that theater when one person stands up - the person behind is forced to stand also - if they want to see anything. The seats were not designed for a modern day concert enjoyment. I will NOT return there. Who was that vulgar mouthed - dude trying to flex his muscles. You mean people are buying that --- he's spouting. Whatever! Him and that Bobby Valentino are both "tired". WOW that Keri Hilson is the WORD she's definitely on the rise, Keyshia. A nice edition to your tour card. Speaking of which you had far too many acts. Damm-mm they just kept on coming to the stage babe. When all I wanted to see was YOU. I couldn't take too much more and we left after your 8th song. Which by the way I think your current CD lacks the creativity and fire you used to spit. You stated on various interviews that you're in a better place now in terms of life. You're happier....that may well be. But back in the day when you had drama - you were the truth. Maybe you need to get into another stressful scenario - so you're creative juices will flow again. I'm just saying. But don't mind me too much. You are still a beautiful songstress and a pretty darn good songwriter as well.

    Stellar Star Performnces

by Blqwmnwawpn007 on 7/11/09The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The concert was awesome!! All the artists put on great performances, the only issue was that the technical guys made a couple of mistakes with the lighting on Keyshia as well as they missed their cue when her duet with TuPac when she wanted to talk to the audience for a minute but he kept on running the music!! They also let the music overpower the artists at times where you couldn't hear them very well but as a true fan you knew how to follow along. In spite of those two simple errors THE CONCERT WAS SUPERB!!! I love it and would love to see them again and can tell anyone in any other state..GET YOUR TICKETS AND GET READY TO ENJOY!!!

    Keyshia Cole & Friends

by Creolecutie on 7/11/09The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The concert was great! First up was Kheri Hilson. She did a fabulous job singing and dancing. I knew she was a songwriter but who knew she wrote, "As I Am" for Mary J. Blige. She did a a cappella piece during her set and sang several songs she wrote including "As I Am" and rocked it. Next up was Dream. The whole crowd was singing and you got a feeling he was doing an ode to Michael Jackson with the glove and tight smedium shirt. He was definitely rocking that thang! Keyshia was awesome and sang just about every hit song on her albums! She did a wardrobe change and rocked a dress and long weave. She looked good and sang/dance her little heart out. There were 2 moments during the concert when the lighting guy had her spotlight either off when it supposed to be on, and then on when it was supposed to be off. Keyshia let him know for real during the concert! Chicago Theatre better get it right. Overall I had a ball - with and without the spotlight in the right place. The whole audience was dancing and singing throughout the concert like we're supposed to!

A Different Me Tour was Different.

by bowleggs on 7/11/09The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

It was different because there was intermission for every performer. That was difficult for me to adjust to. The time was spent setting up for the next performer. When the acts took the stage, they took the stage. You were rocking from beginning to end. I would and have recommend seeing all of the performers in concert. Keshia was great, and the other performers were a surprise. I had no idea who would be performing. It was great. Thanx.

    The rehearsal

by Botswana on 7/11/09The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The Chicago theater was not the right venue for this show. The stage appeared to be to small and the seats were uncomforatable. When the first act came on, the Dream or Bobby, I kept wondering if they were rehearsing. It turned out that they were not. It was like a high school talent show. The DJ was on stage with the performers taking up more stage space and all this added to what looked unprofessional. Keyshia was okay. Better than I heard or expected. I would have liked maybe one or two opening acts, there really was no need for three, The Dream, Bobby Valentino, and Keri Hilson. The opening acts were poor and amaturist. Overall I was underwhelmed.

    Keyshia is so sexy!!

by DaOne on 7/11/09Milwaukee Theatre Wisconsin Center District - Milwaukee

It startedd with the awesome Bobby V., he's so cute! Ms. Kerri baba--made my son drool the whole time she was on stage. Da Dream was "rockin dat thang like!" Of course Keyshia fine, sexy self came out and SANPPED OUT! She was firece the whole time on stage, singing all her hits, the performance was tight, and the backdrops were great too. So sexy she is---I would attend another one of her concerts.
