“TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE! It’s terrific! The cast is plain wonderful. The book is as tight and absorbing as an Arthur Miller play. JERSEY BOYS is a show dynamically alive in music while, as a drama, it catches the very texture, almost the actual smell, of its time.”
–Clive Barnes, New York Post
“THE CROWD GOES WILD. I’m talking about the real crowd at the August Wilson Theatre, who seem to have forgotten what year it is or how old they are. And everything that had led up to that curtain call feels as real and vivid as the sting of your hands clapping together.”
–Ben Brantley, The New York Times
“OH, WHAT A FANTASTIC NIGHT YOU’LL HAVE! A phenomenal hit, with more show-stopping hit songs than any new show on Broadway. It’s impossible not to love JERSEY BOYS and this amazing cast. A spectacular, behind-the-scenes tell-all pop musical.”
–Pat Collins, UPN 9 TV
I absolutely loved this show!! I couldn't stop singing
Well written and performed story. Amazed at how many songs I actually knew.
It was amazing. Best show I have ever seen so far.
Great show, even the 2nd time around. Knowing all the songs I wanted to sing along!!
What a great show and the energy and vibe in the theatre was amazing. Its a must see, if not in NYC then on the tour.
I saw the play 3 years ago, and I felt as though the cast played the parts better. Frankie Valli's character looked more like him, and had a stronger role 3 years ago. They were still good, but I definitely feel as though the experience was different.
The show was fabulous, so good I would consider seeing it again if it came to our city.
The theater was a throw back but the seating and view points were still very good. The cast was well into their roles. Music and singing were great.
Amazing show! I would recommend it to people of ages!
This show has run on Broadway for 11 years and is touring all over the country and around the world. That is a mystery. I love Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, but this is one of the weakest shows I've seen. It was never intended to be Shakespeare, but even as a juke box musical, it missed the mark almost always. The cast seemed to be going through the motions. The script was shallow and dull. Granted, it's not meant to be a profound psychological study, but what about going deep enough that these guys emerge as real people instead of cardboard cutouts reciting their lines robotically. Even the costumes, which could have been spectacular, were lackluster. The set was downright ugly and the lighting just functional. Couldn't it have come to life visually at least when the guys burst into song?
So sad the show isn't closing. Fabulous fun show!!!
This was my second time seeing Jersey Boys in NYC It was wonderful-I would go again in a heartbeat. The talent was outstanding-the Music-WOW!!! Everyone should see this show. If it tours in Philadelphia, I will go and see it again.
The show was incredible and the music was exceptional, enjoyed the show very much.
I love the play. It was my third time. So disappointed that Mark Ballas was not performing specifically bought the tickets to see him . We are big fans, but got over it very quickly. Love Love Love the show. Taken may pictures with the stars
I saw this show at least 5 years ago, but my wife never did, Since it was closing on Broadway, I decided it was time to see it again. Needless to say, it was great! The performers ,the music, the score, everything was top notch. I'm glad I had the opportunity to see it again.
The show was excellent!!! It's a shame it's closing in a few weeks. If you can still get tickets, go before it closes. The Jersey jokes are great - especially if you're from New Jersey. Not sure everyone else will get them all.
Great show - Mark Ballas was high energy and represented Frankie Valli very well.
This was my second time seeing the play and it was fantastic. I'm so happy I had the opportunity to see it again before it leaves Broadway. Hoping it comes back soon!
Enjoyed the play!!! The singing and acting were great!!
My mom had wanted to see the show for a long time so we finally went. Mark Ballas as Frankie Valli was just spectacular!! I would see it again. It was THAT good!!!! I couldn't stop dancing in my seat. The music was great and the story line was also very good!!!
