by bovon on 11/10/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

I have been to about six of jim's concerts in the last few years and his shows are always outstanding. He is an outstanding pianist and showman and plays beautiful music. I can only aspire to play like him. I have a library of Jim's song books and I always look forward to purchasing new ones each time I go to his concert. Continue to inspire and play your beautiful music. See you the next time you are in the dallas area.

    Brickman was a disappointment.

by Chilley on 11/10/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Dear Sirs, My friend and I attended the Jim Brickman concert on Friday, Nov 6th. While we were excited to go and watch Jim Brickman perform, we were truly disappointed with his concert performance. We were expecting to see more of an ensemble, some background effects and perhaps engage his audience (as other performers do), there was, much to my surprise, too much chatter about his past recordings and performance history. As a matter of fact, it sounded so much like he was trying to convince us of his abilities. So, perhaps, going forward for any future engagements, he can fine-tune his approach to his audience/venues. I did not really see the full value of having paid a total of $167 (tickets and parking), so, this was especially disappointing. Thank you.

    Speakers were busted

by jbfan4042 on 11/9/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Jim Brickman's performance was great as always however one of the speakers at Nokia was busted so every time that he played high notes on the piano, there was an unbearable squeal coming from one of the speakers on the right side of the stage.

Romantic Memories with Jim Brickman in Concert

by charcat71 on 11/9/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Jim Brickman is one of our favorite musical recording artists! I saw him for the first time on QVC, a home shopping channel, over 5 yrs. ago. I purchased my first CD for Valentine's, as a gift for my husband of nearly 30 yrs. We listened to Jim’s beautiful piano arrangements over our surround sound system! We are empty nesters & our digital sound system was breathtaking. We were able to "feel the music", saying nothing, as we listened to his brilliant playing. This truly was an unforgettable evening with memories for a lifetime. We were "hooked" on Jim's outstanding talent, playing melodies on one of our favorite instruments, the piano. Last Friday night, Jim's Concert in Grand Prairie's Nokia was exceptional! The two singers, who accompanied Jim, were outstanding. Their harmonic talent was unsurpassed! A++

    Jim Brickman at Nokia

by Taylor2 on 11/9/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Brickman showed his continuing talent and complimented it wtih 2 great vocalists. He has changed his playlist since the past few times; it was nice to hear the new songs. Although Nokia was the perfect size, the accoustics seemed poor for a piano. I had good seats, but the sound from the piano at times, especially from the lower note keys, seemed unclear and foggy.

    The talented Jim Brickman

by LHelm on 11/8/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Jim Brickman & his guest singers did a lovely performance. I known I'm not that old, but the sound could have been turned down at least one digit. With the theatre not full, the sound was overbearing. At the end of the night, I walked away with a headache.

    Jim Brickman Does it Again

by LarryBarber on 11/8/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Jim, Anne and Mark Masri were incredible Friday night. Jim and Anne's banter continues to be adorable between her amazing singing and his beautiful playing. Guest Mark Masri sung a couple of lovely and powerful songs between Jim's phenomenal new songs from "Beautiful World," (the new CD), and Anne's lovely ballads. Jim has created great new stirring melodies to enchant the audience and all the artists took an incredible amount of time after the show to meet with the many audience members who remained to meet with them.

Nokia Theater is a perfect place - not too big and the concert has an intimate feeling. I brought my wife and kids (age 7 and 5) - all of us are amazed by his music and performance.

    Jim Brickman

by Songmin on 11/7/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

This concert in my opinion was a C- at best. There were multiple mistakes in the show from missed mic cues to out of tune singers. Jim played well and I like Jim Brickman songs, but he should not sing. The flow of the show was disjointed and did not take the listener to a peek. Brickman referenced at the beginning of the show that the music would take you somewhere. Especially singer wise, the communication skills didn't get past the first row if it even got off the stage. So it was hard to go anywhere. Lest I am totally negative, the lighting scenes worked well with the song. Whoever designed the lighting did a wonderful job. The downstage curtains were quite attractive also.

Jim Brickman at Nokia in Grand Prairie

by delcharro on 11/7/09Nokia Theatre At Grand Prairie - Grand Prairie

Jim Brickman was awesome! Anne Cochran and especially Mark Masri were great too. Mark exhibited an absolutely incredible vocal range, WOW, what a voice! The only part I did not like was the 1940s circa nightclub music the theatre played before the show and during the intermission....UGH, what a buzz kill! It definitely ruined the mood set wonderfully by Jim Brickman's music.

This was our 6th or 7th time to see Jim Brickman in concert. We enjoyed the show very much. The time spent on "hits" could/should have been longer. Anne Cochran was even better than usual.
