About

They've toured their highly acclaimed ‘Sound Awake' album all around the world, and now Karnivool's eager Australian fans need wait no more as the Perth sonic maelstrom announce an extensive Australian tour taking place throughout June and into July.

The band will travel to capital cities on the East Coast, into regional North Queensland (finally!) and finish in Adelaide whilst stopping at some key regional centres along the way. Tickets go on sale Monday April 18th.
It's Karnivool's first full Australian tour since the New Day tour in June and July 2010, but they've hardly sat on their hands since then... as soon as the last slab of fat bottom end rang out from that run, the band got on a plane and headed to Europe to play on the main stage at Sonisphere Festival in the UK (along with Slayer, Alice in Chains, Pendulum and Iron Maiden) before spending 5 weeks headlining throughout the US and Canada. Not content with this they again crossed continents headlining and selling out major venues throughout mainland Europe and the UK, proving that not even Europe's coldest winter in a decade could keep the band off the road. Having your merch snowed in and selling out iconic venues like the Melkweg in Amsterdam and Scala in London was a new experience for Karnivool, but added to the fun!

In news sure to be welcomed by their forever patient fan base, Karnivool have been writing solidly in the rehearsal room since their last Australian tour and in great news for fans the band will be sharing some new tracks with audiences on this tour. It will be the first airing of new material since ‘Sound Awake', an album which helped establish the band's worldwide reputation, who knows what direction this new batch of songs will take!

Karnivool tours are known to sell out in record time, so get in quick as this will be the first and only Australian tour from the band in 2011!

    I feel new

by DJKnoWhere on 8/28/10Bowery Ballroom - NEW YORK

Few times in my life can I say I've had life-changing experiences. Karnivool live at Bowery was definitely one of them. Every lyric, every chord, every drum fill, every bit of energy from that stage spoke to me. It was absolutely perfect.

A must see for Karnivool fans!

    by KarnivoolAtlanta88 on 8/23/10Masquerade - Atlanta

I'll start with the only negative part of the night, Karnivool's opening act (Tides of Men?) were absolutely terrible. However, seeing Karnivool was well worth the wait/torture. The ticket prices were cheap. I would have gladly paid more to see them. The crowd was small (150-200 people), however, everyone was singing along, and the floor was literally moving to people bouncing to the bass. Great time. I will definitely go see them again. Also, for the venue: That's the first time I've been to the Masquerade, and I have to say, I thought it was a great place for a show. Karnivool played upstairs in a large room. The building is made of stone on the inside, which has a great look. I was impressed for a smaller venue. The drinks were a bit pricey. $4.50 for a bottle of beer. $3.00 Draft. $1.50 very small cup of coke. $4.00 for a small Redbull. Those are the only prices I know. Summary: GO SEE KARNIVOOL

    Karnivool, a MUST see!

by aleeshanee on 8/23/10Firestone Live - Orlando

To see a band like Karnivool in such an intimate setting was a treat! The band did not disappoint and exceeded my expectations. They performed their complex set flawlessly. Even as I sit here two days later listening to their music, I close my eyes and I'm right back in the musical grip of their live performance. Bravo, fellas, Bravo. Needless to say...I cannot wait for them to return!

Words can't express, but I'll try!

by CrystalWaters on 8/22/10State Theatre - St Petersburg

I would up tso close to the bands I could taste their sweat. Touching the stage. The performers were out of this world. Tides of Man DESTROYED IT. They went BEYOND meeting my expectations. Karnivool? OBSCENELY GOOD. I was COMPLETELY engaged throughout the entire performance. The best part? MEETING BOTH BANDS AND SHARING CASUAL CONVERSATION WITH THEM FOR OVER 20 MIN. Great people.
