Was disappointed. Not worth the price. Material was not great. Thought it was ridiculous the venue made you lock up your devices.
He is a smart, successful man, but his show on Friday, January 26, 2024 just wasn't that funny. We laughed and applauded out of courtesy, but perhaps his humor doesn't resonate with us. We have seen some of the best (Seinfeld, Gaffigan, Dunham, Foxworthy, Engval, etc.) and his show just didn't create the belly laughs we were hoping for. Perhaps it was just an off night for him as he is obviously talented and knows his craft.
John is the funniest man alive. This was so good, as expected
Mulaney was hilarious, as usual. The Venue is also a lovely space, although the exit is quite crowded. But it has great amenities. My only complaint is that the Premium Balcony seats get their own bartender, but that bartender can only accept cash, so we waited for her to come by only to have to go wait in line to buy drinks from our seats.
The Absolute Best Comedy Show of My Life!John was engaging, witty fun and hilariously unpredictable in his set!I loved his humor! He was super funny and it was such a fantastic way for me to laugh and let go of a lot at the end of such a difficult year!Thank you John Mulaney!
My sons and I never miss one of John Mulaney’s Netflix specials. It was such a treat to offer John Mulany’s Concert as this year’s holiday experience as a family! He was funny and at times thought provoking. We had a great time and will never forget our first comedy show as a fam!
Great show (but on the short side). He answers with a resounding yes the question “does humor survive rehab?”
First couple sets were pretty good but the rest was kind of boring and not too funny. Talking about your toddler/infant son is just mailing it in.
The ticket purchasing process was intimidating to me at first, but it was easy and efficient. John Mulaney was fantastic, and it was a great way to ring in the new year! His warm up act was good, but he mumbled a lot so we didn't understand everything he said. When we did understand him, he was funny. We had a great family night out!
Parking is the worst. Don’t bother. Literally never come here
John Mulaney is funny but I spent as much money getting to and from this venue as I did on the ticket, on top of the hours of traffic in the rain. I don't care about comics who don't care about me and John is now on that list. Enjoy your life of sobriety and being a cheater! lol
we had such a great time seeing john mulaney in rosemont. he did an incredible set and was so hilarious, per usual. it was tedious having to package our electronics up since we didn’t get to take any pics at the venue but i understand some artists’ desire to keep their new content private, especially if they plan on filming it for a stand up special in the future, which i hope he’ll do. all in all we had such a great time, so many laughs, and our seats were great.
We thoroughly enjoyed the show! He always makes us laugh. We took my 26 yr old daughter and my 88 year old mother in law. He’s funny to all three generations;) Thanks for the entertainment!
John Mulaney was terrific (but awful warm up act). Rosemont itself gets a 1 out of 5 star rating. Terribly organized parking, bad signage, workers screaming directions about locking up phones, just a hostile environment in general. I'd never go to another event there.
Thankfully the show got delayed a bit and the show was great, but the traffic around the Rosemont was AWFUL!! Even trying to get there early or on time was almost impossible. Especially for a Thursday, like why have they not addressed this?
He is so funny! Felt so good to just relax and laugh! However I tried to find the name of who opened for him. He was pretty funny too! First name started with an LU I believe. Anybody out there know who that was?
We had a great time seeing John Mulaney! Very funny and all new material :) I highly recommend seeing him live and watching all of his specials on Netflix. My only complaint is that he needs to stop putting down Lou Malnati’s, Giordano’s and Garrett’s Popcorn like a native New Yorker - especially now that he has moved back to Chicagoland.
I am in a wheelchair. We arrived at the venue a few minutes late (around 5 minutes). We were told the theatre parking lot was full so we had to park in the overflow lot. This was a disaster. The garage was very backed up. There were minimal spots open. When I finally parked, I had to roll across the entire parking lot of the venue, some uphill. It was also raining and I assumed I would have the handicap parking which I did not. I was wet when I entered the building. The show was half over by the time I arrived at the my seating. I was so annoyed, I could not enjoy the show which was very good. Much better organization is required for parking. The notice of heavy traffic is an understatement. I will think twice before I attend this location.
John and his team are excellent. Rosemont theater has poorly planned. Extremely expensive parking with drinks. More expensive than any hotel bar you've ever been in. Think about arriving fully beveraged and food it up and put as many people as you can in one car, $25 a spot is a robbery and $18 beers is as well. Almost makes you feel bad for the performers.
