As always, Joey and the band brought their “A Game” to the stage. The music was great and energetic, the crowd was dancing along with songs, and I think a lot of people were shocked when Joey jumped off the stage and ran around the whole audience during one of their songs high fiving and singing along with crowd. I would highly recommend their show to any Stones fan, or to anyone who loves British Invasion music.
Great musicians -- many of them looked like members of the original bands. Did not understand the 10 minute intermission when the bands first transitioned from Beatles to Stones being on stage.
Stones win! Great concert! Both bands were terrific but the Stones came out on TOP! The music, the energy and the band are a must see!
Great venue Good acostics Super tribute bands, Mick and John vocals so dead on
Jumping Jack Flash was almost like attending a real Rolling Stones concert! All the moves and voice like Mick Jagger!
Everybody enjoyed themselves Hihgh energy cover band
The show ended up abruptly, and I guess they went over the time allowed. The show was really good
This was an excellent show. We enjoyed them ! Song choices were great, we had permanent smiles throughout. Great night if classic Rolling Stones tunes!
This has to be one of the best shows that JJF has ever done, and what an awesome venue and audience. The place was going nuts most of the night, and with good reason--what a fun night!
True to life like watching the Rolling Stones back then. That's often the problem with even watching "whats left" of original acts -- these folks are nearly dead (if not dead), and you won't see a show like back in the day. With "tribute bands" you do!...
According to tickets, 6:30 was start time. We didn't find out until 2 hours later, that the band wouldn't start until 9pm. We also had to endure an opening karaoke guitar type one-woman band for an hour, who did not play/sing our particular style of music. The Cave should be more forthcoming about the start times of their performers. I guess you have to be a local to know how things run there. Since we drove over 2 hours, we were a little upset and could have had a nice dinner first.
Had a blast with my husband @ concert. It was an unforgettable experience!
We weren't sure what to expect from this show with the cabaret style seating. With roughly 100 people on the stage and the band within reach, it was a very different vibe. It was like being in a bar listening to a band, but minus the annoying drunk people and long line for the bathroom. We completely enjoyed the show, the band was fun and sounded great. We would see them again and enjoy another show like this at the Civic anytime.
I saw them at the OC Fair. Loving the Rolling Stones, I was wondering if they would be anything close to the real thing. I have to say they are really good! I think I was surprised but pleasantly so! Lots of folks were dancing and singing along! We ended up standing in back to dance which was fine with me!
Good show with nice sound and great arrangements. The set list covered from 1964 to 1978. Nice mix.
We caught Jumping Jack Flash at the OC Fair Hanger July 28. We brought two of our closest Stones fan friends. We told them we had seen them before and the band was great. The driving force of the band are the two guitar players. One guy is a ringer for Keith and plays rhythm guitar but has the Keith solos down cold for Sympathy for the Devil, Honky Tonk Women and Gimme Shelter. The other guitarist does Brian and Woody. He really powers the band - he plays perfect riffs and leads from all the Stones classics. His best were on this night the Mick Taylor solo from Sympathy for the Devil, Jumping Jack Flash and Satisfaction. The guitar sound was great but there were two problems-song selection and the new Mick! The new Mick looks much like Jagger and after a somewhat stiff opening on Not Fade Away, did get the moves like Jagger- However he sounded very little like him - too raspy, too low in pitch and was off on his phrasing. Our friends who have seen the Stones many times were disappointed after the build up we gave from seeing this band before. The biggest let down was song selection and the guest artists who joined the band and ruined a couple songs. When you see this band you expect accurate recreations of the best songs. They hit most of the key songs, but problems developed. One guest was Bowie who joined in on Let's Spend the Night Together, from Aladdin Sane, which was pretty clever and they actually blended the two versions nicely. The singer as Bowie was spot on and dressed in Ziggy era bright red shag hair and platform boots. The other guest artist was a singer as Tina Turner- it was a nice thought but she joined the band on Brown Sugar and Honky Tonk Women - two songs that are two classics and deserve tight performances - instead the songs were bothched with confusion on lyrics and a loss of focus. The lack of energy was the result of poor song choices when they should have built to a strong finish. This band has it in them to do great versions of classics like Monkey Man and Bitch, but did not give it to us this night. The audience was sitting for most of the show as a result of including over played songs like Miss You, the opening Not Fade Away was a boring start and You Can't Always Get What You Want as an encore was a joke! Wein the audience were all looking at each other, shaking our heads saying -you have got to be kidding! They should have closed with It's Only Rock and Roll if not their usual closer their excellent version of Jumping Jack Flash. I will check the band out again to see if they can pull out the old magic. Maybe they are finding their way with a new singer. Maybe they will go into the woodshed and be back to impress us again. Let's hope.
Their voices were very good and the music was excellent
I loved this event! The band was amazing and Mick definitely had "moves like Jagger!". The hanger is a great venue. I will definitely check out Jumping Jack Flash again. They totally rocked!
Love the concert very good artist and great imitation of the Stones.
