Great Joe, great show! Fantastic backing band. Crowd involvement. Fun all the way around. Superb evening. Catch it!
I was impressed by Piscopo's musical ability, both singing and playing instruments especially the drums. His impressions were just fair. Whoever was controlling the lighting for the stage and the spotlights, often turned the spotlights on the audience, it was blinding and served no purpose for the effects on the stage.
Great show! We arrived late but we had great seats. Very fun upbeat and old school show. Joe Piscopo is an extremely talented man. Don't miss his show!
Went to see Michael and he was great. Surprised to see how talented Joe is. Sang, played guitar, piano, sax, drums and flute. Enjoyed the show and wouldn't mind seeing it again.
Show was good. Would have liked to see more Sinatra. Springsteen act was great. Lingoria's voice was amazing. Skip the Letterman skit.
We took a quick trip to Caesars in Atlantic City last night to see Joe Piscopo and Michael Longoria at the Circus Maximus Theater in a musical/comedy show called "That's Life" built loosely around the music of Frank Sinatra. I say "loosely" because the Sinatra portion of the show is just one part of an evening that includes tributes to and/or sendoffs of Bruce Springsteen, Gene Krupa, Johnny Cash, David Letterman, Jerry Lewis and Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. If you remember Joe Piscopo on Saturday Night Live then you know that Piscopo's rendition of 'Ole Blue Eyes is spot on. And in this show Piscopo looks, sounds, acts and moves like Sinatra. It's almost eerie. And Piscopo's basso profundo take on Johnny Cash is equally effective. I'm not ordinarily one for tribute shows or impersonators but Piscopo is very good at what he does. And, he's so multi-talented that he's bound to win you over. In the course of the evening (backed by a 14-piece orchestra and vocals) Piscopo played the piano, the saxophone, the drums and the flute. Plus, Piscopo's vocal range is impressive. But even Piscopo could not manage the high-pitched sounds of Frankie Valli. That's where Michael Longoria came in. Longoria originated the Valli role on Broadway in Jersey Boys. Longoria is gifted with an an incredible voice but he also has undeniable star quality. This diminutive young man has an extraordinary stage presence. His vocal dexterity, his timing and his moves on stage all come together to create something that can only be described as electrifying. And Longoria didn't limit himself to Frankie Valli. He covered a variety of jukebox tunes, mostly from the doo-wop era. But here's the thing: He made each of these classics seem totally new again. Every song came alive with a surprising new luster. At times Piscopo and Longoria seemed to be an odd couple -- the streetcorner Joizee Guy and the newly-minted Broadway Baby. And yet, the evening worked. Yes, the show still has some rough edges. For example, some of the transitions need to be smoothed out. But I would encourage these two to continue performing together. For pure entertainment value, this show is hard to beat. And, with a little help from a few more friends "That's Life" may yet wind up on the Great White Way. BTW: The Circus Maximus Theater is a great place to see a show. This is a traditional setting with theater-style seating. The seats are comfortable and the sight lines are great. Production values are high and nearly every seat is a good seat
Best seats in the house - I could see the whites of their eyes! Didn't want the show to end. Very enjoyable - a great combination with a new young talent. Piscopo is not just a comedian. Pass the word.
This show was great! I really enjoyed it! I would love to see it again! Piscopo is still amazing after all these years and Longoria is an amazing singer!
I laughed so hard that I cried. Joe Piscopo still has it - he is very entertaining. He is multi-talented. He impresonations were right on. His songs about NJ were so funny. He surprised us by playing so many instruments!!! This was definitely well worth it. It felt good to laugh. I just don't understand why he teamed up Michael Longoria. He could of done a one man show.
Excellent show. An excellent mix of comedy and singing. Joe is funny and amazingly talented in music, love his performance on all the musical instruments. An eye opener since I thought he was a comedian. Michael Longoria - fantastic voice, loves all the songs he sang and a very good combo performance with Joe. Worth every $!!!
What a great show, never knew Joe Piscopo had such talent. He was fantastic. Michael has a voice.
I bought tickets for my parents. They absolutly loved the show and gave it 5 stars!!!
Following in the foot steps of Sammy Davis and James Brown, Joe is definitely the hardest working entertainer today. He is a white version of Sammy. A great show that gives you the class and sizzle that we previously enjoyed. No phony pyrotechnics or extreme uses of amplification, just good entertainment
I had no idea that Joe Piscopo was soooooo talented. He is an absolutely great entertainer. His musical ability along with all his wonderful imitations was brillant. Michael Longoria is a great talent and he showcased his ability as a wonderful singer. He and Joe work very well together. An all around great show. They got and get a standing O.
I went thinking it was going to be more of a comedy show so I was quite disappointed when I was more music and singing.
We were not sure what to expect from the show..it was GREAT!! Joe Piscopo is a wonderfully talented musician and comedian.
It was far more than I thought. He is an excellent preformer and I would go see his show again. He had a lot of energy and made you laugh and I didn't know what a good voice he had.
I was expecting more comedy from his SNL days but this was more musical and he is quite talented with several instruments and his impressions were spot on.
I went to see Joe Piscopo with the understanding that it would be a funny stand up show as billed "From Saturday Night Live to New Orleans". This show was clearly geared towards an older crowd, as he did many musical impersonations of Sinatra, etc. The funniest part was a clip that he showed from Saturday Night Live. I thought it was very sad....
we enjoyed it . access was wonderful getting into show. employees were great and the show was totally terrific
