KAISER CHIEFS IN CONCERT:

British rock outfit Kaiser Chiefs have been burning bright ever since rising to fame as part of the UK's post-punk revival scene in the early '00s. The Chiefs' sounded as fresh as ever on their 2014 album Education, Education, Education & War, a stellar slice of new wave grandeur that made for a perfect addition to their electrifying live sets. Whether they're treating fans to early favorites like "I Predict a Riot" or playing newer cuts like "Coming Home", the Kaiser Chiefs'  knack for big hooks and even bigger choruses never fails to satisfy on their unforgettable tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Kaiser Chiefs got their start in Leeds in 2000, releasing one album under the name Parva before reemerging in 2003 as the Kaiser Chiefs. They made their album debut under the new moniker in 2005 with Employment, a massive critical and commercial success that peaked at No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and launched them to international fame with hit singles like "Oh My God" and "I Predict a Riot". The band's 2007 sophomore album Yours Truly, Angry Mob was an even bigger success, landing at No. 1 in the UKI and spawning the international chart-topper "Ruby". The band has remained a dominant force over the years, taking home three Brit Awards and becoming staples at some of the world's biggest festivals like Glastonbury. Kaiser Chiefs once again topped the UK Albums Chart in 2014 with Education, Education, Education & War, hitting the road shortly after for another electrifying tour in support of the album.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"...the KC put on a blistering 90 min show. Ricky Wilson was in fine form, whipping the crowd into a frenzy as he leapt about the stage and made his customary charge to the bar for a few shots."

"Kaiser Chiefs never fail to put on the best, crowd-involved shows I've seen. The smaller venues are nice, but they don't disappoint at the bigger places either."

"Ricky Wilson is an unbelievable performer; have no idea where he gets all the energy! They did a nice mix of their best old and new songs; good connection with the audience"

Kaiserchiefs started at 9pm and played until 10:20pm. I found this a little short (with only one encore), but they did play all their (even older) hits in between the new songs. Concert itself was great, good vibe, but could have been longer!

Bloody brilliant, despite small audience; ended too early.

  • Kaiser Chiefs Killed it

by wazzubruso on 3/26/12Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Great show, as expected. The lead singer ran through the crowd and jumped up on the bar and sang. Awesome.

  • Best show I've seen this year!

Kaiser Chiefs put on such a great show at the Showbox Market. Excellent energy, great sound, great set. I loved it!

  • Incredible.

This was honestly one of the best concerts I've been to. Not only was Kaiser Chiefs amazing, Walk the Moon and Transfer were equally good. I absolutely adored the whole concert and would love to see any of the bands live again.

  • Kaiser Chiefs @ Showbox

by PlaidPenguin on 3/25/12Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

The Kaiser Chiefs rocked at the showbox! The two bands before them were pretty good too, but not nearly as amazing as the Kaiser Chiefs. There was so much energy in the room and it seemed as if everyone was having a great time. I'd definitely see them again!

So much great energy. Drunken rock stars that can hold their liqueur made the show awesome.

  • Great energetic show!

The show was excellent, especially the singer of the Kaiser Chiefs amazes! And of course: the music is brilliant!

  • Kaiser Chiefs Rock!!

This was a great and energetic show! The Kaiser Chiefs know how to entertain.

  • Kaiser Chiefs a tight outfit

by Flipdog on 3/25/12Showbox at the Market - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

So on Friday we headed over to the Showbox at the Market for Kaiser Chiefs. I love this venue. The layout is spacious with the elevated bar areas in the corners. The venue is small enough that you can see everything on the stage from the back corners. The bouncers are not very friendly but I guess that's part of their job, to appear threatening all the time. Beer's are smaller than a pint at the same price as a big one. Not cool. Volume is loud for the smallish venue but once you lose part of your hearing it's fine and you feel the kick drum like a heart beat. The band: I wasn't a big fan of Kaiser Chiefs before but it's not everyday that you get to see a international act from up close. And boy did they impress. They are very tight and not overly flashy. The front man keeps the show together and manhandles the crowd to do his every whim. I don't like it if they keep asking for more noise and more applause etc but the crowd responded with energy. I would recommend the Kaiser Chiefs just for the sheer musical entertainment that is British rock.

  • Great Show!

by curtthiel on 3/25/12Showbox Market - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Transfer, the first opening act was original and hard rocking. Walking on the Moon was an up an coming boy band which I didn't really enjoy -but my 16 yo daughter did! The Kaiser Chiefs put on a great show with lots of energy, pace and audience participation. The band is tight and their lead singer knows how to work the crowd. Great gig,

Excellent event and a really good venu. Just the right size for live music.

  • Fun show

    by GimpyMcGimperson on 3/12/12Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The opening act by Walk the Moon was the best part of the show for me. The Kaiser Chiefs did rock pretty hard though, so that was fun too. The only bad part of the concert was the people. They were rude and obnoxious.

  • Kaiser Chiefs at Terminal 5

    by jdub1283 on 3/12/12Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

I wasn't a huge fan of Kaiser Chiefs recorded stuff - I actually went to the show to see one of the opening bands. However, their live show was super entertaining. I'd definitely pay to see them live again. Terminal 5 is also a great venue - they have several bars and a rooftop area where you can chill in between bands. Sound was really good.

was the most amazing concert ive ever gone to!!!!!

  • Amazing. Everything you expect, and more.

by Popsadaisy on 3/11/12Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Ricky Wilson made this show. He climbs everything in sight and is probably one of the best frontmen around these days. Totally worth it, would even pay four times as much to see them again.

  • Kaiser Chiefs and Terminal 5

Highly recommend the Kaiser Chiefs but do not recommend ever going to Terminal 5.

The show was amazing. The band had a great stage feeling. The vocalist was great. He gave us a great show. The run around the stage was a memorable thing. Not even to mention the setlist. Completely perfect!!! All his great songs in fantastic order and in great spirits.
