It's my fourth time and he keeps amazing me. A genius you don't want to miss!
I was fortunate enough to have 2nd row/center seats for this show, and was treated to an epic performance. I've seen "The Trio" a few times over the years, and this was the best by far. Highlights include "Fever", "God Bless the Child" (first of three encores), and "Straight No Chaser (third and final encore). That last encore alone was worth the price of admission. The boys were all in good form and seemed to have a blast. Jarrett is someone everyone in the free world needs to see at least once in their lifetime.
I lost count of the amount of encores once the performance was over. The audience just couldn't get enough. Along with everyone else, I was personally moved by the emotion and depth of spirit displayed through music. I was also touched by the amount of affection these three masters of jazz have for each other. It was moving and inspirational.
Simply amazing! These guys have played so long together and are such consumed artists that they are in perfect symbiosis and delivered a performance that one doesn't have the opportunity to witness many times in a lifetime.
Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock and Jack Dejohnette are the ultimate working jazz trio today. I always look forward to this concert. The acoustics and atmosphere of NJPAC are perhaps only surpassed by Carnegie Hall. The Keith Jarrett trio is always the highlight of my concert year and NJPAC is a great venue for them. It was a terrific concert. I could have used a bit more piano from the sound man on this particular night but still an excellent performance.
It was an unforgettable evening. The trio was in its best condition I ever heard it! The audiance was excited already the concert started. It was an awsome atmosphere!
Having performed together for more than 30 years, The Keith Jarrett Trio surpassed all expectations with another outstanding performance. Jarrett played with the intense passion that one has come to expect from all of his performances. Gary Peacock's bass solos were precise and scintillating. Jack DeJohnette has been and still is one of the greatest jazz drummers ever, keeping meticulous time during complex, ever-changing tempos and unleashing always inventive but never overpowering drum passages. The trio's well-deserved legendary status lives on!
I think of elders as venerable, wise, and expert in navigation of life and decisions. Jarrett, Peacock, and DeJohnette (all sentagenarians) presented themselves and their music in this light. No silence or note or stroke is wasted. Economy. Untraceable and indelible. True Wisdom.
Amazing performance by these jazz legends. Hope they play again soon
The audiebce was great. Musicians enjoyed to play. The result ws a perfect concert.
