Show was awesome, but TU Center made it horrible.
by Gatorsrule1 on 4/8/14Times Union Center - AlbanyGator Boys are AWESOME! Times Union Center did a horrible job of supporting their show. The performance was fun and educational, but it was impossible to see because the TU Center put them on a 1ft stage.... in other words, unless you were in the first 2 rows, you couldn't see anything. (except the cheap tickets, they actually had a view). Very disappointed. Here is a summary of the issues, all of which were experienced by and mentioned by every person surrounding us. We are not alone in these complaints... 1) We couldn't see anything! Unless we broke our necks to look straight up at the screens, which is stupid. If we wanna look at a screen, we would just watch their TV show! The people who paid only $20 had the best view in the house! The stage was wayyy too low and we were surrounded by children who were upset because they had no idea what was going on. 2) Overpriced. Why the heck did it cost me almost $35 (that's with a $25 ticket) to basically walk around a bunch of vendors. That sort of thing is usually free. Aside from that, the show shouldn't have to cost that much. 3) Didn't get to meet Jimmie and the gang! We had floor seats, and everyone else around us also thought they were going to meet the guys because of what the website said. We were misled and it hurt a lot. My Fiance left in tears because that's all she wanted to do. The box office didn't even let me pay the difference, and they didn't even let me buy her a 3 o'clock ticket. That's just terrible customer service :(
