As a founding member of Three 6 Mafia and an integral player in the birth of crunk, Memphis rapper Juicy J has a hip hop pedigree that few other rap artists can touch. After signing to longtime collaborator Wiz Khalifa’s label in 2011, Juicy J released his third solo album Stay Trippy in 2013 to positive reviews and a No. 4 spot on the Billboard 200. The album, a veritable who’s who of hip hop, features collaborations with some of the genre’s biggest names, including Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz on “Bandz a Make Her Dance” and Big Sean and Young Jeezy on “Show Out.” In 2006, Juicy J and Three 6 Mafia became the first hip hop group to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song, taking home the Oscar for “It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp,” their contribution to the 2005 film Hustle and Flow. For fans with tickets to his tour, Juicy J puts on a live concert with plenty of raw energy and a generous serving of his signature swagger.
