Judas Priest on Tour

British heavy metal powerhouse Judas Priest has released 22 albums over four decades. They laid much of the groundwork for the heavy music of the 80s with their two guitar attack of revved up blues-based riffs They continue to tour, treating metal fans to extravagant live shows and spirited renditions of their unmistakable anthems. Ticket holders are sure to get to a concert early because they don't want to miss Singer Rob Halford's stage entrance. He emerges from a cloud of fog riding on a Harley Davidson, clad head to toe in leather-studded S&M gear. The band released a live DVD of their Epitaph World Tour in May 2013, which well received and features 23 tracks covering most eras of the bands storied career.

Judas Priest in Concert

The group formed in 1969 in Birmingham, England and released their first album in 1974 entitled Rocka Rolla. This was soon to be followed by Sad Wings of Destiny in 1976, which gained the group a wider audience in the UK. The group's next three albums: Sin After Sin, Stained Class and Hell Bent for Leather were released in 1977, 1978 and 1979 respectively, and showed a band evolving its sound into shorter songs that still retained a heavy metal punch. Next came the album British Steel in 1980, which featured "Living After Midnight", "Breaking the Law" and "United" — all earning regular radio play. Point of Entry was released in 1981, followed by Screaming For Vengeance in 1984, which went double platinum. The 2008 concept album Nostradamus found them pushing boundaries by challenging their listeners to consider how "metal" the man of prophetic talents actually was. Over the next four years the band toured relentlessly and they show no signs of letting up, with an impressive schedule of tour dates on the books for 2014.

Judas Priest was on the moon

by karsx1 on 7/23/09Nashville Municipal Auditorium - Nashville

Judas Priest never missed a step, they rocked the house like they always have. From beginning to the end of the show was great, the only bad thing was when the lights came on and the show was over.

    Absolutely incredible

    by Rockerchic223 on 7/23/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

Pop Evil was great. Whitesnake was wonderful and Coverdale looks great and sounds even better. Judas Priest was an incredible stage show and Rob still knows how to Rock like no other. Best concert I have been to in a long time, worth every penny the ticket cost.

    Judas Priest was tight!

by thewoodman on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

They started off by playing all of "British Steel" very good stuff. After that they mixed it up and it was all good.K.K. Downing tore it up. The Venue was a perfect match for the show.

    by Sammyfan1367 on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

Pop Evil and JP, both bands fantastic: sound/volume/energetic show. Reb Beach (guitar)Whitesnake, simply ONE of the BEST guitar players in the world. Sorry goes to David Coverdale...vocals=terrible...sore throat? I don't know maybe time to retire?

    Priest

    by ck5150 on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

I've waited 25 years to see Priest. I was kind of disappointed. The showmanship was spectacular, but the setlist was weak. I could have easily picked 20 songs they could have played.

    by tinkerbell70 on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

All groups were really good. Pop Evil was a great opener. Whitesnake is my personal favorite but I enjoyed them all. I thought they put on a really good show.

    Pop Evil stole the show

by MetalFan on 7/22/09DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston

The opening band, Pop Evil was amazing. The singer came into the crowd, and their whole set was awesome. Whitesnake was not what I hoped for. Their set wasn't very good and the show they put on overall wasn't good. Priest was good but I think they would have been better if they were the only headlining act.

Judas Priest / Whitesnake / PopEvil

    by Jbeasley53 on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

I have been waiting to see Judas Priest since the 80's and for some reason it never worked out. When they split I told myself I would go see them if and when they got back together. Well here they are back together and I had tickets the day they went on sale! It was an amazing show playing all of the British Steel, hearing all the old music I grew up on. Their stage presents was amazing it was like they hadn't missed a beat. Rob Halford's voice was as incredible as any album they have ever produced and the boys in the band did not disappoint either. The music was loud and you felt it in your chest pounding the beat of years of Priest Metal! I hope to go see them again! One of the Best Concerts I have ever seen!

    Judas Priest was awesome

by Carle on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

Judas Priest were awesome in concert. They still rock after all these years. These younger bands have nothing on them. They show everyone how the big boys do it.

    Priest rocked

by Horndog on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

The show was an excellent venue. The three bands put on a great show. Popevil is a great up and coming band whom I hope to see more shows. The only downside to the first two acts seemed to be the mixing of sound to me. I thought the bass line was a little to overbearing. Judas Priest was excellent. The only flaw with them was that they only played an hour and a half. That is the shortest main headlining band play time I have ever been to see. I was informed that it is due to a local township law that makes the shows stop at 11 pm. To me that is completely insane. Overall, though as I said before, Judas Priest, Whitesnake and Popevil was a fantastic show.

    awesome show bad seats

by metalmcdougal on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

the show was amazing. my seats were, however, like many others, positioned in front of the bass amps. They should be placed elsewhere rather than being 5 feet from you seat. Dont get me wrong........i dont mind noise....i wouldnt go to a priest show if i did. but i do expect to hear the show clearly when i pay the amount of money that i did.

    Judas Priest/Whitesnake

by piecesgirl on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

One of the best shows I have seen in Cincinnati in quite awhile. I rank this concert in the top with Nickleback and Red Hot Chili Pepppers. We met several members of Pop Evill. They are all very nice and down to earth.

    Judas Priest still rocks!

    by concertfan74 on 7/22/09PNC PAVILION - Cincinnati

The show was awesome. The boys can still rock it and they all look really good. It is kind of like seeing old friends that you have not seen in a long time. British Steele is not my favorite album but I did't care. I love this band and would go see them play bluegrass music. This was my first show at PNC Pavillion, and it is also a great venue.
