Country bass crooner Josh Turner has one of the most recognizable – and deepest – voices in country music. With his fifth album, 2012’s Punching Bag, Turner added yet another entry to a string of chart-topping albums, achieving one of his biggest hits to date with single “Time Is Love.” As a child, Turner honed his unique voice singing bass in church choir quartets before heading to Nashville to pursue his passion – country music. His platinum-certified 2003 debut Long Black Train was an instant hit, rising to No. 3 on the country charts on the strength of its title track and lead single. Sophomore album Your Man would peak at No. 1 on the Country Albums chart, followed by 2007’s Everything is Fine and 2010’s Haywire, the latter featuring No. 1 hits “Why Don’t We Just Dance” and “All Over Me.” Turner is known for putting on one of the most entertaining live concerts in country music, building anticipation among ticket buyers for his upcoming 2014 tour.
Josh Turner and his band were given a warm welcome from the crowd in Hyannis. Josh and his band seemed happy to be there and gave an outstanding and unfogettable performance!! We're hoping to see Josh Turner again next summer at the Cape Cod Melody Tent. It's a great place to see a show and we really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere , not to mention there isn't a bad seat in the house!
Josh Turner in concert was better than anything he could have recorded. He is a BAMF.
Josh had about 6 musicians with him, all incredibly talented. Unfortunately his wife has a newborn at home so was not part of the band that night. His speaking and singing voice is incredible-- could listen toit all day. Love his songs and lyrics.
great show, fast pace and high energy from the start
Josh Turner is fantastic. My husband and I ended up sitting in the row where Josh came onto and left the stage. When he came to go on stage he was inches from me. On his way off the stage he slapped me five. I was in total awe. Thank you, Josh. Your music is inspiring and your live shows rock. Please keep making your wonderful music with that great deep voice. God Bless!!!
We had a great time at the show. I was really impressed by the set up and professionalism of the Melody Tent. The parking was so easy and the bathrooms were incredibly clean ( major plus at a concert venue). The show itself was AMAZING! This was my 2nd time seeing Josh Turner and he never fails to impress. His music is so moving and he is a lot of fun to watch. At times I felt like he was looking right at me we were so close! There is not a bad seat in the house at the Melody Tent. I would go back there anytime!
What a great show! Josh sang all of my favorite songs and he sounded just as good,if not better than on CD! The show was entertaining and funny! We had a wonderful time!
My wife and I were fortunate to be at Sunday night's Josh Turner concert. We have been to several of his concerts. We enjoy his show because he actually sounds better in person than on his CDs. Quite a tribute to his voice. What made it so enjoyable was the fact that the crowd was really into it. Once he got to "Long Black Train" and had everyone stand up, the place was really jumping. He kept the momentum going with "Your Man", finishing up with "Will you go with me". We really enjoy his songs because, for the most part, they are not "racy". We look forward to his next concert. The venue was awesome! We highly recommend going to the Melody tent, we don't think there is a bad seat in the place. The concert would have been fantastic if Josh returned for an encore! As we said, the place was really into it when he was singing "Will you go with me"....to not come out for encore was a downer. (a minor one for sure, but it would have made it a a six star performance!)

An awesome show by a fantastic entertainer who is very sexually appealing but does a clean show that children can view. Love his personality, wonderful smile and great personalty. The venues at Florida Theatre are always top notch, and I haven't had a bad seat in all the concerts/events I have attended there in 10-15 years.
This show was absolutely amazing! Being in the Florida Theatre, it was a very intimate show and at one point, Turner took a moment and addressed a fan club member whom he'd met before the show. The boy was battling cancer and Turner made it a point to give his words of encouragement to him and his family. I highly recommend his show to anyone who is even remotely a fan. His deep voice sounds even better in person than it does on the radio!
First time to an event at the Florida Theatre, and we are looking forward to returning. Comfy, cozy, intimate, I don't think there is a bad seat in the house! Josh is amazing! Love his voice and the messages of his songs! Personable and entertaining!
Concert was fantastic. Only down side was 45+ minute wait between opening act and Josh. Crowd was restless and starting to clap and stomp feet because of the delay.
I was expecting a pleasant and entertaining evening... but Josh Turner blew me away... he is adorable, what a voce, what a band, what a performer!!! The show was awesome beginning to end.... can't wait to see him again.
The venue (Cape Cod Melody Tent) did not have a bad seat in the house. We are big fans of Josh's music so seeing him in person was incredible. He sang every song I love and was interactive with the audience...everyone agreed it was awesome!
To start the show, I'm use to seeing someone I've never seen or heard before. However, this time was different. Josh came out and started the show. I heard songs from him that I never heard as well as his Greatest Hits. I personally enjoyed every song. This whole experience made me want to buy his CD. During the song "Soulmate", my wife started to cry. She may have realized that I wasn't that for her (haha) or she may have been truely touched. She NEVER cries for any movies or songs.
The venue at the Cape Cod Melody Tent is always great. Every seat is up close and personal. Josh Turner has such an amazing voice, and is high energy. He did not stop singing for an hour and a half - from one song right into the next. We thoroughly enjoyed his performance, and it didn't hurt that the weather was perfect, the audience truly appreciated his talent, and even the opening band was very good. Great evening.
Josh surprised me...I thought it would be good...but it was really AWSOME. Josh plays for all audiences - both young and more mature ALL loved his music. His voice is exactly like in the recording studio...which is great! He gets the audience on their feet and singing along. Great time.
I was really sad when after 8-10 songs he suddenly hopped off stage with only a quick thank you. No encore! No nothing! I was really let down. He was very funny and sang beautifully, but I expected longer at the Melody Tent. I did hear later that because of the nieghborhood Melody Tent makes the concerts shorter on a Sunday night...but for a full priced ticket you should get a full show.
It was a great show and after seeing him for the second time I would go again and again. Would recommend seeing him if you ever get the chance.
