What a great thrill to see all former UCONN players, men and women compete one more time. El-Amin, Ray Allen, Napier, Sellers, Abrosimova, Rita Williams. They all played great. Jeremy Lamb was the star. The game was seriously contested and went to overtime with Taliek Brown hitting a runner in the end for the win for the Blue Team.
I very much enjoyed this event. What I especially loved was the uconn women were there to play besides just the men. This was a fun event
Entertaining and fun for the whole family. There were players from as far back as 1988 playing or there to show support. Men and women. I can't wait for the next charity basketball game.
What a great time my nephews and I had. I took my nephews and my son (all grown ups lol) to the game and dinner at the casino and they had a blast. The game was awesome the players were friendly, all in all a great day! It was good to see all the old and new players and this was the first time the women played so it was a special event.
The game was great. So cool to see the former uconn stars get together for a charity game and always good to see coach again. Seats were good. The Mohegan arena is cozy so there isn't really a bad seat in the house. We did move up to another section after halftime to get a better look. Overall great game and lots to do afterwards too.
The game was fun. It was nice to see the number of players and coaches return for Calhoun's charity. I was able to meet quite a few players as well. I would definitely attend this event again.
This was a really fun event! All the players seemed to enjoy themselves and it got really exciting towards the end. Great event for any UConn basketball fan!
Seats were great. Easy access. Seeing all those stars playing so hard was really fun Really enjoyed the arena.
I go to this event to get autographs for my personal collection. Most of the players are happy to sign but there is always a few that can't be bothered. I feel that the it is all part of the charity event for the stars to be cooperative to the fans. One player complained that there were people in the hotel lobby bothering him;;;;so..he had all the fans removed from the hotel lobby by security. Perhaps someone should remind these big stars that they & this event are nothing without fan support. The autograph session in the arena was very disorganized..It is every charity game. Some of the stars signed in one spot & just left...yet...some made the rounds so all could get a chance.
Had us sitting on the edge of our seat buzzer basket clinched the game 1 point win
It was great to contribute to a great a cause while seeing the players and coaches that we admire so much...and the game was competitive! I will attend further games. Thanks Jim and UConn.
So much fun to see all the past UCONN players again, and so pleased they come to pay tribute to Calhoun, the university and the fans. Still great players. Will definitely go again next year!
Great Game All the players were at the top of their game
Jim Calhoun Annual Charity game was a win win. We gave to a great charity and had a wonderful time at the event seeing all the UCONN former players. Brought back great memories for us. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Virgil's BBQ and tried our luck at the slots on our way out.
Aince it was basically an exhibition game, players didn't really try or play defense until fourth quarter. Also, SHABAZZ wasnt there
Great fun game just wish all the start would've played (Rudy Gay) and everyone who was supposed to show up did (Rip Hamilton, Shabazz Napier and Emeka Okafor)
Fun event to watch if you have been a UConn fan. Great to see big stars remember their roots and support such a good cause.
As a longtime Husky fan, it was great to see the alum on the basketball court. Became a little competitive in the final minute, but overall just a thrill to see the players. Unfortunately, didn't get any autographs but now I know how it is done so will be prepared next time. Only wish Shabazz had been there. Would have loved to see him and Kemba playing together again. Maybe next time!
We have attended the Calhoun charity game a few times and each one has been enjoyable. Obviously the former UConn players admire their former coach and make the effort to show up to see their team members and their fans. And the fans were definitely there this time, enjoying the game and cheering for their favorite players. Good time was had by all.
My son and I really enjoyed seeing all the current and former stars of UCONN! Even Murry Williams from our hometown of Torrington was there. Ray Allen has always been my favorite UCONN Player, even if he never played for my Knicks...lol
