About

Jonathan McReynolds on Tour

After his latest album Make Room debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Gospel chart, racked up 1.3 million streams in its first week of release and received a Grammy nod for the Best Gospel Album of 2018, there was only one thing for Jonathan McReynolds to do: take his show on the road. But the Make More Room tour is about more than the powerful, uplifting, R&B-flavored worship music that's earned McReynolds legions of devoted fans and admirers, including luminaries like India.Irie, Nicki Minaj and Justin Bieber. It's a chance for McReynolds to bring his ministry across the United States. Even with his heaps of musical accolades — along with the Grammy nod, he's also scored two Billboard No. 1 albums and one Billboard No. 1 song — McReynolds is dedicated to spreading the word of Christ far and wide via every possible channel. On YouTube, his Bible-teaching videos regularly rack up tens of thousands of views, and he published his first book, titled Make Room: Finding Where Faith Fits, in November of 2018, a volume filled with personal observations, spiritual lessons and scripture-based advice gleaned from a lifetime in the church. Whether by the written word, recorded music or his personal preference, live and in-person, McReynolds lives to spread the teachings of Christ to audiences thirsty for divine intervention.

McReynolds was basically born into the church. He grew up the son of a single mother on the South Side of Chicago, and began playing drums and organ and singing in the youth choir at a young age. Along with the influence of gospel greats like Kim Burrell, Smokie Norful and Israel Houghton, he looked up to secular superstars like Stevie Wonder, John Mayer and Paul McCartney. He released his first album, called Life Music, in 2012, when he was 23 years old, and since then has seen his career skyrocket. His live performances typically find him center stage, sharing the spotlight with only his golden singing voice, his righteous word and an acoustic guitar — a mesmerising, uplifting experience that will fill your soul.

    Excellent

by Candi on 3/23/19Sony Hall - New York

Jonathan McReynolds is An excellent performer/worship leader. The energy was great the precense of God was inthe place. My only issue was having to stand the whole time. I did not realize it was pretty much standing room only unless the VIP tickets were purchased.

    Best concert yet

    by K. J. on 3/23/19Sony Hall - New York

Although I could’ve used a seat, once the concert started I forgot all about that. Jonathan McReynolds did that. My husband and I worshipped all night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely come back anytime he is there. Especially when he brings great friends like Jason Nelson and Anthony Brown!!!

    Awesome

    by J. D. on 3/23/19Sony Hall - New York

Jonathan song every song you wanted him to sing. He did a great job of keeping the crowd engaged. The opening ACT's were great I didn't even know they were in tour with him. I would go to their concerts too. I wish they song more songs though. I wanted the concert to be longer. I did not like the venue space. It would have been nice to have all seating vs just the VIP, but I guess it would not have been as many people. DJ Tony Tone was alright he should have played a Papa San sing just saying.

Nice venue but they didnt let us in for an hour and it was raining so...our electronic ticket didnt work ao had to get out of line ad walk in the rain next door to get a laper ticket.

AMAZING CONCERT!!! (all it needed was seating)

by J Williams on 3/18/19A and R Music Bar - Columbus

The concert was absolutely amazing!!! Headliner performed for a great length of time as well as the artists prior. MC did a great job as well! Venue just needed seating...4hrs is too long, after standing in the rain outside, to then have to stand for the full concert. If there would have been seating by this venue or if Ticketmaster would not have switched the venue from a location that had seating originally....this concert would have been absolutely perfect!

Jonathan McReynolds was amazing. What an anointed young man

by Dmarie on 3/17/19A and R Music Bar - Columbus

Jonathan McReynolds is absolutely amazing. Love his music. He really engages his audience. He is anointed and so important for this time when our youth need positive influence. It is evident that he knows God in a very real way. His message through his song is life breathing. I only wish the venue were larger and had seats. He crosses generations and some generations can't stand for an entire concert. The fact that he had new artist Isaiah Templeton was wonderful!!!! Another young anointed gift that God has chosen for this generation. Jason Nelson was also a great add to the Make More Room Tour! Just please make more room at these venues.

    Jonathan McReynolds was lit!

by GMusicLovr on 9/12/18House of Blues Cleveland presented by Cricket Wireless - Cleveland

The concert was great. It was great from start to finish. The opening acts were awesome. They helped to set the worship atmosphere for the main course. They helped to set a crescendo with Jonathan McReynolds. Once, he hit the stage; the presence of the Spirit was insurmountable. You'd have to have been dead not to feel what happened in the Cambridge Room at the House of Blues. Jonathan McReynolds had a playlist that was lit from beginning to end. He had a way of ushering in the Spirit without trying to do so. He naturally hyped up the audience with a cadre of songs from his last two albums,Life Music & Make Room; the same name as his tour. Every song ushered you into the presence of God. He has a way of appealing to both young & old through his music. If you're a fan of gospel; looking for something to put in constant rotation, I highly recommend you go to one of his concerts.
