About

With the release of Jesse McCartney’s new single “Better With You” — his first new music since his well-received 2014 album ‘In Technicolor’ — it’s worth noting that the  New York-born singer, songwriter, producer, and actor has had the kind of career that most young artists aspire to. With multiple platinum-selling tracks and a songwriting credit on Leona Lewis’s “Bleeding Love” under his belt, McCartney is ready to introduce his fans to who he is today.

His fans have been waiting almost four years since ‘In Technicolor,’ one of Spin Magazine’s Top Pop Albums of 2014. "It was a transitional time where I just let myself have some space from my career and get some perspective on life, something I really hadn’t had the freedom to do since I was 10. Then, a friend invited me to come to Nashville to do a songwriting camp for other artists,” McCartney recollects. “It triggered a huge surge in creative energy that led me to put this project and team together.” Now that he’s moving, McCartney has no intention of slowing down. He plans to release more music throughout 2018 and bring his dedicated fans along for the ride.

The deliberate attention McCartney pays to his craft is evident in the new songs he is gearing up to release this year, including “Better With You,” which he co-wrote with Brandyn Burnette, Molly Moore, and producer Rob Knox (Justin Timberlake, Rihanna). The acoustic-guitar-driven pop song is more sonically organic than the stylized, ’80s-inspired songs on In Technicolor and McCartney has re-vamped his visuals with art direction by Dewey Saunders (Anderson .Paak, Bridgit Mendler). “It feels fresh to me,” McCartney says. “This is a really strange time,” he says. “Things are contentious. I think a song about finding a safe place with a partner is an uplifting message.”

I was very impressed by Jesse!

by Tiffanypc17 on 8/7/14Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

I have to admit I wasn't always a fan of Jesse McCartney, especially during his teeny bopper stage. I often forgot that he is actually a year older than me (he's 27 as of this writing). As soon as he released his "Departure" album, and opened for the Backstreet Boys "In A World Like This" tour, I knew immediately that this guy has grown. I absolutely love his latest albums, and I thought he did a great job when he opened for BSB last year, and during his "In Technicolor" show. I'm glad I went to this show, and will see him again in the future when he comes back to town.

    Jesse

by TLBJRII on 8/7/14Revolution Live - Ft Lauderdale

This was my very first ever concert, and i have to admit that it was by far te greatest experience i have ever gotten to be a part of. Jesse is such an amazing performer, what sets him apart from anyone else is that when you hear him on a CD or Digital download or however you download your music, he sounds the exact same live and in person. His excitment level is through the roof, and most importantly....HE IS ALL ABOUT HIS FANS!!

    Jesse is AMAZING!!!

    by kec2293 on 8/5/14Mercury Ballroom - Louisville

The concert was amazing. The lighting blew my mind and I loved that Jesse gave his back up dancers a solo moment. The venue, although small, allowed us to be really close to the stage. Guinevere is one of my new favorite artists and Jesse's performance made me feel like I was 14 again seeing him in concert for the first time. I am definitely going out to buy his new album. And I would go see this performance again if I could afford it. I will never stop being excited when Jesse McCartney comes in town and I will always see him in concert when he does.

    Great performer, intimate setting!

    by NathanT96 on 8/2/14Mercury Ballroom - Louisville

Great show! Jesse is a talented performer, who treated us to old favorites and brand new songs. The venue was small so every fan in the room felt like they were right next to him. Just a really fun night watching a great artist.

I love Jesse McCartney even more!!

by Jordanicole on 8/2/14Mercury Ballroom - Louisville

The concert was so amazing for me personally. I'm 17 and my Mom and I got there an hour before the doors opened and ended up with great seats only about 5 feet from the stage!! We could see every detail on Jesse's face. The Mercury Ball room in Louisville, Kentucky was really great too. The staff seemed really helpful when one girl was late for the meet and greet, they were searching all through the line to try and find her so she wouldn't miss the opportunity she paid for. And Jesse himself was not just a great singer, but an awesome entertainer!! I would say all but 5 out of 20+ songs he danced and was very active on stage! The energy at the show was just amazing, and I don't have one complaint!

    Flo Rida made the concert!

    by bballchicaa29 on 12/13/10GIANT Center - Hershey

The only performers worth going to the concert for were Auburn and Flo Rida. They both connected with the audience so well! Flo Rida even through out his own clothing and roses to the audience and walked through the floor seats to meet people! Miranda Cosgrove was awful and we all left before the concert was over, because of her.

    Very entertaining for all!

    by james123 on 12/13/10GIANT Center - Hershey

I took my 8 yr old daughter to the Jingle Ball Thursday night at the Giant Center in Hershey. The show was filled with a lot of fun, excitement, and pre-holiday spirit for the kids and young teens. Emily Osment helped host the event as several teen celebrities took the stage and did a wonderful job of performing their hit songs. Overall the show went well but there seemed to be too much down time in between acts at the beginning and it caused everything to drag out later than expected. Of course Jesse McCartnety and Miranda Cosgrove where the final acts so you had to be there till the end.

    Jesse McCartney was fabulous!

    by Canes2010 on 12/13/10GIANT Center - Hershey

I took my daughter to see the Jingle Ball last Thursday evening. We had a great time. I thought Flo Rida was a little raw especially for the younger crowd in attendance, but my daughter did enjoy him. Auburn was good, and Charice was a trooper performing with a bum foot - her voice is incredible!! Miranda Cosgrove was also good, however she only sang 3 songs. By FAR, Jesse McCartney was the absolute best performer of the night. They said that he was a little under the weather, but you would've never known it. He played at least 8 songs, some old, some new and my daughter and I had the best time when he was on stage. She has been waiting so long to see him as he doesn't tour much and is thrilled that he has a new album coming out. He played to the audience and really looked like he was having a great time on stage. We hope that he starts touring with his new album and will definitely go see him again! The only thing that I would criticize is that there was a painfully long intermission between each performer with really no reason. No equipment was changed on stage. It made what should have probably been a 2 - 2 1/2 hour experience a 4 hour one. Really no need for that. All in all though I would recommend the Jingle Ball to others. (Thanks Jesse for making the show!!!!!)

    Flo Rida was AMAZING!

    by Baller15 on 12/12/10GIANT Center - Hershey

Flo Rida was by far the best band there. I was disappointed that Miranda Cosgrove closed because she did not seem to be the biggest hit. All bands were fun. The intermissions though were too long in between

Jingle Ball??? More like a Jangled Mess!!!

by JMacFan on 12/12/10GIANT Center - Hershey

Whoever directed this event should lose his job! I have never seen such a poorly run show. 25 - 30 minutes between acts? Are you serious? Even after the first act (Auburn, who by the way was great-she knew she had the challenge of starting off a show & getting the crowd pumped & handled it very well) had only done 3 songs & then a 25 minute break? The DJ didn't fill the dead air for 10 full minutes! So uncool. And even when he figured out he had to be "on" between acts, he didn't mix well....I was cringing as I waited for him to bring a tune up to speed so it was in the right key. Let's talk about the "Guest host"??? I had to keep asking her name because she was so forgettable! Somebody got ripped off if they paid for standing up there, nodding her head to agree with the radio guys & looking cold, bored & tired. And when she finally did take the mic, she had nothing to add nor could you hear her voice because she didn't bother to project well. Charice, Flo rida, & Jesse were incredible, but when Miranda Cosgrove opened her mouth and a croaky voice came out obviously from a terrible chest cold - not her fault of course, but I was not willing to stay and listen to it. I am still in shock that she had top billing. The GIANT Center is a nice place to see an event, easy to get in & out of, clean, tons of security, good food. I imagine the talent (Flo rida, Jesse) were insulted by all the problems with this event & you better pray to get anyone famous back to this mess of an event.
