Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. at The Fillmore

by Fiend4Music on 4/19/14The Fillmore - San Francisco

I had seen Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. a couple of times when they opened for other bands I went to see. Just like with Walk Off The Earth I wanted to see what they would do as a headliner with a longer set. There was a giant ‘ball’ center stage. At first it was just white and I was wondering what purpose it might have. After a few songs I found out. They used this ball to project different images including what looked like a Lego character walking and singing. Some of the projections made it appear that the ball was spinning. I’m not sure if the ball was in fact spinning or if it was just the projections. Joshua Epstein told a story about how even though he was from Michigan his mom had bought him a Golden State Warriors jersey 15 years ago. She had bought it big saying that he would grow into it. He was wearing it at the show and said something like, “As you can tell I’m still waiting to grow into it.” Daniel Zott had his crazy ponytail, which moved all around when he “keeps[s] on moving on...keep[s] on, on the dance floor”. Overall they had a good set, but the opener was such a downer I just couldn’t get into this show. I’m still a fan, but next time I’ll pay closer attention to who the headliner is before I decide what time to arrive. Chad Valley opened the show. While this is Hugo Manuel’s solo project, he did have a woman singing on a few songs. I did not catch her name. It was basically two people on synthesizers with very soft singing voices playing mellow music. I was not a fan.

    Jr Jr!

by WhipNYC on 4/10/14Webster Hall - New York

Show started slow, but picked up three or four songs in, when 'Run' got the crowd dancing and into it for the rest of the show. The Orb/projection screen was used extremely well and the animation really added to the show, particularly for 'Run' and 'Mesopotamia'. The new album, The Speed of Things, is filled with songs that sound better live than on the record. Overall, really fun show from a great band.

Dale Earndhardt Jr Jr was so energetic and fun, and their visuals were great. The light up letters and bubbles made it so much more lively. I will definitely see them again! I also loved the venue, plenty of standing room and places to set down your drink.

Dale Earnhardt JR JR did ROCK!

by AndieDaughter on 3/23/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

This was our first time seeing the group in person after listening endlessly to their music. It was great to see Dale Earnhardt JR JR perform their hits, seeing the faces and onstage action behind the voices. We truly hope that they return to the Boston area, again, with another great performance.

I was familiar with their music beforehand and they put on a very good show! Great stage presence and very interactive with the audience. They got pretty into it at times and went further than their album lite pop-rock . Did covers of "god only knows where i'd be without you" and "ooh la la" (THe Faces) and also used bubble machine.

Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr still rocks my socks!!

by ScooterV on 3/16/14Deluxe at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

The concert was UH-MAZE-ING! I went with a group of about 10 friends and we all knew a decent amount of songs. Even if you did not know the songs, the music is funky and catchy enough to get you movin'. Our group was in the middle and we raged the whole concert. The band was awesome, wore funky outfits, and had a ball in the background that projected sweet images. The band left and then came out for an encore and played 3 more songs. The "hit" songs were spread out throughout the show and every song choice was a hit. I have seen Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Linkin Park, ICP (unfortunately), 311, 3 Days Grace, Yellowcard, and Local Natives in concert and, by far, Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr was my favorite concert. FAVORITE MOMENT- When the band left the stage I started a "5 more songs" chant. They came out for the encore and said "well you better dance to this then" and played "If you didn't see me (you were not on the dance floor)". AWESOME!

    Soooo good

by Nyllekz on 3/10/14Deluxe at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

I never had heard of the band before but my friend had free tickets that she was giving away. I went to the wrong concert at first upstairs in the Egyptian Room. Once I figured out I was in the wrong place and found the band I had come to see, I was blown away. So much energy and awesome music. I'm a big Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr fan now. Wish I knew why they named themselves that!

I'm a bit of a festy person so needless to say I have been to A LOT of shows. But, I can honestly say that this was one of the best that I have been too in a long time. Good music that will have you jumping around dancing in minutes. Add this to the fact that they are simply good musicians and your have a great show. Bought a tshirt at the show for the first time in a long time :)

    Great Energetic Band

by PhilSc on 2/18/1420th Century Theater - Cincinnati

I first saw Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr a couple of years ago at the Bonnaroo music festival in Tennessee and instantly took a liking to these guys. They really go all out for their shows. I'll admit that their style isn't usually to my liking and I like their albums, but they just don't do the live show justice. Live, they really get the crowd going and everyone in the whole place is dancing & grooving. The tickets are really cheap & their opener ,DJ Chad Valley, was great. Go see 'em
