  • kc & the sunshine Band at the 2009 oc super fair

by tracilaci on 8/1/09The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 3 out of 5

for 58 yrs old, kc did pretty good. Although his voice is not the same, the songs were so good noone really cared. the venue is an awesome place to see a concert. Would I go and see him again? Probably not, but for $11.75 (which included fair entrance) it was a pretty good time!

  • KC was Energetic

by AndiD on 8/1/09The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was non stop energy and fun. I'm 60 years old and never sat down, danced the whole time, brought back lots of memories. We had great seats too for the price.

  • KC Rocked!

by oneiceberg on 8/1/09The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

This was the third time I've seen KCSB, and the show rocked! KC is always great, but the 70's vibe from the band, and the antics of the horn section were fantastic. My daughter is hooked, and we converted two more people into KC followers! KC stuck around after to sign autographs, and we're definitely coming back again!

  • Waited over 30 years to see KC!

by ToeJam on 7/30/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

I attend several concerts a year and especially love music from the 70's. KC and the Sunshine Band tours frequently, but for one reason for another, I haven't available to see him until now. The concert was great. Very memorable. He was emotional because it was in Mableton, Ga, across the street from where he use to sit at his aunt's piano as a little boy and dream he would be a star one day. The band still sounds great and the energy level was high throughout the entire crowd. The outdoor venue was wonderful too. We had never been there before. (Mableton House Ampitheatre in Georgia). Wish we would have known that we could bring food, wine, even TV trays. We went empty handed, but bought food there. We will know better next time. The website wasn't real clear about what we could and could not bring for this concert set up. Overall, it was a great night. Would definitely pay to see him again. I danced and sang along the whole night! One of the best concerts I have been to for dancing!

  • Good ol stuff...its a treat when kc comes to town.

by musikluvr on 7/27/09Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino - CoarsegoldRating: 5 out of 5

KC does not only make you get up off your seat to boogie, but he seems to be a real genuine kinda guy who cares about playing for us here in such a small city like fresno. Great show always when you see this guy!

  • Fabulous as Always!!

by Alcher on 7/25/09Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino - CoarsegoldRating: 5 out of 5

For his age, his music, his dance moves and his personality are as if he were 25 again. The entire audience, young or old, said he is the greatest concert ever.

  • Dream come true

by KarenB84 on 7/25/09Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino - CoarsegoldRating: 5 out of 5

My mom has been a huge fan of KC since her teen years. Although she is hearing impaired, she would turn the music up loud enough to feel it and read the lyrics. When I was little, she played her KC records for me and taught me to dance. When I found out KC was coming to town, I immediately bought tickets. It was an amazing show and I have never seen my mother so excited before. Thanks for making it such a memorable night.

  • Oh what a night!

by micheleb535 on 7/21/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show, great venue, great weather. I HIGHLY recommend seeing KC again and again. The amphitheater is really well done. Right down to the food, beverages and wonder wedges! The night was a grand slam!!

  • He still performs at top notch!

by ExtraPoint on 7/21/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

KC may joke about his round belly and old age, but he still lights up the stage and dances around with the best of them. He did a great job on vocals and his band was as sharp as ever (although not all the original Sunshine Band, of course). The dancers were a little on the 'strip club' side, but nevetheless the show was 100% entertaining and worth the ticket price plus. For any of us 70's music freaks, the show was perfect!

  • Full of energy

Venue was great. KC had all the energy you once rememberd. Sounded fantastic.

  • KC is still for real

by surveyoresq on 7/20/09Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 4 out of 5

Everything you would expect and some more from a true icon. All the hits and a few he had written for others spiced up the show. A people's performer that stayed and signed autographs for all who wanted. Thanks KC !!

show was very intertaining with a lot of dance and singing. the acts was well delivered.

  • KC was a big letdown

by Iman80sFan on 7/17/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 1 out of 5

I did enjoy listening to the few songs he sang all the way through. It seemed he spent half of the concert backstage. I was wondering if this was really a KC concert or if he was just the MC to introduce all the newcomers in his band to the concert scene. I thought the performance was weak, and as someone who loves his music, and was greatly looking forward to it, I was hugely disappointed.

  • still can shake, shake, shake

    by heath270 on 7/17/09Horseshoe Casino - TunicaRating: 4 out of 5

K.C. admitted what was obvious. He had put on alot of weight because he had quit smoking. Whatever. Let me tell you he still got it. I would go see him again in a heartbeat.

  • KC & the Sunshine Band

by naenaebeth on 7/17/09Horseshoe Casino - TunicaRating: 5 out of 5

The show was spetacular and a way to relive our youth. He also tried to bring himself into todays day and age with some humor. I would see them again and again. A story I have to tell is in 76 I was to see them got sick and has taken this long to see what I really missed then . Thanks for new memories naenaebeth

  • Loved it

by RFRIED on 7/16/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

The show was excellent. He played all his greatest hits and had everyone in the house singing along. The entire audience was dancing and shaking their booties.

  • KC can still pour on the "Sunshine"

    by musicmaven68 on 7/16/09Emerald Queen Casino - TacomaRating: 4 out of 5

A trip down memeory lane. Put on your platforms and get ready to Shake Shake Shake Your Booty. The crowd was entranced by the singing and dancing.

  • KC lacked energy

by Cola on 7/16/09Horseshoe Casino - TunicaRating: 3 out of 5

Though it was nice to hear the music the overall sound lacked energy. KC appeared too rigid as he moved around stage as if he were counting his steps. He should let the younger dancers perform the sexual moves and focus on the singing.

  • KC Rocks!!!

by DixieSugar on 7/15/09Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre - MabletonRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen many concerts over the years, but KC & the Sunshine Band put on one of the best I've ever seen! They entertained, played all their hits and even covered John Mayer, which I loved! KC still rocks the house and hasn't lost his energy or the ability to bring a crowd to their feet.
