Seeing ice cube has been on my bucket list for years...I never thought I’d ever get the chance to cross it off. Then I found out that he was performing at K-Days and I KNEW I had to make it happen!!! I was sooooo impressed that K-Days was bringing Ice Cube to perform. Literallt above and beyond in my eyes. The concert was incredible. The only the I wish is that there were more premium party tickets available, but overall, I can’t complain. Approx $20 to see Ice Cube (and any other artists performing), including admission to K-Days = happy camper. I have paid more to see people I didn’t even care about. AMAZING deal. As long as you get there a little early, guaranteed to have a great spot in the crowd in my opinion. Screens being up higher in the future for people further in the back may be a huge benefit. I had a decent spot in the crowd but was sometimes a little hard to see depending on where Ice Cube was on the stage, and I personally found it a little challenging to see the screen sometimes as well because of peoples heads blocking it (but was still amazing, don’t get me wrong!). The only other thing that I wasn’t amazed with was the price of food at K-days. I know it’s like that at any carnival, but still something that I don’t think is right. I paid $7 for a thin, SMALL piece of pizza. If you go to a pizza shop outside of K-days you can get a huge slice of pizza with a can of pop for about $5. Huge rip off. People love carnival food, but this makes it extremely hard for people do afford it sometimes, especially if you add the cost of rides on to it as well.
Overall, amazing concert. Life changing experience. Always a few things that can be improved. But all in all, thank you K-days for bringing Ice Cube to Edmonton!!!
