    Great Show

by Red Wings Fan on 12/8/23Attucks Theatre - Norfolk

The venue was great. Gene Nelson's opening was hilarious and it was fun seeing the personality from Gutfled! live on stage. He was very personable after the show also. Likewise it was great to see Kat Timpf. What you see of her on Fox is what you get in public. Love her take on life and so happy to see her and Gene succeeding in their crafts.

Great show. Great venue. Not much parking

    by SpokaneDan on 8/30/23

I really enjoyed the Kat Timpf show last weekend. She and Gene were very funny! She has a good story to tell. This was the first time I had been to the venue. It was very good. Comfortable seats, good vision, good acoustics, friendly ushers. The only issue, and a minor one at that, was parking. I don't know how many spaces are in their lot, but it was full, the street was full, and their overflow lot was full. However, they did allow us to park in the business across the street from the theater. No traffic problems in or out. All in all a good evening.

    Not What We Expected

    by John on 8/30/23

Sadly, my wife and I were taken aback by the excessive vulgar speech used throughout the "performance"by Kat Timpf. Such an unnecessary use of offensive language. My wife and I attended Dana Perino's book tour event in San Antonio a couple of years ago. It was a very thoughtful and enjoyable adult outing. This is what we expected when we went to see Kat Timpf. Her event was not what we expected. Had we not been sitting in the third row center, we would have walked out of the theater. Too bad. Kat is such an intelligent person. She doesn't need to stoop to profanity to convey her message.

I was expecting a stand up routine. It was mostly a book tour. A few good laughs. Overall, I would have skipped it.

I felt like the concert was a book tour. It was all about her book. I thought it would be more stand up. I liked Gene.

I thought she did an awesome job. She was very personable and took time answering everyone’s questions and signing autographs.

She’s funny and has a way of finding humor in life’s pains. I would recommend anyone with a sense of humor going to see her show

    Mildly entertaining

    by Mark on 8/15/23

“Mildly entertaining” may be a stretch. Kat is a bit self-absorbed. Perhaps she was mirroring what her book is about, but it was just too much information about her and how special she is and how interesting she is. There was very little of substance, and nothing at all thought-provoking. She did make a point of making sure we understand that she can say the F word whenever she wants. And used it numerous times kind of out of place…. like a kid who just learned a new word and wants to use it frequently, even when it may not actually be a good time to use it. I was hoping that Kat might be a leader/ example for young people with regard to her libertarian viewpoints, but very little of that came out. Also, there weren’t many (if any) young adults in the audience. Disappointing.

    Kat Timpf Shines In Person!

    by Bill Kalles on 8/15/23

Kat Timpf is funny on TV and on the written page, but she is funnier in person. During the Meet & Greet, she is friendly and personable. I had a laryngectomy, so my speech is not always easily understandable, but Kat was patient with me. I will cherish both the autograph she wrote in her book and the photo of her next to me. Like Kat, I use humor to deal with trauma, and she makes the argument (citing scientific studies) doing so is healthy. I now realize that humor is why I survived 2 bouts of throat and neck cancers, one being Stage IV. She may not be a believer, but still I say, “God bless Kat!”

    Kat was awesome!

by Mike and Mara on 8/15/23

It was surreal to see Kat Timpf in person and she was great as expected! Also Gene Nelson was great and funny and didn't even know he was with her so that was an awesome surprise! The venue was great! Thanks!
