I love this venue. I so enjoyed the concert. My one critique would be John Pee Kee's performance. I LOVE him but his sound was waaaay to loud. I heard other attendees say the same. If his volume was kept the same as the other performances I would rate 5 stars.
Showed Up and Showed Out! The quality of this group is stellar!!! They were on stage for at about 2 hours and never lost their singing/playing power, spiritually uplifting everyone in the building with enthusiasm of their gifts. I left better than when I arrived. I can't wait to see John P. Kee again!
Despite the rain, the 3 of us had a Wonderful time. This was my 2nd time coming to this venue & I'm sure I'll be back for another. The food vendors were nice also. Keep the great artist coming. It was a long, long time since we've seen John P. Kee....like about 10 or so...... That was an added plus!!!! Also enjoy the local artists. Sorry for the late reply.
First of all, in purchasing tickets for the show, nowhere was there there mention that the venue was outside. Had I known that, I certainly would not have purchased any tickets. "Rain or Shine" was on the ticket when I picked them up at will call. It rained and no way were we sitting on rain soaked chairs in the pouring rain. I will never purchase another ticket that includes Pompano Beach. We left without seeing the show, with money gone down the drain. We were excited and so looking forward to a wonderful evening.
Gave these tickets as a vday gift to my mom and her friend. They both raved about their experience and are still talking about it days after. They had no complaints, even if it did rain the day of the event, they loved it.
John P. Kee has the baddest back up in the business. He is talented as ever, such an anointed praise and worshipper. He is witty and entertaining. he is very personable, and the music is soothing, exciting, and culturally relevant.
#1 I didn't know the event was to be held outside, #2 long wait in the rain, #3 acoustics too loud, it rained during the event couldn't see because of all the umbrellas, the show was supposed to start at 5, by 7:30 I still hadn't seen John Kee or Marvin Sapp, It was too rainy and cold to stay any longer. What a waste of money. I will never go there again. Never did even get to see my two favorite singers.
I understand this was a rain or shine event, however the event planners did not open doors until after 5pm and that was the time the show was to begin. In the interim we had to stand in the rain, while the performers were rehearsing on stage. Because the rain did not stop in time, I decided to forfeit my tixs because I was not going to enjoy a concert in the rain. Unfortunate experience.
We enjoyed the concert very much despite being rained on the entire evening. The sound was actually pretty distorted as the bass was way too loud and you couldn't hear the vocals very well. After moving to the back of the amphitheatre, we were able to hear a better mix.
The venue volume was too loud. We had seats in the 6th row. We didn’t sit in our seats because of concerns of hearing loss. We didn’t stay for the entire event because it was just too loud. So many people had paper in their ears and kept moving away from the stage. We had a friend leave to go to the store to buy ear plugs for us. It was that crazy loud. And the event was too long. A 5 o’clock start and the headliner doesn’t get to the stage until almost 9PM. This is a family event. Kids need to go to bed. And we drove almost an hour to get there.
John P. Kee is someone you want to see! The gospel fest was awesome! John P. Kee was very, very funny during his performance. He gave a powerful, joyous performance! His background singers and band were great! The drummer was powerful! I enjoyed all the other groups as well. However, Brother Keeper gave a stand out performance I truly enjoyed them. I would like to see more of them. John (you must come perform again).
not a concert, but an Awesome worship experience! The Jonathan Ferrell Foundation is truly about ministry. Blessings
Just love John P. Kee he's a great artist with great worship . My kids enjoyed it too!
