    Another amazing show

by Delawaremusicfan1 on 11/14/16The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

I have seen John Eddie many times over the years but cant say I have ever seen him at the Stone Pony. I have to say it was a great show, The stage was large so the band could interact. The sound at the Pony was among the best I have heard at any venue in a very long time. Sound was not only good for Eddie but also his opening act. The show was a great mix of songs some of his standards and a few I had not heard him play in a while. The pace of the show was great and the band seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Unlike a lot of 80s acts he continues to produce excellent new music. His style is relevant to today's music scene. I have recommended him to at least a dozen people and everyone comes away from his live performance an instant fan.... still cant understand why he never made it to the next level.

First, you can't beat the classic, setting, The Wonder Bar, an Asbury Park iconic bar. Great place. Then, add a classic New Jersey musician, like John Eddie and you have appalled house and a real party. Amazing music. People dancing all night. Just an all around great time. If you've never seen John, you're really missing out.

This guy is so awesome! His songs can be moving & touching one minute and then kick a** rocking the next. He is such a clever songwriter & a wonderful showman, too. If you haven't ever seen John Eddie live, you must check out one of his shows. You will be hooked!

Can't understand why John isn't more popular. His lyrics and stage presence are spectacular. He should be one of the most popular artists around,

John Eddie and the Dirty Ol' Band Rocked the Pony

by momcat1959 on 4/2/13The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

John Eddie is truly a master singer/songer/performer. His lyrics are nothing short of brilliant because they are about things we can all relate to. They are not meaningless chatter, but heartfelt and meaningful. The first time I saw je perform I was immediately hooked. His songs wrap around my heart and touch my soul. He really knows how to connect with the audience. I believe he is the most under-rated musician of his time. His band consists of a group of the most talented muscians around. PK Lavengood, Ted Russell, Ralph Notaro, David Halpern and of course the amzing bass player Kenny Aaronson are the best of the best. They really rocked the Pony on Saturday.

    John Eddie was outstanding!

by Anonymous on 4/1/13The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

Great show....I have not been to a John Eddie show for at least 20 years! Back in the day when my now wife and I used to go to his shows, not only for his full out rock and roll, but also because Bruce Springsteen always attended John Eddie shows and often joined him on-stage. He was phenomenal! The band rocked the Stone Pony into the we hours of the morning, and it was obvious the band was having a great time and aimed to please. Three cheers to John and the boys for rocking out the Pony!

Unforgettable Show! Terry Camp's Birthday Party!

by njgirlshirl on 4/1/13The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

John Eddie was at his best @ The Stone Pony for Terry Camp's Birthday Party! Several bands played prior to the moment that John walked on stage including Nick Clemons Band, Willie Nile and various others. Great crowd; lots of dancing and partying happening. The show went on for hours and the crowd was roaring! Stunning Awesome review for everyone that appeared!

John Eddie's Holiday show was rocking

by ShoreGirl7 on 12/17/12The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

a great holiday show with Santa and the Dirty Old Man Band rocking the Pony. John Eddie played songs from his new album Same Old Brand New Me, JE gems, some great covers of the Stones, The Who and Bruce and two JE songs covered by Kid Rock (Lowlife and Happy New Year). Always a good time!

best from one of the best

by 46andtwo on 2/14/12The Stone Pony - Asbury Park

i have seen john eddie at least 10 times. he alway puts on a great show, whether it's a 2 man acoustic show or a 4 man full band show. well, this is my first time seeing him with a 7 man band, and it blew me away! aside from great songs and tremendous musicianship from everyone involved, john is a great showman and knows how to entertain between songs with funny anecdotes and intros. if you like rock/americana/alt country music and have never seen (or heard of john eddie), do yourself a favor and check him out. his 2 most recent albums are the most americana in style while his earlier stuff is more poppy. he also has a huge bank of songs that aren't on any of his albums (which, to my dismay, are some of my personal favorites - luckily there is always youtube).

The new album is amazing.... was singing I'm Still Drunk while walking into work this morning - gotta find a different one to listen to right before work LOL John and his band's energy was felt through The Stone Pony. We met some great new people who were fans of John, can't wait to see them again. The Faithful came out in droves :)

    A must see performance

by JerseyMikeP on 1/13/12The Fast Lane - Asbury Park

You have to see John Eddie and the band if you haven't done so. They play a mix of great covers along with their originals. If you enjoy folk rock, guitar bands, rock and roll ... this is the band to see. I'm looking forward to seeing them again soon. I've been going to shows for over 20 years.

    Absolutely Amazing Performer

by Sunisims on 7/28/11All over the place - Plainsboro

I have seen John many, many times for many, many years! I go back to the beginning, way back to the 80's, when he played places like The Stone Pony every Friday Night. I, too, never understood how he did not make it huge, but you would never know it when you see him. Whether it's for 50,000+ at a stadium (he played Amnesty International in 1986) or for 7 of us at a private party - the show is the same . . . phenomenmal! If you ever get the chance to see this guy - DO IT - you won't be disappointed. JE . . . the "chick from Brooklyn" will never forget you!!
