Best slack-key guitarist ever and of course Moana with her beautiful hula, wow. And that Halau in Virginia who opened the evenings performance was absolutely superb and entertaining. The hula dancers was like watching the merrie monarch, so precise and smooth flowing. The stories told by that voice of aloha came from the heart with true knowledge, truly a traditional and authentic Halau indeed especially in Virginia? I hope to see more of this authentic halau performing at venues and Keola and Moana Beamer in the near future @ Birchmere. Mahalo to everyone who put this together, whew, what a show to remember, smiles. This was one of the best performance I've seen thus far here in the east coast.

The opening act by the Halau Ho'omau was fabulous. Their performance echoed traditional Hawaiian chants and hula dance. Keola and Moana Beamer’s show was incredible and their rapport on stage gave a glimpse of their love for each other and for the islands of Hawaii. Truly entertaining show! Their finale of "Honolulu City Lights" was the rainbow syrup on the shaved ice.

His slack key guitar never fails to please, his humor and stories from home make everyone in the audience feel like they are part of his family. Moana's dancing is superb, her interpretations of myths and legends really draw you into her performance. You feel like you are on stage with her. Birchmere needs more Hawaiian entertainment.
