    Short set/No encore!

by Reverend1 on 9/20/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - Biloxi

Sad. Traveled to Biloxi, Ms from Florida. John only played for an hour and failed to come out for an encore. Although I have his new CD which is great, I expected to hear some classic Babys and Bad English. Only played about three Babys hits and no Bad English.

    He couldn't waite!

by JPPJPP on 9/20/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - Biloxi

First let me say that I absolutely love John Waite. I've only seen him live once (10 years ago) put have 5 of his albums. I traveled 2 hours to see him this time. He absolutely rocked it, especially with his rendition of Bob Dillon's Watchtower! Here's the problem. The concert started at 8:15 or so. John played for 30 minutes and then left the stage while the dummer did an extended solo. He came back and rocked some more. At the 1 hour mark, he announced, "Thank you, went to the edge of the stage and started slapping hands. The announcer said "John Waite everybody" and he left the stage. Well I wasn't worried because last time (10 years ago) he did the same thing and came back to play another hour! Guess what....not this time. People were chanting his name, so after about 5 minutes, the bass guitar player came out and said "Something happened, he's not coming bacK" and left the stage for good. Woww?!? less than an hour of concert? Isn't that refund time?

    Short Waite

by ArtyBB22 on 9/20/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - Biloxi

John Waite's performance was very good for the most part but far too short. Paying $75 for tickets I expected more than 1 hour of music (5 minutes being a drum solo). We were not alone, the crowd was also very disappointed. I know you always leave the audience wanting more but this was a joke. As hard as he was pushing the sale of his new CD he should have stayed longer,

    Great as usual

by DROD1 on 9/19/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - Biloxi

Great mix of solo career music, music from the Babys, and outside influence music. Show was too short due to casino rules but John Waite under any circumstance is still good. Miss the Bad English music from the set. Only reason the overall rating is not 5 stars is only due to short set but not his fault.

    John Waite a waste

by Rockergd on 9/19/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - Biloxi

He sounded good once he warmed up a little then walked off the stage after 1 hour and 5 minutes. Two hour drive for 1 hour and five= screwed!!

John Waite good for an hour

by Kikdee on 9/19/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - Biloxi

Ok he sounded great but for no reason ended the show after only playing an hour? If that is a regular occurrence on this tour I would have liked some advance notice. I don't think it was worth driving 2 hours to only get an hour of entertainment.

    Forgot lyrics

by urbanski on 9/19/11IP Casino Resort and Spa - Biloxi

Was very disappointed. The band was great, John Waite's voice was great, but he continually forgot lyrics and was constantly looking at his setlist. At the end when he was supposed to do an encore he came out, performed one song, then just walked off. Audience kept expecting him to come back out, but his guitarist came out and said "We had to stop" and that was the end of the show.

John Waite was amazing as always! I have seen him live about 20 times and he never disappoints. The most under rated artist ever.

Very intimate setting....325 seat venue. Loved every moment of it. John's voice is truly amazing...great vocalist. Very tight backing band....played all of the hits that made him famous. His new music was well received and sounded great.

    He still brings it

by artful on 6/8/11The Plaza Theatre - Orlando

John Watie still brings his passionate voice to the stage after all of these years. His new music is hip, edgy and full of energy. His ballads still tell a love story. Then when he plays his hits from the 80's, we are reminded just how fortunate we have been for all of these years. A playful showman that makes the audience feel so close to him.

    Fantastic show!

by dmetal on 3/9/11Showcase Live - Foxboro

Nice venue, small but still spacious feeling, food was ok. Not a bad seat in the house and the sound was great. John Waite put on a great show, even the new tunes were really good. Excellent show for the money, will definitely be looking to go to this venue more often!

The show was a lot of fun. John sounds just as fantastic live. He is a very personable, sweet man, and a wonderful showman. The Showcase Live staff was great. Our waitress was so much fun and very attentive.

John Waite truly worth the wait!

by Dragonsbreath on 3/6/11Showcase Live - Foxboro

There is a picture in the dictionary next to the word "voice". That picture is of John Waite. Have not seen him perform in quite awhile...this was worth the wait! This is a singer/songwriter/musician who performs with a wide range of emotions. His music paints pictures and tells stories. Songs of lost love, songs of being loved ,songs of having a good time and living life to its fullest. His voice is as great now, as it was when he was with the band "The Babys"! John's band sounded fantastic! He had Kyle Cook(from Matchbook Twenty) on guitar, Tim Hogan on bass and Rondo on drums. This band sounded tight! John played guitar on a few tunes as well. This is a must-see show! Pickup the new cd by John Waite.."Rough & Tumble"! You my friends, will not be dissappointed...I promise..It is a classic!

    John Waite w/Kyle Cook rocked!

by carlottapluvsKyle on 3/5/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

The show was great! I am a huge Matchbox Twenty fan so I went to see Kyle play. I love the new cd Rough & Tumble and especially the songs Kyle wrote with John. The night was filled with old & new and it all worked incredibly. Kyle was on fire on lead guitar and John's vocals were spot on. I would recommend everyone go see them if you can. You will not be disappointed.

    John Waite worth the wait

by susanfilm on 3/5/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I made a trip from the Philly suburbs to Times Square to see my childhood idol, John Waite. 3 friends and I made a day of it, taking in a Broadway show and dinner at Lucille's. Definitely eat at Lucille's before a concert, the food was great. More importantly, John Waite was AMAZING. His voice was crystal clear. He and his talented new band mixed songs from their new CD, Rough and Tumble, (which were so good I bought the CD after the concert) with his top hit crowd pleasers, along with songs of my youth from The Babys that made me and my gal pals get up and dance. I continue to be a lifelong fan, while he and his band made new fans out of my friends. One listen, and you will be hooked.
