  • JJ Never Disappoints

    by Jski90 on 11/26/16The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

What a show! So fun. The Pageant is one of the best venues I've ever been to. His old band is better than this one, but Smiley is still slayin' the bass, and it's always a great time!

  • awesome festival

by Tazbeat on 9/13/16Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center - Punta GordaRating: 4 out of 5

You could get food and drinks without ever leaving the venue. There was non-stop music as there were two stages and music was always happening. The groups, especially the headliner, were all amazing. It was a VERY fun evening.

  • Amazing

What a great festival. It was the prefect evening of Soul & Rock music with just the right amount of atmosphere. Inside the Charlotte Harbor Event Center there was a food truck, a mini restaurant set up, and a snack bar. There were also vendors selling artwork and jewelry, as well as a march booth that had gear for all the bands that performed that night. The lineup was great. I only knew two of the bands going there that night but walked out being introduced to a couple more incredible up and coming artists. This festival needs to happen every year, because as long as it does, I will be there. And i think JJ Grey should be there every year. His set was phenomenal. Seeing him in a big venue like that with everyone up and dancing was incredible. The most energy I have ever seen out of a band.

  • JJ Grey & Mofro don't disappoint!

by Captainelle on 9/13/16Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center - Punta GordaRating: 5 out of 5

JJ Grey was outstanding as usual. I cannot say enough good things about JJ and his fellow Mofro. A couple of the opening acts were a pleasant surprise and great to listen to also.

  • JJ Grey & Mofro with 5 other bands

by Tara217 on 9/13/16Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center - Punta GordaRating: 5 out of 5

A well rounded lineup of blues from Chicago, New Orleans, Ashville NC & Jacksonville, FL all with their own flair of blues. All were GREAT and JJ Grey was Fabulous!!! Definately recommend

Having this show indoors was certainly different. I would have preferred it be outside but I understand the concerns with weather and all. The biggest problem was the beer lines. I would say I probably spent half of my time waiting in line...which was only twice. Mofro was great, first time seeing them. Thomas Wynn is a great band, have seen them before, but they had some serious sound/feedback issues going on. The highlight of the night was a band I'd never even heard of, the Fritz.

  • The Record Company is Dope

by Megaboylv on 4/16/16Birchmere - AlexandriaRating: 5 out of 5

If.you.see one band this summer make damn sure it's The Record Company. Real.rock n roll real.artists and.exciting as they are unpretentious (so.far) Need to shake off the blues these guys are just the tonic

  • JJ Grey & Mofro killed it.

by Catlike on 1/3/16House of Blues Orlando - OrlandoRating: 5 out of 5

Kaleigh Baker opened the show with her Janis Joplin meets the girl next door, amazing voice, sexy sinister sister routine. Her band was hitting on all cylinders and she was on point, hitting all the notes and then some. Then JJ comes out looking like he's ready to party all night and boy did he. This was my first JJ show and I think I picked a good one. He's the real deal, Florida funkmeister, soul man extraordinaire. His band, Mofro are so talented and diverse in their arrangements that I was pleasantly stunned. They played for hours and never faltered. JJ was very personable and just real. I see why he has a devoted fanbase. He deserves it.

  • Another great show by JJ

JJ & the band played great and clearly had a good time. The crowd sang along with the classics and everyone had a blast!

Among the best concerts I've seen in years. JJ Grey brought the house down and blew off the roof. Way beyond my expectations. I've only been into his music about a year but I own every album. Seeing him live was moving. The music, the vibe of the crowd, the band grooving, WOW! Speaking of the band they were fantastic. As a musician I can appreciate solid performers and they did not disappoint. It was a magical night of groovin' boogie, funky beats and rocking' in the souther roots tradition. They went way beyond these labels but it's the best I can do to describe what was a memorable night of great music. Anyone who says today's music is crap needs to go see JJ Grey and & Mofro.

  • JJ Grey & Mofro, G. Love & Special Sauce, Big Head

by JazzenthusiastinFH on 8/21/15NYCB Theatre at Westbury - WestburyRating: 4 out of 5

Great show! We went to see JJ Grey & Mofro and Big Head Todd, but all three bands were great. A truly special night. The only issue we had was with the group of middle-aged children sitting behind us in row K, supposedly cousins of JJ Grey. Obnoxious and juvenile. I think the venue should stop selling alcohol at a certain point in the evening.

  • JJ Grey is the man

Easily one of the best entertainers you will ever see.

  • What a night!

    by Baby33Cakes on 8/17/15Maine State Pier - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

Perfect summer night at the Portland State Pier. The venue was great! JJ Grey was good and got the crowd dancing. Too short! Only played about an hour. No encore. Big Head Todd played some good guitar and had fun doing it.

  • Awesome Show

A great blend of rock and funk between these bands. Would go back anytime to see them.

  • JJ Grey was awesome

by TheGimp13 on 8/15/15Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton BeachRating: 3 out of 5

Overall, I enjoyed the show but with some caveats. I had never seen Big Head Todd before, but really loved them. Great guitar, great sound. I must admit that I did not enjoy G love and Special Sauce. I guess I'm not into the rap style. That's just my opinion; one of my friends really likes them. JJ Grey and Mofro was awesome. I've listened to them quite a bit lately. JJ's vocals and harmonica are especially up my alley. Their sound was too loud tho, even distorted at times. That's it. Go see it for yourself!
