Thoroughly enjoyable show! Jose is a truly unique and talented individual who continues to surprise with fresh new compositions and new twists to older tunes. The members of his band are phenomenal too.
I lived in Venezuela in the late '60' and loved dancing to Jose's music, I saw him in DC in '71, playing flamenco which I love, I studied at the U. of Madrid for several years and loved Flamenco, Jose was incredible. I studied classical guitar under a master in Italy for 4 years, Jose is simply an awesome guitarist. I love what he has done with marrying classical with the incredible Latino sounds of Congo and Bongo drums, classic drums, base guitar and wonderful keyboards and their oh, so talented artists, perfection!! My husband and I very much enjoyed the way Jose would speak to the audience about his songs and himself and thought the entire evening was Wonderful evening!!
Really awesome show. He continues to be one of the greatest guitar players of our time.
What musicianship! What a class act. The band was amazing as well. You could tell the whole band loved being on stage.
Music was very good. JF's comments were boring and inane. He should stick to the music or simply say things that pertain to his music. Could have been 4 star without the comments.
JOSE FELICIANO IS A WONDERFUL GUITARIST AND PERFORMER. FOR ME AND MY HUSBAND IT ISN'T CHRISTMAS UNTIL WE SEE HIS CONCERT. HE CAME 2 YRS AGO AND THAT CONCERT WAS SOOO GOOD WE HAD TO GO SEE HIM AGAIN. I HOPE HE CONTINUES TO KEEP COMING BACK TO SAN ANTONIO, WE LOVE HIM HERE.
I really enjoyed the diversity of music he played. He was interesting, candid and fun. He played something for everyone in the audience including rock, jazz, spanish and R&B. His rendition of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" was fabulous.He was also very gracious giving credits to his talented band. I would recommend that all ages go hear him.
Jose Feliciano is a great entertainer, the best. He never disappoints.
Jose Feliciano is amazing to watch. What a fabulous voice he has----His powerful vocals filled the auditorium and everyone was absolutely silent as they absorbed the combination of virtuoso guitar playing, his amazing vocal performance, and his subtle sense of humor that he displays between songs. He talks to the audience and tells stories in between his numbers, which adds to the touching connection he makes with the audience. His guitar playing is brilliant and I was left in awe many times throughout the show. If Mr. Feliciano ever performs in your area, don't miss it. He is so good, that I nearly teared up in some spots during the performance.
I can watch and listen to Jose every day. I suppose 8 Grammy's tells you most of what you need to know but if you've never seen him in person it is truly a great experience. I consider this artist an American musical icon at the top of his profession. I've seen him perform twice in Tucson and look forward to the next opportunity.
Jose Feliciano was absolutely wonderful. He was just awesome to watch and listen to. Not only is he a phenomenal musician, he is funny and so very personable. The venue was good too. Not a bad seat in the place.
I really loved the concert. I had never heard him sing in english, I have several of his CD's in spanish.
His voice is as strong as ever. He held the audience attention the whole time. He and his band members do not need special lighting and theatrics, they are entertainers who can deliver a strong and captivating performance. Jose also had a funny side to him which is nice.
I saw Jose Feliciano perform in 1971, and in 2009. He looks great, and his voice and guitar skills are even better, and the show and musical selections were excellent. The concert took place a day after Michael Jackson passed away, and Jose paid him a wonderful tribute and did the best instrumental rendition of Billie Jean I have ever heard.
The test of a great concert is truly the quality of the music. Forget the lights, glimmer and special effects. Jose Feliciano is an icon, a legend, and a true musical master with humility and grace. The guitar, the voice, the style and flair, it's all a unique experience that is simply spellbinding. I couldn' t remove focus from the first note to the last, and only hated to see the concert end. What an experience.
The venue smelled a little smokey which detracted from the overall effect but the concert was more enjoyable than we ever thought it would be.
This show was great, it was amazing to see such a great Artist preforming!!!
The evening was surprisingly cool with a brief shower. The show was fantastic and Jose was quite personable and chatted between songs. He also did a nice salute to Michael Jackson. The venue appeared to be very new and clean. Easy to get to and the staff were very helpful and attentive.
Jose Feliciano is a fantastic performer--vocalist and musician! His concert at Camel Rock Casino was energetic, inspiring and fun. He showed his tremendous versitility belting out everything from boleros, to R&B, Pop and Heavy Rock.
