About

JERRY LEWIS LIVE:

Jerry Lewis is a comedic living legend with a long history of entertainment under his belt -- at 87 years old, the multitalented jokester takes the stage with the same vitality and charisma he possessed when he started over seven decades ago, sporting a classic black suit and a big grin. Whether he's performing animated stand-up routines, singing his hit "It All Depends on You," or sharing fond memories of yesteryear, Lewis proves he's an all-around entertainer, making audience members feel more like old friends than spectators. It's been over 70 years since he made his debut, but Lewis' humor and wit are still sharp as ever, and he'll have fans falling out of their seats on his latest tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Jerry Lewis has always had a knack for comedy, playing pranks on his neighbors at a young age and performing mime routines at 15. He launched his career in the late '40s, teaming up with Dean Martin for their comedy shows and earning a cult fan base along the way. During the '50s the duo achieved widespread success with live television appearances and their own comedic film series, but their newfound fame ultimately strained their friendship and led them to pursue solo careers. Since then, Lewis has acted in over  60 films, sung hit tracks like "Rock-A-Bye Your Baby With A Dixie Melody," performed in a number of Broadway musicals, and penned three novels.  Back on tour, the always-cheerful Lewis will have fans in amazement as he shares his many talents at his upcoming shows.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"At 87, Jerry is still sharp, funny, and full of love for his fans. The audience loved him and he loved being there!"

"It was so exciting for everyone in the audience to realize they were in a room with greatness. Jerry Lewis has and will always be THE undisputed king of comedy. Everyone else may come close but still pales in comparison...Jerry is still on top of his comedy and a true artist and humanitarian."

"It was fantastic to see Jerry Lewis grab laughs and roam through old memories. He's a national treasure."

    Just Youtube

by JohnJay82 on 10/19/16St. George Theatre - Staten Island

Unfortunately the show was pretty disappointing. Jerry showed YouTube clips for an hour and called it a night. I don't mind the clips, I understand he's 90, but he should have shared some stories. Telling us he was close to Sammy Davis and then simply cutting to a clip isn't much. I'd skip this one.

An Evening With Jerry Lewis St George Theater

by NYPaul3480 on 10/17/16St George Theater - Staten Island

An Evening With Jerry Lewis, If you are/were a lifetime fan like myself there aren't many surprises here. The movie clips from Cinderfella and The Errand Boy not withstanding. Oddly there was no mention of The Nutty Professor. There was a tribute to Henny Youngman which was fun to revisit. I happened to watching the MDA Telethon when that clip aired. Again nothing new for this fan but entertaining. There were a few one line jokes sadly in large part I had heard before. I touching tribute to Sammy Davis Jr surprising I thought Rock A Bye Your Baby would be the choice. It wasn't I had reasoned I would not see anything I have not seen before. I purchased the tickets anyway. Mr Lewis at 90 my one and only time to see him live was my reasoning .

Jerry is an icon ....i grew up with all of Dean and Jerry's movies.................wished he would have ask the audience for questions , and i would have liked him to make comments on what it was like working with Dean and his family life, what his kids are doing today.......i know he has back problems and how he is dealing with that...............loved all of the clips of his movies............just wished it would have been more of a personal nature...............was moved by his comments of his relationship with Sammy.........i never knew they were so close............good to see that is happy and enjoying coming out to meet his audience who he has entertained for so many yrs..............

    Jerry Lewis Is a Legend!

by MLB76 on 11/2/14Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

This was the first time I have had the opportunity to see Jerry Lewis live. From the moment the lights went out I was in awe of the legend seated before us, wearing a tux like any legend would. The format of the show was clips of old movies interspersed with dialogue from Jerry himself who would tell jokes, sing a song or just set up the clip. After all of his years in show business I am sure he has enough material to fill many nights on stage with audiences eating right out of the palm of his hand. I have no regrets over the ticket price (which was very reasonable) nor the three hour drive it took to see the show. It was well worth it to see a man who's career has spanned decades and who's life is forever entwined with some of the biggest names in Hollywood (and world) history. I highly recommend seeing Jerry Lewis and would love to get the chance to see him again.

    Jerry Lewis

by HapTogetherFan on 11/2/14Effingham Performance Center - Effingham

Seeing him on stage was worth the admission price. He could have selected better video clips to go along with his presentation. At one point he became rather testy with the sound/audio staff.

    Comedian JERRY LEWIS

by Bratx0751 on 11/1/14Effingham Performance Center - Effingham

Brought back a lot of memories. I watched all his shows when I was growing up in the 60's. I am so very glad Jerry Lewis came to Effingham, IL. A dream come true for me. He is and always be the best entertainer ever! He was my idol growing up and I thank him from the bottom of my heart for his performance. Will never forget. I just wish there had been some CD's or merchandise for sale afterwards! Or even signed photographs of him for sale. Best comedian ever. THANKS JERRY!!! The Jerry Lewis Laugh, jokes, and stories of his adventure, father & son experiences, the Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis partnership - all so very interesting. Some things I knew - but learned a lot as well. My thanks goes out to the people or organization that talked Jerry to coming to the Epic Center. Thank You! Nice to see so many people laughing and their smiles.

    Jerry Lewis still going strong!

by Debsjam on 10/30/14Effingham Performance Center - Effingham

We enjoyed Jerry Lewis, can't believe he is 89 years old! He showed some great old clips, just wish he hadn't showed as many as he did. Would have preferred more original comedy from him but we still laughed a lot.

ASIDE FROM THAT IT WAS JUST SPECIAL TO SEE SOMEONE YOU HAVE ADMIRED FOR SOOOOO MANY YEARS!

I have LOVED Jerry Lewis forever....he could have just stood there and I would have been happy. Wish the show could have been longer. I really wish I could have seen him in person in his younger years. It was worth every penny.

    Jerry Lewis

by Kayland on 10/24/14Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

It was exciting to be there and hear all that he had to say. I can now say I have seen him. Everything worked out well. I was sent to the balcony for seating because I got there about 2 minutes into the show. I had just driven in from Chicago so I did not look closely at my ticket until later. I now wish that I would have been closer to the stage. But I take the fault for that of not getting to the correct seat.

by RareGem1964 on 10/23/14Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

I have always been a fan of Jerry Lewis. He made me laugh when I was young, and he still makes me laugh. I enjoyed seeing him and the viewing of his most memorable stories and clips. After the show I realized one of the things that I really enjoy is his positive energy. He puts himself completely into his characters and brings joy to others. I am very glad I went.

    Fine show

by BigJimCMH on 10/22/14Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

He wasn't very mobile, but his brain and his voice are still strong. Jerry Lewis entertained the Columbus audience for about 90 minutes with old jokes, a few stories, a few routines and some wonderful film clips. Very glad I went.

    A dream come true!

by MISSTAMMIE on 10/22/14Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

Jerry Lewis is the most amazing comedian there has ever been. I have loved this man from the first show I ever saw. This is kind of one of those bucket list things in life. The only thing that I wish they would have done is to have a meet and greet. I would have given anything to meet him. Lots of love to you and your family, and nanny prayers.

    Jerry Lewis is a legend

by Megafantoo on 10/22/14Wexner Center Mershon Auditorium - Columbus

Have been a fan my whole life. Have seen him many times over the years. This appearance was mainly film clips, all of which I've either seen or own. The people I was with really enjoyed it. Would have been better with a Q & A at some point for something unique.
