KEVIN GATES IN CONCERT:
New Orleans-bred rapper and freestyle king Kevin Gates is quickly making himself known within the hip-hop community since breaking onto the scene with 2007's smashing mixtape Pick Of Da Litter. Combining his raspy flows with soulful crooning on heavy hitters like "Satellites" and "Arm & Hammer", Gates has a finesse that keeps fans coming back for more. Back on tour, Gates and his hype men will have ticket buyers getting down all night at his upcoming shows.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Kevin Gates, born Kevin Gilyard, grew up on the streets of Louisiana finding solace in music by penning lyrics at a young age. After spending years honing his craft, Gates released his debut mixtape Pick Of Da Litter in 2007. Although it wasn't an initial hit, the album sparked several more releases and attracted attention from big-time artists like Lil' Wayne. The up-and-coming rapper has been on the rise ever since, collaborating with Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J on his 2013 mixtape Stranger Than Fiction and having music featured on Rolling Stone's 100 Best Songs of 2013 list. With his 2014 album By Any Means and an upcoming tour in the works, Gates will have eager ticket buyers shakin' it to his hot rap jams.
I felt like Gates had some more performing in him..I truly don’t think he gave enough us..& I think what truly upset everyone is the fact he just walked off like “ok now y’all can leave!” He’s a good performer but I expected more.
The show was great! Kevin really knows how to put on a show!
We waited an hour and a half for an hour show.. he didn’t sing a whole song . There was an hour gap in between opening acts and his show.
Awesome show and excellent performance! Well worth the money.
Unprofessional one of the main guys don't make it to the show but goes to an after party. No longer a fan and would like my money back.

I attended the Kevin Gates concert, and I recommend this venue, and site (Ticket Master) to purchase their tickets. Overall the experience was really good, it was organized, staff was professional, and the facility was well kept & clean.
Kevin Gates always give a good show. I love his, music, his energy and the love he has for his fans.
I have seen Kevin Gates at several types of venues, small and large, even out of state. I also go to concerts of various genres at least once a month whether in HTX or DAL, so I'm not new to the music scene BY ANY MEANS (see what I did there?). But for artists such as Kevin Gates, who clearly attract a rapidly growing following, to be booked at such a small venue is ABSURD. It was jam packed, unable to move better yet get closer to the stage or even find the restroom. Not that it matters but we are the type that spend a decent amount of money at shows, specifically at the bar and merch--we couldn't even find the merch or get to the bar for more than two drinks! Warped'18 was not even that bad. Not to mention, the crowd was awful. My husband was literally pushed and shoved several times by a young female because she could not see around him, then people would seek fights or yell obscenely if/when someone was trying to get through the crowd, even to go to the bar or to actually get out of people's way! That is a generation issue though, not the venue's problem. The venue was really nice overall, reminded me of House of Blues, it was just much too small for a popular artist as him. I loved his performance as always, I was just really disappointed in the venue size and crowd!

Besides the show starting late he did really well. And went over his performance time 2 make up the time we lost waiting. Wished meet and greet was a bit longer
Although Gates was amazing I wish they would’ve sectioned off the VIP from the rest of General Admission. Only because once he came on everyone in the back was pushing up on everyone that was VIP to get in front. I just thought it wasn’t fair to everyone that paid the extra for the VIP tickets.
He is a great entertainer and performer . The whole crowd felt him ! Unforgettable
This was my very first concert and the experience was horrible! They needed someone to control the floor space because there were so many people shoving and arguing over standing space. Also, it was ridiculously HOT! I literally had to leave because I felt as though I was going to faint. Be sure to have water with you!!! Overall, the performances by the opening acts were ehhhhh... but Gates had good stage presence. However, I definitely don’t plan on attending another concert like this one soon.
Opening performances were horrible. Kevin rocked the show, but he left the show midsong. The way he ended wasn't cool at all.
Kevin did that! It was a great show, he was very interactive, full of energy, and overall FUN. He connected with the crowd on a personal level and had us all laughing. Dude is really a clown lol. I will definitely attend another Kevin Gates concert with no hesitation.
