State fair has really went downhill . Prices are ridiculous! Gourmet prices for fair food and derby prices for beer .. I hate to try and feed a family of 4 out there with drinks and a beer or two . Seemed like a lot of vendors didn’t come back and was smaller as well .
We went twice, first with some friends that just kinda ran past the booths. Second time with the kids and was able to actually look at everything. Missed a lot of stuff first go. Wallet wasn’t happy second go, ended up buying a lot of cool stuff thought. It was definitely worth it.
I think every Kentuckian should go to the State Fair at least once in their life. So much to see and do. Love the exhibits from fruits and vegetables to crafts and quilts and everything in between. The county exhibits are educational. All in all a day well spent
Really super excited to go to the fair and see a free concert with our admission tickets plus you got free parking if you got your tickets on line. So, the day before, I ordered two tickets which was very easy to do. We were going to save at least $10.00 for parking because we did this. However, when we went to the fair, we found out it was Senior Day which was free admission for those over 55. We were both over 55. So instead of it costing only $10.00 for parking, it cost me $22.50 because I had no idea there were any promotions available. Lesson learned—always check out the fair schedule before going. But- the concert was great so it made it worth the money.
Outstanding organization of all event and traffic control much improved over previous years. The free oldies concert was second to none. Security was present throughout the festivities without giving the big brother image . I score the 2023 KY State Fair 100% pure satisfaction.
The Happy Together concert was amazing. It was incredible to have all these well known musicians from decades ago to be on the same stage performing. That was awesome--from the performers, stages, sounds, and organizers. Well Done! Also thank you for Texas Roadhouse and the sponsors. It was a free concert by the big names all included in the $10 general admission ticket!

Another Great State Fair Exhibts and Free Concerts
I always enjoy the fair. Enjoyed all the displays in the south and west wing . Enjoyed the livestock shows. Miss the outdoor events like the skateboarding, pig races, etc. Miss the ugly lamp contest and the fish aquariums. Wish all the pictures would be on display. Definitely need more shuttles .
This was the first time we had gone to the Kentucky State Fair. We have gone to Ohio numerous times, as well as Indiana. The only issue we had was the electronic ticketing. My phone kept going black while waiting for it to be scanned. From the time we entered the buildings, except to eat, we could spend most of the day inside. The day we were there, there was pumpkin and watermelon weigh-in, dairy cattle show, dairy goats, rabbits, and mules.. We could not find any horses, beef cattle, or hogs to see. The 4-H exhibits were hard to find- but now knowing how they were arranged if we come back we could find them easier. We spent the night before at hotel near-by. (not the best experience but I have communicated that with them). All in all it was a great day
Attended 8/20, no small farm animals. Disappointed. Commercial area seems a lot smaller. A couple vendors I expected to see and purchase from were not there. Probably will not go next year. My son & I have been going for the last 4 years.

For our family of 6 when you figure the price for a bracelet for the midway and then admission to the fair (per person) and then usually parking it is just too expensive. Every year it just goes up more. Won't be able to attend in the future.
Went the first weekend which was nice and not super hot out. Feel like the fair get less and less ever year. Use to be more shop vendors then have been the passed 2 years.
Everything was fantastic from the food to the exhibits! I only had one issue and that was the doors being locked at 6. I had to walk all the way around the building to get to my car and with a little one that was not idea! But overall it was a wonderful day with my family!
Enjoyed the rides, food, animals, and concert. For what we got though I felt like it was all a bit overpriced.
It was only $10 to watch Vince Neil & Autograph at the Kentucky State Fair. There was plenty of parking and it was easy to get in the facility
I attended the Farm Bureau Country Ham Breakfast everything was very well organized. I enjoyed walking around afterwards Especially the fact everything was in the same wing
I think this is a great collaboration with Ticketmaster and the State Fair. It's easy and one stop to get both tickets in one, for only $10. I hope this continues and the price doesn't increase.
We purchased pre-event tickets to the KY State Fair, but were unable to use them because the mobile tickets wouldn't pull up when we arrived. Also, as we were both in the same vehicle, in essence, we paid double for parking the same vehicle. It would be nice to be able to purchase entry tickets and parking separately. It would also be helpful to have the option of printing out the tickets instead of having to rely on internet availability at the entrance gate.
