  • absolutely love john!!!

by isabelle on 12/26/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

we had such a great time seeing john mulaney in rosemont. he did an incredible set and was so hilarious, per usual. it was tedious having to package our electronics up since we didn’t get to take any pics at the venue but i understand some artists’ desire to keep their new content private, especially if they plan on filming it for a stand up special in the future, which i hope he’ll do. all in all we had such a great time, so many laughs, and our seats were great.

  • hilarious!

by Leeza on 12/26/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed the show! He always makes us laugh. We took my 26 yr old daughter and my 88 year old mother in law. He’s funny to all three generations;) Thanks for the entertainment!

  • John Mulaney was great, horribly run event

by BChicago on 12/25/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 2 out of 5

John Mulaney was terrific (but awful warm up act). Rosemont itself gets a 1 out of 5 star rating. Terribly organized parking, bad signage, workers screaming directions about locking up phones, just a hostile environment in general. I'd never go to another event there.

  • Show was great, venue needs SERIOUS improvement

by Mel on 12/25/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 3 out of 5

Thankfully the show got delayed a bit and the show was great, but the traffic around the Rosemont was AWFUL!! Even trying to get there early or on time was almost impossible. Especially for a Thursday, like why have they not addressed this?

  • John Mulaney

by Kelly on 12/25/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

He is so funny! Felt so good to just relax and laugh! However I tried to find the name of who opened for him. He was pretty funny too! First name started with an LU I believe. Anybody out there know who that was?

  • Hilarious As Always

by Chicagokel on 12/25/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

We had a great time seeing John Mulaney! Very funny and all new material :) I highly recommend seeing him live and watching all of his specials on Netflix. My only complaint is that he needs to stop putting down Lou Malnati’s, Giordano’s and Garrett’s Popcorn like a native New Yorker - especially now that he has moved back to Chicagoland.

  • Awesome show, parking disaster

by Disappointed on 12/25/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 3 out of 5

I am in a wheelchair. We arrived at the venue a few minutes late (around 5 minutes). We were told the theatre parking lot was full so we had to park in the overflow lot. This was a disaster. The garage was very backed up. There were minimal spots open. When I finally parked, I had to roll across the entire parking lot of the venue, some uphill. It was also raining and I assumed I would have the handicap parking which I did not. I was wet when I entered the building. The show was half over by the time I arrived at the my seating. I was so annoyed, I could not enjoy the show which was very good. Much better organization is required for parking. The notice of heavy traffic is an understatement. I will think twice before I attend this location.

  • Great act. Not so good location.

by John m and his opener were excellent. Rosemont theater parking situation blows! on 12/25/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 4 out of 5

John and his team are excellent. Rosemont theater has poorly planned. Extremely expensive parking with drinks. More expensive than any hotel bar you've ever been in. Think about arriving fully beveraged and food it up and put as many people as you can in one car, $25 a spot is a robbery and $18 beers is as well. Almost makes you feel bad for the performers.

  • Rosemont Theatre is a mess

by SAM on 12/24/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 3 out of 5

The Rosemont Theatre and surrounding area is so unorganized. There was no clear entrance to the parking lot. There was no indication that the lot was full. We asked a traffic cop for directions and were ignored. Had to park at the mall and run across busy streets. Then we had to wait in an enormous line out in the cold parking lot to put our phones in pouches. The seating section signs are hard to read from a distance. It was hot in the theatre. If I didn’t pay so much money I would have left before Mulaney even went on. The only reason this review wasn’t one star is because John Mulaney killed.

  • Mulaney on his way to complete greateness!

by Rodrigo on 12/24/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

I've always been a fan of JM, but his turn to a darker more raw comedian is showing us probably one of the greatest comedians this country has produced in decades... amazing!

  • His funniest show ever!

by Goose on 12/24/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely hilarious throughout. Even better that his other shows.

  • Grow up!

by Chris on 12/24/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 1 out of 5

I’m done with the “take -your-phone- away” thing being done for whatever reason. If there’s an emergency.. people will need there phone plain and simple. In the event that “emergency situation” arises, I don’t believe anyone will be around to unlock phone, making a hypothetical bad situation worse. By the way many people control medical equipment with their phones, so taking them away seems like an ADA violation on top of that.

  • Good

by Laurie on 12/24/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great! Being forced to lock up your phone was very frustrating

  • Ain't what it used to be

by FenixDown on 12/24/23Rosemont Theatre - RosemontRating: 2 out of 5

Having seen Mulaney multiple times before, and watched all the specials, this was not what I was used to. The jokes missed the mark a lot, and were hard to follow. The openers, especially Joe Mande, were not my cup of tea. For the price paid, this was not worth it. Additionally, locking up our phones and smart watches was a bit much. Finally, the venue was just a large lecture hall or movie theater.

  • Hilarious

by Samantha Grubbs on 12/23/23Mississippi Coast Coliseum - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

We had such a wonderful time at the John Mulaney comedy show. His opening act was funny, and of course John Mulaney was everything I hoped he would be! It was amazing! I really hope he'll come back so we can do it again!

  • John Mulaney

by Patti on 12/20/23Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 5 out of 5

John, funny as always and his improv is perfect. The ladies with glittery tops on in the audience proved that. Loved the old folks bit and the tour bus driver. Opening acts were fantastic!

  • Missed the mark

by Talon on 12/19/23Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 2 out of 5

I've seen both his specials and live. This time there wasn't any cohesion. He was all over the place and the jokes just didn't hit for me.

  • Not as funny as advertised

    by zea62 on 12/19/23Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 3 out of 5

Noticed we weren't the only people not laughing. A few giggles here and there except for lady sitting right in front of me. She laughed at every single thing he said even if it wasn't a joke, she might have been drunk or high. Her companion wasn't laughing. Would not recommend, just watch it on Netflix.

  • Fun show

    by Mrs. C on 12/19/23Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

Loved John’s style and ability to laugh at himself. The show is consistently entertaining throughout - not full of belly laughs, just good fun from start to finish. I’m a fan! The first opening act left a lot of room for improvement, beginning with not insulting the audience by saying Charlotte probably used the word “patriot “ a lot on January 6th.

  • Very Funny

by Tom Mc. on 12/19/23Ovens Auditorium - CharlotteRating: 4 out of 5

This was a very good show! John is very funny, and I was happy that he performed all new material. The "cell phone in a bag"process was a little cumbersome. Unfortunately we have come to that point where we can't just ask people to not record everything they see. But if you are going to require mobile entry, you have guaranteed that everyone has to go through the extra steps of locking them up...
