Juanes on Tour
When he takes the stage, global megastar Juanes blends the traditional music of his native Colombia with the international language of catchy, guitar-driven pop-rock, contemporary dance beats, and the compelling power of his silky and vibrant tenor voice.
On his 2019 tour, Juanes introduces a new stage set and light show. It follows his 2018 Amarte tour, whose outer-space theme reflected the science-fiction vibe of Mis Planes Son Amarte (My Plans Are to Love You), an ambitious video concept album about love both extraterrestrial and everyday. Juanes launched into the musical stratosphere in 2000 with the release of his solo debut, Fijate Bien (Take a Good Look), which won three Latin Grammy Awards. He's subsequently sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.
Juanes Background
Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez, known professionally as Juanes, was raised in Medellín, Colombia, during drug kingpin Pablo Escobar's violent heyday. After several albums with the rock band Ekhymosis, Juanes went solo with Fijate Bien, which included tracks influenced by Colombian coastal music, hip-hop, and emotional Hispanic balladry.
In 2002, Un Día Normal (A Normal Day) featured "A Dios le Pido" (I Pray to God), a hymn for peace throughout Latin America. Juanes has won 20 Latin Grammy Awards as well as Grammy Awards for Juanes MTV Unplugged (2013) and Loco de Amor (Love Crazy, 2015). While his latest music often touches on disco, reggaeton, and other forms of dance music, it still relies on cumbia, salsa, and vallenato — among other sounds Juanes heard growing up — for its core emotional resonance.
Juanes adds a strong streak of humanitarianism to his music. In 2006, he established the Mi Sangre foundation to assist Colombian landmine victims. In 2008 and 2009, he headlined Peace Without Borders concerts calling for cultural exchange across Latin America. "The world is crazy, if you look at who is running the world now," Juanes told The New York Times in 2018. "It's a very tough moment. But I really want to concentrate on the positive side. To me, music is a cure of my soul."
Juanes was amazing, the venue - Majestic Theater was great, floor seats were perfect. His performance was flawless, he sounds so good live and his band is great! I can't wait to see Juanes again :-)

The music and concert itself were great! Wow! He sounds amazing in person! The concert started at 8 p.m., and by 8:40, the bar was closed—I couldn't even get a drink. The merch was disappointing because they only had ONE T-shirt for sale and very limited sizes. I was very disappointed because I would have loved a vinyl, a sticker, a tote, or something other than a T-shirt that didn't even have the tour dates on it.
This was one of the best show ever! I loved how he entertained the crowd, he went down from stage and sung in the middle of the crowd!!! Wow! The sound was amazing! Will definitely go to another one his show! Best money spent!
Juanes was great. He put on a great show with plenty of audience participation, the sound was excellent, drinks were readily available at any one of the bars in the venue. Getting in and out were easy. 713 music hall is a good venue, and Juanes is an excellent performer.
it was really amazing seeing Juanes perform it was one if the greatest concerts I have ever been too. seeing juanes was one of my wishes come true. I love all his music and he is one the greatest human kind with a big heart. thank you Juanes for being the person that you are and God bless you!
Juanes concert was Excellent! His show was amazing, the sound was the best. I enjoyed everything there. The staff was really nice and eager to help. Everything was organized. On time.
Juanes is amazing! Loved every minute. The location was such a great venue for Juanes.
There really isn't a bad seat at this venue, but since we were celebrating my mother's 60th birthday and she's a big fan, we got floor seats. I don't regret it for a second. Juanes was engaging from start to finish. We were all dancing and singing along to many of his hits on our feet. He interacted with the crowd so we'll and even came down and sang a song with the crowd. Needless to say it was an experience my mother won't soon forget.
Juanes performance was amazing,!!! Next time you come to NC please come to a bigger venue.
Great show. Sold out Juanes demonstrated his playing skill as did the other band members played a mix of new and favorites
The concert was great. He started within 10 minutes of announced time and performed for almost 2 hours. The lines to get into the venue ran smoothly and considering it was a sold out event, the venue didn’t feel overly crowded.
It’s was a magical event. Juanes brought his wonderful music to NC and gathered Colombian fans and fans from across Latin America and others living in the surrounding areas. The venue allowed for an intimate experience. Juanes invited members from the audience to play on stage with him and was very welcoming to all his fans. He played selections from across his broad catalog and did a great cover of the song “Querida” by Juan Gabriel. Thank you Juanes for coming to visit us. I sincerely hope you come back in the future. Your fans in Charlotte, NC and neighboring areas look forward to hearing your music live again.
Juanes put a great concert! Even though the venue was a little small, it was filled with energy and of course great music!
This was one of the best live shows I have seen in a while the guitars and the interaction with the crowd was amazing the venue smelled but the music was amazing!!
The concert was amazing; Juanes always gave his best to make all his fans feel comfortable. Maybe the space was not enough for all the people that came to the concert.

I'm a huge fan of Juanes. I’ve been to some of his concerts before but this one was amazing. I did not sit down during the entire concert. His performance was incredible as always.
