  • John Brown’s Body is what I needed

by Parkcity on 12/17/24Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Small venue which I love with a group like JBB. The show was fantastic. The entertainment didn’t need to come from some flashy pyrotechnic stage production instead the artists, the music, and the vibe made the night. A few jam sessions. A solid set. Fun stage talk. Got to chat up close and personal with a few band members (super personable dudes). Yeah, JBB is what I needed. If you get the chance, go to their show. Dance, wiggle, stare, close your eyes and listen, it’ll all be a good time at a JBB show.

  • loved it

by ShellyBellyD on 1/28/14Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

We haven't seen this band in ages, but we decided to go because we had a blast back in the day when we saw them. Once they started to play it totally reminded of why we loved them when we first saw them! The lead singer has so much energy and is so fun to watch. The rest of the band is really great as well. Highly recommend!

  • Awesome. Simply. Purely. Awesome.

  • JBB was Absolutely Incredible!!!!

by Patricialove on 4/29/13Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

JBB gave an excellent performance! They were wonderfully connected with each other and that was felt very cool. There was a spiritual aspect to the band and they deserve much praise for that. Kevin interacted with the audience and that was Amazing. The horn trio added an additional beauty to the music. I would go see them again at any and every opportunity. Very much worth the ticket price. Thank You JBB! You made three hours of dancing into an experience I will never forget!!!

  • JBB killed it! Was JBB in DUB all the way.

by DubDiezel on 12/13/12Culture Room - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Hands down The Culture Room is the best venue that holds concerts in South FLA. With Revolution Live coming in a close 2nd. A very good opportunity for bands to have intimate performaces for the fans as there isn't a bad spot in the place, so long as you make time to show up early. You will be right up on the band. The upper story where I was for this particular show, though not too much room, is still the best spot in my opinion. You get a good overview of the entire stage while still remaining pretty close as if you were on the bottom floor. JBB mixes dub with roots, rock, funk even, or what they like to call "Future Reggae". My shirt bounced off my chest with the Bass lines from bass player Nate Edgar to tracks they played like "Follow Into Shadow" with the dubby reverb delayed echoes, just gave a much relaxed perfect chill vibe while still being able to make the crowd move. What I luv about JBB is you know they are having as much fun performing their songs as people/fans were hearing the music. I think each one of them danced and moved around on stage as much as the next guy did. I was worried at first as I couldn't believe there wasn't awhole lot of people there. Wraps & Kush who opened for them killed it and did a great job for playing in front of a small crowd. It was amazing to see how the place filled up as time drew closer to John's Brown Body's arrival. Stellar show and would recommend to anyone who has not seen this band, to go out and do so. You will not have wasted your money whatsoever, and I bet you'll go out and purchase some of their music once you've seen them live. Pressure Points, Amplify, and for dub lovers JBB in DUB are good album starting points my friends. Peace!
